Beginning of a Journey

"Alright, Wolf and Zero..."

The Klee Kai had whipped out her phone and was rapidly tapping away at the screen with both thumbs as she mumbled the names she'd been given.
She was just finishing up when there was yet another racket of sound rapidly approaching. The dog turned to see what appeared to be a man in military garb and a mask come leaping from the foliage of the forest. It was surprising enough that her ears perked right up and she clutched her phone closer to her chest. When he fell back over the log, the canine only blinked a couple of times, then promptly raised her phone and snapped a picture of his legs sticking out from the other side of the downed tree.

'Meeting all kinds of people today!' was the caption that came to mind this time.

Wolf kept his gaze on Zero for the moment, while the canine continued to play with the device in her paws. The sound of twigs and sticks breaking nearby, draws his attention. Wolf turns to glance in that direction, once again placing a paw on the hilt of his sword, but he only sees a pair of legs dangling over a log some distance away.

*Another one? Really?* Wolf thinks to himself, relaxing himself just a little, *I haven't even gotten into town and already I've run into a crowd...*

- Not amused by this the armored figure lifts himself up, of course now is plain sight they could see he was far from a normal person, armored up and armed the masked figure resembled some what of a Soldier.

 And of course a dead give away with the weapon he held in his hands a 12 gauge pump action shotgun, His armor and helmet seemed worn, looks like he had seen some action. This unknown person began too make his way down with his weapon slung over his shoulder, Each step made a thud from his boots and every step he appeared that much bigger. Until it was clear he was a soldier of G.U.N...well former but he sure looked intimating with all that firepower and armor.-

( OOC: Well... I'm gonna make a judgment call here to get things moving again. It's been two days since the last post. I know MyNameIsNotILS isn't well and I can bet that getting on here to post isn't on his list of priorities. So, I'm suggesting that we skip over him for the time being. When he returns, MyNameIsNotILS can join back in where we are. For now, we carry on without him following the same post order for the rest of us. )

As the man stood up, Reena mostly watched through the screen of her phone as she snapped a couple more pictures. The short canine soon realized, though, that the closer he came, the further and further up she had to look to keep him within sight of the camera. He was, after all, substantially taller than her small frame.
Finally, the Klee Kai peered up from her phone. Now she was actually starting to register just what was stomping over in their direction. It was more than a little intimidating to see this armored, masked figure carrying a large firearm and heading right for her and the other two people she had only just met and Reena's eyes widened a little at the sight.
She was unaccustomed to military personnel, only ever seeing them in photos and on television and she often heard negative things about them as well. The dog promptly found herself wondering if maybe she shouldn't be snapping potentially embarrassing photos of someone armed with a shotgun...

'Mistakes may have been made,' flashed through her mind briefly.

She stood her ground, though, unable to resist her curiosity to see what this stranger might do.

Wolf moves out towards this other stranger, putting himself a couple of paces ahead of the other two there with him. Even though he didn't know them, neither of them seemed fit to handle any sort of danger... and the stranger radiated a noticeable level of danger through his appearance and what he was carrying.

"Can we do something for you?" Wolf asks as the armoured man approaches.

-The armored figure came too a halt before the wolf now virtually up close he could make out this was indeed a soldier..or it seemed too be that way. Heavily armored and of course a fate " G " on the side of his left shoulder armor indicated G.U.N. At first glance this was a G.U.N soldier but the logo was well worn as was the rest of his armor. What made the situation even more uncomfortable is that there were a few claw marks across the armor and minor splodges of dried blood. The armored figure lowered his weapon before them speaking in a distorted radio tone due too the helmet on his head.-

" Greetings mobians no need too be alarmed I am not here too cause trouble too too shoot you. So you call can relax. My name is Shrike..and before you jump too any conclusion no. I am not allied with G.U.N...well not any more but that is a long story. I am surprised at you lot..usually those who see the green soldier run for their lives...hmm guess you not heard the stories..that is good.... I suppose."

As the man drew closer and closer, her nerves got the best of her and Reena felt no shame in inching more behind Wolf once he stepped forward. She lowered her phone in front of her as Wolf directed a question to the stranger, then listened to the response that ensued.
The mention of G.U.N. did little in terms of a reaction for her. She had only heard a couple of things in passing about the military organization, but didn't get any positive feelings from its mention.

"Stories?" she blurted out, "What stories?" The Klee Kai's head tipped to one side slightly. "Are you a deserter?"

Wolf listens to the soldier's reply and he's about to ask something when the canine behind him blurts out a series of questions in succession. He closes his mouth and glances back over his shoulder at her, then returns his full focus to the soldier to see how he replies to her.

-Shrike turned back too the canine behind him obviously his appearance had spun interest he assumed they were gonna ask a lot of questions too him and he well he didn't mind that so long as they were not hostile too him he would not do any thing stupid.-

" Well..Miss too answer it in short no...no I am not a deserter my reason for...leaving was something different all together..and the stories..huh..well if I told you, you probably wouldn't believe me."

-Shrike turned back too the wolf who seemed too hold his own questions-

" I can see you there. I can also see you want too ask something. Go ahead speak whats on your mind..and no I am not gonna kill you if I have too tell you...I never liked that saying any way."

The reply she received made Reena furrow her brow a bit. She had heard and seen all sorts of things and believed them well enough. She was still easily surprised, but had definitely learned that there were many, many strange things in this world.
Reena considered asking more questions, but by the time she thought to do so, Shrike had shifted his attention to Wolf instead. The dog also looked to Wolf as well to see what he had to say.

Wolf shakes his head slightly.

"Nevermind." he replies, "I don't really think it matters now... Especially since you just said that we likely wouldn't believe what you'd say anyway."

*Strange choice of words from him...* he thinks to himself, *He thinks we should be scared of him due to stories spread by others... I wonder what he has done... and why he shows up ready for battle.*

He continues to watch the soldier warily.

" Very well then...Wolf suit yourself...And just because I wear armor and have a large weapon doesn't mean I destroy every thing I see....Well not entirely at least."

-Shrike shifts his attention back too the canine altho she could not see his face she could sense he was looking directly into her behind the tinted visor of his helmet. He slings the large weapons onto his back as he turns his attention too her.-

" Very well then perhaps you wanted too say more...If both of you want me gone say it and it shall be done..I just don't see many people any more...they either..well trying too find me..or are running from me..take your pick..but any way..what is it you wanted too say."

"Well, maybe people run 'cause you look like somethin' out of an apocalypse movie," Reena suggested, perhaps a little more bluntly than she intended. She tucked her phone away into her pocket as she continued, "I mean, the giant gun, the--"
She paused and squinted her eyes to look closer at Shrike's armor. "Is.. that blood?" she questioned. "See, you miiiight wanna wash that off..."
The Klee Kai brought her paws up to rest one on her hip and the other on her camera bag. "But, you're just lonely and want people to talk to?" she asked.

Wolf narrows his eyes at the soldier but keeps quiet while the soldier resumes conversing with the canine. Wolf moves aside and starts to walk, putting some distance between him and the others. He doesn't go far, stopping after about a dozen paces. He looks over towards the nearby town.

*What am I even doing loitering around here with these three strangers?* he thinks to himself.

He looks back towards them.

*They'd be well enough without me. They all got here on their own after all... except the girl since she got stuck in a tree...*

He glances back towards town, continuing to linger while they converse.

-Shrike was not offended by her words actually she hit the nail on the head-

" Well with out me even mentioning a word you hit it on the head. You see these marks , blood and so on..these are all from a very very dark event that took place not too long ago. The entire story will take forever too say. But let is just say this..Iv seen things..been too a place..which will break even the hardest of people...It even broke me..and right now Im trying too fix things with myself..and what happened..but yes all in all..its gets pretty lonely when most of the world is out too get you..when you have no one on your side..and those who fled with you are scattered..but again..I mean no harm too you or....hey..where did wolfy go...Oh there he is..I see maybe he has another....agenda on his mind."

- Shrike left the side of the Canine too quickly approach the wolf on the left side. slowly staring at what he was looking at.- 

" I know I know it must feel strange..we are all complete stangers..I guess you just wanted a break huh ? Didn't expect all this? "

Reena's head tilted over to one side as Shrike seemed to give something of an explanation of himself. He certainly liked to talk, that was for sure. She'd glanced over towards Wolf when he distanced himself from them, but let Shrike keep talking in the meantime.
When he became distracted by Wolf's absence, though, the dog found herself actually silent for once as she watched him hurry after the wolf. She pulled out her phone and promptly began typing into it, making notes for updating her blog later.

"Why would this be strange?" Wolf asks, not even looking over at the soldier, "I know that when you approach places like this you're going to have to deal with people, whether you know them or not, one way or another. I'm sure we all have our own reasons for coming here."

He glances sidelong at the soldier.

"So really... I don't care that I ran into people here. It happens and it's unavoidable." he adds, "If I wanted to lower the chances of it happening, I could have stayed where I was."

-Shrike looked back at the Canine snapping pictures of him not really amused by this last thing he wanted was his image too go over the net.-

" Yea well I suppose this is where you heading..I have no desire too enter any populated areas..can not risk it..I usually take the quiet roots too avoid contact..it just seems here with this little..unfortunate sighting I was spotted...Well then I am sure you want too get going..now if you excuse me I have words with the Canine."

-Shrike left the wolfs side heading back towards the Canine shaking his hand too stop with the pictures.- 

" Hey hey look I don't mind pictures but not of me ok..I don't want it too be posted on some sight or something..I can't afford that right now so please..no photos unless you can promise me no one else will see them alright...its all I ask."

((Oops, someone didn't read my post right. :P But I'll roll with it.))

The Klee Kai was just finishing up whatever she was typing to herself by the time Shrike had finished his little conversation with Wolf. She looked up to see hands nearly the size of her head being waved at her as he approached and it was just enough to make her eyes widen a bit. The dog took a couple of steps over to her left before her ears managed to catch the words coming through the soldier's helmet and she paused.
Promptly after, Reena furrowed her brow and shook her head. "I'm not taking any photos!" she insisted, holding out her phone to allow Shrike to see the screen, currently covered in the various words she had typed out. She didn't leave it long enough to allow him to read any of it, of course, before drawing the cell phone close to her again.
"I didn't even have my phone pointed at you," she added out, "I'm just making notes for my blog later so I don't forget anything I wanted to write down."

Wolf turns as the soldier walks away and watches them as they speak to one another. Although this doesn't really involve him, he turns the rest of the way towards them and starts to walk back towards them. He watches the soldier, waiting to see how he would react to her reply.

-Shrike saw only a brief glimpse of what she had on her phone but it seemed it was clear..perhaps he was just being paranoid about the whole thing but he did feel like he was creating suspicions among the two so he just acted like he didn't care and was over it-

" Oh I see forgive me..Its just..yea never mind I just thought wrong didn't mean too startle you"

- It was pretty clear for some time The renegade had reached for his weapon but had returned his arms too his side.-

Reena had tensed visibly when it seemed Shrike was reaching for his gun and she looked ready to run up until he lowered his arms again. She still didn't relax, though, watching him more warily now. When he apologized, she relaxed just a bit and waved one little paw dismissively.

"Uh... Don't worry about it," she replied, "I do take a lotta pictures most of the time." She glanced towards Wolf as she saw him coming back towards them again.

Wolf had tensed up when he saw the soldier start reaching for his weapon. He was about to move forward to involve himself in the situation when the soldier changed his mind and lowered his hands again. Wolf moves over alongside the soldier, but keeps some distance from him.

"Were you actually about to draw a weapon on her?" he asks, glaring at him as he awaits a reply.

-Shrike a rather hard person too convince accepted it since she had no idea who he really was so he let things go back only too hear a question pointed at him with a not such nice tone. It was the wolf, Shrike turned around too face him.-

" Im on edge as it is ok..every thing I feel like is out too get me so I question an will take every thing in a careful manner..perhaps I did over react with the weapon..but if you knew what was going on you would understand..but I'll try and keep it too a low."
