Reena looked back over at him. A smile crossed her muzzle as she replied, "Y'know, out in the middle of nowhere. Really far from other towns and stuff."

"Oh... I've never heard that term before." Wolf replies, "Strange since I'm in the 'boonies' a lot myself."

"Maybe it's a term used more often by big city people," Reena suggested, "Though I do think I hear it more often in the South, too. So I guess if you're out there in the boonies already, people don't use the word so much."

"So long as everyone else understands those words." Wolf says, "Then you don't have to explain it to them because they don't know."

Wolf stops and thinks about that.

"Well... I guess you've got a point there." he admits, "But I don't know if I'm going to use the extra words that much. You might be wasting your time."

"Well, can you think of anything better to do instead?" Reena asked, tilting her head slightly. She clicked a button on her phone and glanced down at it again.

He shakes his head.

"I can't. This is fairly new to me." he replies.

"Then we're not wasting any more time than we might have been otherwise," Reena smiled, "'Sides! Maybe one day someone will use that word and you'll remember hearing it now. If anything, we just saved the time of you having to learn the word later." Her smile widened as she seemed content with her reasoning.

He tilts his head slightly.

"How do you figure that?" he asks, "I had to learn it now and it would have taken longer if it happened later, wouldn't it?"

"I dunno, what if it happened later while you were doing something else?" Reena suggested, "Then that woulda taken time from whatever else you were doing. But now, you know it so you'll know exactly what it means the next time you hear it instead of stopping to ask. Right?"

The grin remained on her face for the time being. Reena turned her attention back to her phone now, the screen lighting up as she tapped the screen a couple of times. With her bare feet, she reached out and slid her boots back over close to her so she would be able to put them back on.

"Are you checking something on there?" he asks.

Reena glanced up from her phone.
"Yeah, just looking to see if anyone said anything about stuff I've posted today or if any of my friends have posted," she replied, "But I'll put on my boots in a sec here and we can go check out what kinda food they got here."
