Beginning of a Journey

"Don't like the idea of being out of contact?" he asks.

"Nope, not really," Reena admitted. She smiled a bit sheepishly as she lowered her phone and the screen went off. "Though my parents do say I'm addicted to my tech," she added.
The canine set her phone aside and leaned down to pull her boots back on.
"Which isn't to say I won't travel at all if I can't get connected," she pointed out, "But knowing I can easily get in touch with anyone I need to at any time is kind of like a security blanket, I guess."

Wolf nods in understanding.

"Makes sense." he says, "Guess it's only a problem if you become overly reliant on it."

"Yeah," the Klee Kai agreed, "I know there are some people who are a lot worse about it than I am."
She made quick, practiced work of pulling her boots back onto her feet and re-tying the laces. From there, she stood up and grabbed her phone off the bench again.
"Now then! Ready to go?" She looked over at Wolf.

"Sure." he says, standing up from the bench.

"Kibble time it is, then," Reena smiled. She stepped over to the cabin door and opened it, peering outside.
"Though I have no idea which way the food is, so we'll have to ask someone..." she added, taking note of whether there were any attendants nearby.

"Maybe it's towards the front. They sent us back here to sit." Wolf suggests.

"Maybe. We can head that way until we find someone," Reena said. She stepped out of the cabin and started heading towards the front of the train.

Wolf follows Reena out of the cabin, stopping long enough to close the cabin door, then following after her.

Reena started to make her way forward through the train, taking her time in doing so and looking around curiously as she went.

The car they were in was lined with cabins for the various passengers on board. The car in front of them was an identical one. The car beyond that was setup as the dining car for the passengers. There were also a couple of other passengers making their way to or from that direction too.

Wolf trails along behind Reena as she proceeds through the train.

In the end, Reena wound up just exploring about rather than asking for any directions. It took some time as she lead the way through the train cars, but they eventually did reach the dining car. Reena could particularly tell they were headed in the right direction once she was able to catch the scent of food getting stronger as they approached.
Upon entering the dining car, she looked back at Wolf and smiled. "Here we are! That wasn't so hard," she commented.

Wolf continues along with Reena until they reach the dining car. He glances over at her.

"Well, you had a fifty-fifty chance of being right." he adds.

"And I totally got it," Reena pointed out. She started off to join in whatever line there might be to get food.

There was a line of passengers near the far end of the train car. There was a counter where they could make their orders and then move away to the sitting areas on either side of the car to wait and eat.

Wolf follows Reena over to the end of the lineup.

"So, what are you in the mood for?" Reena asked Wolf as they joined the line to get their food.

"I think I'd like to go for some more meat." Wolf replies, "Whatever else comes with it is just a bonus."

"Alright," Reena said, "It looks like they have a menu once you get up a bit closer so we can check to see what they've got."

Wolf nods to her.

"It smells like they have some good options." he adds.

"Doesn't it, though?" Reena agreed. She looked in front of them, listening to the orders made by others and taking note of what seemed to be available.

It required ten more minutes of waiting before Wolf and Reena reach the front of the line so they can make their order.

"Hello. What can we get you today?" the attendant at the counter asks.

Reena smiled as she nodded to the attendant. "Hi, lemme get a bacon wrap for me, please, with some water," she replied. She stepped to the side a bit and glanced back at Wolf. "And for this guy...?" she prompted him.

Wolf looks at Reena and then back to the attendant.

"I'll have the same." he says.

The attendant nods, and then rings up the amount for their orders.

Reena reached into her pocket, digging out some of her money to count out the proper amount, then handing it to the attendant.

The attendant accepts her payment.

"If you'll just take a seat, we'll call your order once it is ready." he says.
