[ Love Challenge ] Alkira

"Cause just because I won't lead you their doesn't mean I can't tell you where to go" he said. "And don't even bother alkira. You won't find me"

Lux looked to alkira. "Go talk with him I'll watch Najara"

She nodded, thanking Lux quietly as she stood and climbed a little higher in the trees to be closer to Votaru. "Why the change of heart?" She asked simply, waiting to see if he'd reveal himself.

"Who said it was a change of heart?" He said almost denying that he was helping her. "Maybe I'm just telling you so you don't have to bug me and naturu tomorrow" he suddenly appeared in front of her hanging upside down.

"Sure.." She murmured, eyeing him quizzically for a moment. "So, the directions, then?"

The female suddenly noticed, this was closer than the two had ever been so far. She could see him much easier now, her one useable eye having made it harder for her previously to make out much of his face. Her attention seemed suddenly unfocused on actually conversing as she took in his facial features curiously. After all, the closest she had been to another bat -- besides Najara and Pach-- had been ages ago.

"Go south to the river. Follow it east till you reach the lake. From the lake follow the red barked trees, that will lead you to the colony" he said closing his eyes as he recited the directions. He opened them only to find her eyes staring directly into his. He felt strangly at peace as he looked at her taking her image into his mind. His ears twitched a little as they hung from the top of his head.

She snapped back to reality as he began giving her instructions, now listening carefully so that she could follow them later. The female nodded in understanding as he finished, continuing to return his gaze. "Thank you.." She murmured, "Is there anything else about the colony I should know?"

"Don't mention me to anyone. Stay clear of the shaman. And when you enter look for jiroka, she's the one caring for your friend" Votaru said. He folded his arms. "Any more questions?"

Alkira shook her head slowly. "No.. I think that is good." She murmured, "Thank you, for your help Votaru."

Votaru nodded. "Just promise to stay safe alright" he said before vanishing into the leaves.

Lux sat awake. Guarding Najara. But his mind wandered. 'Votaru and alkira have been talking for a while now. Something tells me they care about eachother but something is holding them back' he thought

Alkira returned to the two moments later, resuming her seat next to Najara as he slept. "Thanks for watching him." She murmured, glancing down at the sleeping pup.

He seemed to whine a little in his sleep suddenly, and Alkira gently rubbed his stomach to soothe him. "So.. Lux.." She murmured, keeping her eyes on Najara. "How well do you know Votaru? What kind of person is he?"

"I know a few things but I can tell his heart is in the right place. He loves animals. He's friends with almost every creature except deer fish and bears." Lux looked at her. "Why do you ask?"

"No reason." She said quickly, keeping her gaze away from his own. "Just curious."

Alkira opened her wings a little, stretching then for a moment, "I suppose we should get to bed soon.. Tomorrow is going to be busy.."

Lux chuckled. "Sleep well alkira."lux lay down falling to sleep.

Zotaru sat in camp thinking. His mind seemed to be stuck on alkira. Nature chuckled
"Quiet you" he said.

Alkira nodded slowly, laying down next to the bat pup at her side. She wondered if it was selfish of herself to be interested in the other bat, when her priorities should have been elsewhere.. Getting Najara back to his mother, returning the totem to her colony.

Giving a soft sigh, the fruit bat settled finally into sleep, making herself as comfortable as she could.

Votaru Was about to fall asleep when he heard a twig snap. He jumped up spear in hand. Then he was attacked

The next morning a wolf howl sounded under the trio. Naturu had volatu on his back and he was cut and beaten. Lux woke jumping to the branch above. "Blasted canines"

"Hm..?" Alkira's ears jerked upwards at the noise, pulling her half out of sleep. It took her groggy brain a moment to process exactly what the sound was, and when it hit her suddenly she was immediately on her feet.

"That's Votaru's wolf.." She murmured, sparing a glance up at her feline companion. She raised a brow, "Afraid of wolves, cat?" The bat snickered under her breath.

She began to make her way down from the treetops, only to freeze in place once she spotted the male in his battered condition. "Votaru!" Alkira gasped sharply, quickly dropping down to the jungle floor. "What happened?!"

"Hard skinned creatures ambushed me..." He said weakly. "Naturu had to pick me up and carry me..... It hurts..."

Lux sighed. "Canines startle me ok!"

"At least you got away.." Alkira murmured, looking over his wounds as she moved closer to him, though she seemed more cautious as she stepped around Naturu. "What sort of wounds do you have?"

"They broke my wings... And my left leg... The blades thy had hit my arms..." He said. He looked to her. His pain clear on his face.

Lux looked at him. "I can fix the wings. But the arm with have to heal on it's own. I can make a quick sling." He started to  get the thigs he would need.

"What do you mean you can fix his wings?" Alkira asked, turning to watch the feline move away to fetch supplies. 

She clutched the totem around her neck softly as she turned her attention back to the bat. "Do you have any open wounds? I .. Think I could help with that." She murmured.

He grimaced. "One of them stuck my spear into my shoulder."

Lux looked to her. "I mean I can heal them. But it takes a lot of energy to do"

She nodded to him, moving to take a better look at his shoulder. The female pulled away any clothing (( if any, I'm not sure what he looks like/wears xD )) from the wound, taking a good look at it. "You'll have to stay still, okay? This will probably hurt.." Still clutching the totem, she pulled it away from around her neck, instead wrapping the rope it was tied to around her forearm. 

She gently placed the smooth stone against one end of the wound, falling silent as she stared hard forward, seeming to be concentrating intensely on the little totem. With time, the rock seemed to glow a faint blue-green, and the light seeped through her fingertips. She dragged it across the wound slowly, and the flesh began to close itself. For the moment, a burning sensation would rip through the male bat's shoulder and down his arm and chest.

Votaru wears leather vest and bear skin pants he made himself)

Votaru winced. "Good gods that hurts!" He said grinding his teeth together.

Lux sat back down. And had his only organic at over his wings. A light glowed from it as votaru's wings seemed to flutter back good as new.

Votaru was shocked. "My wings aren't broken?..." He fluttered them a little.

Alkira pulled the stone back as she finished closing the wound, and the glow from it seemed to flicker several times before it finally died. "Yeah.. Sorry mine wasn't as painless.." She murmured, before glancing over at Lux.

"How'd you do that?"

"I use to be a healer. Tended to my big brothers wounds" lux said. "My abilities are limited" he said puting votaru's broken arm in a sling. "There ya go"

Votaru sat up. "Thanks... Both of you... Um do you mind if We stay with you guys.... Those things are still in my camp"
