Beginning of a Journey

"Not at all. I don't really fight if I can avoid it." he replies, "But beyond that, if you don't get me closer to the bed I certainly won't have to sleep there tonight. So I'll win in that regard too."

"Oh, you are just full of shade, aren't you?" Reena grinned. "So you're just gonna let me keep jumping around here while you stay across the room, huh?"

"I certainly could. You could keep throwing pillows, but you'd run out soon enough." he replies.

"And I'll bet you've got some kinda trick up your sleeve if I go after you, don'cha?" Reena asked.

"No tricks, but I do feel like I hold the advantages." he replies, smiling back at her.

"Yeah, so what is this, a stalemate?" Reena asked, "Doesn't look like either of us wants to give up their own advantage."

"For the most part." he replies, "I consider it an improvement for me cause I now have two pillows."

"Two pillows that won't do you any good if you don't come and git some!" Reena pointed out, hitting her pillows together again. "Otherwise, we're just standing here, holding up pillows and making idle threats."
She adjusted her stance a little again.
"So c'mon, mister advantage. Do somethin', I dare ya!"

"If I have to..." he says with a sigh. He walks back towards the bed, adjusting his grip on the pillow in his left paw, to make it better suited for blocking.

Reena grinned wider, crouching a little.
"Knowing my luck, even from up here I'm at a disadvantage anyway," she admitted.
As Wolf came into reach, of course she immediately made a test swing at him, aiming more for his shoulder to see how he'd react.

He moves to block her swing, letting her pillow hit his. He watches her to see if she swings the other pillow now.

And, being as predictable as she was, the Klee Kai did swing her other pillow right after, this time aiming for Wolf's head. She drew back the pillow in her right paw, but didn't yet strike with it.

Wolf moves his left arm over towards his right side to block her second swing.

After her second swing, Reena drew back both pillows. She smiled as she noted, "You know, beating you with pillows when you get close to the bed is probably not the best way to convince you to sleep here."

"Obviously." Wolf replies.
He moves to his left, shifting his left arm and pillow to block Reena's swing from the right, and trying to dodge the swing from her left. He also prepares to swing the pillow in his right paw.

"But I mean, it did get you over here when nothing else would," the canine added.
She saw him move his right pillow and she raised up both pillows in front of her, keeping one level with her chest and the other just high enough for her to peek over it and still be able to see Wolf.

"I have the feeling that you'd come after me if I settle down and drop my guard." he replies as he swings the pillow towards her legs, "When I did that the first time, you threw things at me."

"Aww, you were askin' for it--Eep! Then!" Reena insisted. She squeaked in the middle of her reply as Wolf's pillow hit her right across the legs before she could block it. She took a couple of little steps backwards and then swung out her right pillow again towards his shoulder.
"Haha!"

Wolf shifts the pillow in his left paw to block her swing as he brings back the pillow in his right paw.

When he didn't immediately swing at her again, Reena gave a little hop forward. She held both pillows apart and then brought them both together from either side of Wolf in something of a clapping motion, looking to catch him in the middle of the two around his shoulders.
Her tail was still wagging a bit, but she wasn't really swinging the pillows in her paws too hard.

Seeing Reena pull back both arms to swing at him again, he waits until she is swinging to drop down into a crouch and out from between the two pillows. After they hit, he stands back up thrusting the pillow he was holding in his left paw upward towards hers to knock them up.

Reena again stepped back as the two pillows she was holding were knocked up and towards her. She giggled after, though, and then just shoved both pillows forward at Wolf's face.

Wolf lifts his left arm to try and hold Reena's pillows back. He steps towards his right and forward, so he's a bit closer to the edge of the bed. He then swings his right arm in a wider arc towards Reena's left side, but reaching past her slightly, to make the pillow he was holding with his right paw arc around and hit her backside and upper legs from behind.

She spotted the movement of Wolf apparently reaching around behind her and the feeling of the pillow hitting her under her tail made her squeak again. Reena flinched forward in a poor attempt to avoid the strike, which didn't do anything but put her closer to Wolf and closer to the edge of the bed.
To maintain her balance, she also kept both pillows in front of her, keeping them smushed up against the pillow Wolf was using to block.

With Reena moving forward and leaning in against him, Wolf crouches down and backs up suddenly, looking to see if she'd overbalance or not.
