Beginning of a Journey

"Yyyeah, we're definitely gonna be here for a while," she agreed with a nod.
Reena looked up from her computer screen.
"You gonna sit down?" she asked.

"Maybe in a while." he says, "After what just happened, I think I'll stay on my feet until things quiet back down again."

He looks up and down the train platform.

"I might just walk around too." he adds.

Reena nodded. "Alright, that's cool. I'm gonna go ahead and do some updates for my blog for a little bit and see how much time that takes up," she said.

Wolf nods to her.

"Alright then." he says, "I'll probably pass by here fairly frequently while I walk, so if you need me for anything, I shouldn't be too far away at any given time."

Without setting down his bag or his sword, Wolf walks away from the canine, making his way to the far end of the platform. Once there, he's turns around and heads back towards the other end.

"Alright, I'll probably just be here," Reena admitted.
She turned her attention to her laptop, beginning to toy around with various things. She also took out her phone, switching back and forth between the two devices as she worked.

Wolf paces up and down the length of the train platform, walking around other passengers waiting for their own trains to arrive and take them to their various destinations.

After a little more than thirty minutes, things had return to the relative quiet that had been there before the unexpected appearance of the armour clad individual that Wolf had run into outside of town. Wolf makes his way back over to the bench that the canine was sitting at and keeping herself occupied and comes to a stop just behind her. He looks over her shoulder from his standing position.

"So... you still keeping busy here?" he asks her.

Reena kept herself entertained as well, uploading pictures she'd taken that morning with her camera and a few other pictures from the day. It didn't take too long, even with the editing she did for a couple, and she had finished within half an hour.
From there, she simply began to check out other things she had missed online during the day.
As Wolf spoke from behind her, her ears perked up and she peered up over her shoulder.
"Oh! Hey, Wolf," she greeted with a smile, "Not really. I finished up my stuff and now I'm just kinda killin' time."

Wolf nods back to her.

"Alright, that sounds good." he says, "While I was walking a realized that I haven't even asked you your name yet..."

He frowns slightly.

"It's been a couple of hours... maybe they were kinda busy, but I probably should have asked before now." he adds.

A smile spread out across the Klee Kai's muzzle.
"I get the feeling you weren't expecting for us to hang out for a while either so I can understand my name not coming up," she admitted.
She set her laptop aside, stood up from the bench, and turned around. The canine extended one paw out towards Wolf, likely to shake his paw, should he return the gesture.
"I'm Reena," she introduced herself.

"No, I really wasn't." he replies.

He reaches out to grasp her paw and shake it.

"I'm rather... solitary. I don't spend much time interacting with others." he says, as he releases his hold on her paw.

Reena simply continued to smile and she nodded, lowering her paw back to her side.
"Yyyyeah, I can tell," she pointed out, "You've got that whole 'lone wolf' thing kinda goin' on."

"Lone wolf..." he repeats softly, considering that statement for several moments.

He nods his head slowly.

"I suppose that is a literally accurate statement." he says, "It's what I know best it seems."

Reena tilted her head slightly.
"Do you just not really like socializing or is it more of a lifestyle thing, do you think?" she asked.
The Klee Kai just couldn't help being nosy...

Wolf shrugs slightly.

"It's probably a bit of both." he replies, "I guess my way of life doesn't make social activity much of a priority."

"Traveling a lot can do that," Reena remarked, "But at least you can get a little bit of company coming into town and rescuing dogs from trees, right?"
She smirked a bit, clearly making a joke about her earlier issue.

"That would appear to be the case." he replies, "And what would you have done, if I hadn't come along? The other two we ran into didn't seem like they would be that interested in helping out others."

"I dunno," Reena admitted, smiling sheepishly, "I mean, they might've helped me. None of them seemed overly mean or anything. And if no one came along, I just would've probably thrown away my dignity and called the fire department."

"Oh, well, at least I spared you that much." Wolf says.

He slowly moves around to the front of the bench, and takes a seat there making sure to not move any of Reena's belongings or take her spot.

"And you got lunch and a train ride," Reena teased, nudging Wolf's arm with one paw before also sitting back down. She set her laptop back in her lap again, closing whatever she had been looking at.

"Well, you did save me the trouble of tracking down food myself." he says, looking over at her, "I'll have to see what this train is like before I can determine how it compares to travel on foot... but I assume it'll be quite an improvement."

"Well, in terms of distance and travel time, it's definitely better than walking. A lot less tiring, too," Reena pointed out, "Though at the worst, maybe if it's a long trip you might get bored staring out the window. At least walking you get to see your surroundings better and can check cool stuff out."

Wolf nods and falls silent for the moment. He wasn't sure of how to continue this particular conversation given how little he knew of trains and other forms of travel. Instead, he sits back on the bench, adjusting his sword and bag to keep them out of his and Reena's way, then glances up towards the sky.

Reena shut off her laptop promptly afterward and, once it was off, she folded it shut, then leaned forward to return the device back into her bag.
Upon sitting up straight again, the dog looked over at Wolf. She'd glanced over when he adjusted his belongings and finally really taken note of his sword. And, of course, with nothing else to do now, she could ask more questions.
"So!" she started, leaning forward in her seat and resting her elbows on her knees.
"What's with the sword?"

"The sword? It's just my preferred method of defense while traveling around." he replies, looking over at her, "It tends to be a useful tool as well during and after hunting."

"Pocket knives and daggers just not do it for ya, huh?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
