Atlas of Worlds (Pt. 1)

"There's probably gone, just like that town." This only made Mirui angrier.

"You think they all died for nothing?"

"This is the same one that destroyed part of the convoy; open fire!" The scientists hid and the soldiers begun firing their guns.

"hmm" Liela became intangible. She knew wouldn't do this for long but only long enough for them to notice they have no effect on her.

There was a silence between the two of them, but oddly enough, it was Mirui that broke the silence

"Everything I knew is gone. And no one cares."

The soldiers stopped firing. "Switch to energy weapons and Type 7 munitions." Half the soldiers switched to an energy-shooting sidearms, while the others opted for magical ammo.

Then, they begun firing again.

"no" liela gasped. "Of course these guys would be prepared!" Liela tried dodging and shooting with her gunblade

"Why do you think I'm here, with you?" Nikki asked.

When they got hit, their armour absorbed most of it, only sending them back a little.

But when she got it, it hurt. A lot. Though no bullets left no bullet holes, they did leave some really bad bruises, cuts and gashes, the most noticeable being the one on the right arm and the one across her stomach,

For one reason or another, they were not aiming for the head.

"yes..That is right" liela was moving slower. She got mad. "How can you take hits like tha-that!!" She changed weapons to her scythe.

Nikki kissed him.

The soldiers laid down deployable, magical barriers and brought out the big guns.

Of course, those too had Type 7 ammunition.

"..." -///-

Liela was surprised
She wasn't expecting them to be this prepared. She threw stronger dark beams at then all. But she really was doing it slower and slower as time went on

Mirui has left dumbfooted. "h-how long?" he managed to burt out. "how long did you-"

Nikki's response was a smile.

Click. Click. Click.

No more bullets.

"cute" liela smiled. "Heh..Out so soon?" She slew closer to them swiping her scythe

Nikki had him against a tree. "Oh, quite some time."

It cut into a solder, but became stuck in his shoulder. In the meantime, others pulled out melee weapons out of Type 7 material.

>\\\\< "oh.."

Liela tried to pull out the scythe. She threw beams at the guy's arm to blow it off

Another kiss. "Nikki, are you-?"

"Yes, I'm sure. Completely."

A clean cut through the bone, followed by excessive bleeding. He died within seconds.

The rest came at her with staffs and batons.

"hmm" liela turned back to look at them. "Why couldn't you all just put your weapons down?! Now you all are going to die!!!'

Mirui's hands ran down her shoulders, undoing the buckles on them an leaving them bare.

"We don't bargain with terrorists!"

""well..." "I'm no terrorist! You were the ones chase down my friend with guns!!!"

The next few scenes were silent, as far as words were involved.

Due to it being a film meant for teenagers, it only showed bare breasts for a few seconds, some mild implications and a passionate kiss.

"We wanted to take her with us to ask a few questions, but she wounded of my colleagues and started running, red eyes and everything," the soldier argued. "Then you came along."

"heh..." "You activated her military programing! She probably thought you guys were going to do something Worse to her!" Liela Walked closer to them."I thought you guys were going to hurt her..so I acted appropriatly"

The next shot had them laying in the grass, Nikki resting her head on his chest. Both were shirtless, but the angle made sure to conceal nudity.

"What am I supposed to do then?" Mirui asked her. "It's why I trained..."

"With casual murder and dismemberment," the solid continued. "You will pay for what you've done."

"just use that training for something better"
Liela rolled her eyes. "What you want them brought back to life then?"

Mirui tried to stand up, but Nikka didn't let him. "I wasn't done talking yet and you're already leaving," she chuckled."Were you really driven by just revenge this entire way?"

"Enough jokes and talking."

Unlike in most action movies, the remaining soldiers all attacked at once.

"hm?" Liela didn't want to fight anymore. She just began dodging."you all are making this so complicated."

Mirui managed to sit up and started contemplating what brought him this far.

Various scenes were shown from his childhood and early adulthood. The two of them did a lot of good things together, but each time there was a whiff of a clue to the things that destroyed his home, he snapped.

No more small talk; they were relentless in their pursuit to neutralize her.

"no..." Liela sighed. She flew up and stayed there. "Can you all please stop?"

"Why did I survive that night?" Mirui asked. "Why did the two of us-" But he didn't finish that thought.

The soldiers stopped, batons still held tightly. She had bruises all over. Torn clothing, too.
