Beginning of a Journey

He swallows slightly and blushes a little.

"Uh... yeah. That could happen, I suppose." he replies.

"Not a whole lot else to do in here except stay comfy," she pointed out. Reena finally started to shift away from Wolf, though, turning away and scooting farther down the bench towards where she'd left her water bottle on the floor. Staying on her knees, she knelt on the bench and then bent way down to grab the bottle before straightening back up. With her water reacquired, she opened it and took a drink.

Wolf watches as Reena moves away from him. This allows him to adjust his own position for the first time since she'd joined him on the bench. He notices that he feels a bit stiff from sitting in one spot for so long. So, he swings his legs off the bench and sets his feet on the floor, then begins to stretch a little while he remains sitting.

Reena sat back on her feet again and looked over to see Wolf stretching. She tilted her head slightly.
"Did you not move that whole time we were there?" she asked.

"No." he replies, "I didn't want to disturb you."

He slowly stands up and then resumes stretching.

"Awww," Reena cooed with a smile, "That's so sweet."

Wolf looks over at her.

"I was just being polite." he replies.

"That counts," Reena said, taking another drink from her bottle. She closed it afterward and set it between her legs before reaching to her back pocket and taking out her phone.

Wolf yawns briefly and then sits back down on the bench.

"So... do we have much more time to pass here?" he asks.

"That's what I'm gonna find out," Reena replied, as she tapped away at her phone. "I'm gonna check and see what the name of the station we're going to is and see how close we are."

"Oh, okay." Wolf replies.

With nothing else to do for the moment he watches Reena work.

Reena continued to do her thing quickly and it was about a minute or so before she started scooting back towards Wolf.
"Got it!" she said, "Here, look."
She moved over to let Wolf see her screen, which showed a hybrid map and a blue dot in the center. The Klee Kai pointed one finger to the dot and said, "That's us there on the track."
She then gestured across the screen somehow and it zoomed out quite far. She then pointed to where one could see another town, far down the tracks from where the blue dot was.
"And here's where we're going," she added.

"Oh... okay." Wolf replies, not really grasping what the images she was showing him meant.

"So we've probably got, like, another hour or two, I think," Reena said, pulling her phone back to herself and tapping the screen a few more times.

Wolf sighs softly once she explains that too him.

"I don't know if I can go for another couple of hours of just sitting around..." he says, "I feel like I need something to keep me occupied."

"I can't blame you there," Reena agreed, "I think long trips like this are better late at night so you can sleep through the whole thing." She looked around the cabin. "I'm sure we could find something to do, though."

"I don't know about that..." he replies, "There's not a lot here for us to do."

"Well, we could play something on my computer," Reena suggested, "I might check and see what hotels they have ahead and book us a room for the night so we have a place to go after we grab dinner, too."

"I'm not really any good with technology..." Wolf says, "At best I could watch whatever you do."

"Well, I can teach you," Reena offered, "It's always good to learn new tech."

"Oh... I guess so." he says, curious about that idea.

"A lot of it isn't really all that hard to learn," Reena explained, "I'm sure it'll come in handy for you one day."

"I guess so." he replies, "I've just never had need of it and it never seemed that common in places I'd visited."

"Maybe 'cause so much can be hidden in people's pockets?" she suggested, "Tech gear gets smaller and smaller all the time, it seems."

"Oh... well, that could be it." he says, "I might have seen it and not noticed."
