Strings Of Fate & Falling

Roxy choked on her water, accidentally snorted it up her nose at the comment. "Ugh...don't say things like that. I'm losing my appetite." she groaned. She was so not into the whole Max was her knight idea. This wasn't some rom-com or fairy-tale. The thought almost made her sick.

"I'm just teasing you." She said. "Sorry I couldn't help myself."

"Emilia leave the poor girl alone" it was max's father mister primos. "She's been through enough as far as you know" he said sitting at the table serving himself. "Have you decided when you want to go home little one" he addressed Roxanne now

Oh god! She'd forgotten about her mother and she had spent hours here. She must've been so worried.

Roxy made an uncomfortable noise and shifted in her seat. "Um...soon I suppose. I mean, my mom - " she paused, looking down.

"We'll talk about that on the way there little one. All you have to do is tell me when your ready to head out." He said with a friendly fatherly smile

"Ok." she replied, before continuing to eat the rest of her breakfast. She was still so hungry but she forced herself to not scoff her food down like some pig.

"Emilia, where is your brother" he asked. 

"I heard from out new friend that he was playing body gurnard outside her door" she said

"Your mother must be putting him to bed. Very well." He said standing. He walked for the door "I'll be just outside when your ready little one"

Roxy nodded, before she finished off her food. With a quick 'thank you' and nod to Emilia, she then dashed outside. She really shouldn't waste any more time. It was time she should be heading home.

Mr. primos sat in a chair outside. "Ready to go?"

"Hmm-mm." she instantly replied, looking back at the house one last time before approaching him.

He stood. "Alright I let us be going her said as they began to walk. Once they got out of the village he spoke again. "I know you may not want to talk about this but, I may be able to help you and your mother. But I need you to tell me everything that's going on"

Roxy nodded hesitantly before she told the whole story, particularly the time her father almost starved her without her mother knowing, and the incident where her mother had lost consciousness one time. She was nervous about telling this to him, but again, he had a trustworthy face, and she wasn't harmed at all at the village.

She walked with her head down, hand behind her back as she felt uneasy. Then, she mentioned several other marks on her that were old.

He listen to every word. His face got grimmer and grimmer with each story. And when roxy finished. He was silent for a moment. Then he spoke. "Ok. Once we get there I want you to stay behind me, and don't listen to your father. If things get hairy I want you to get your mother and head to the village. Go to Lenora as quick as you can. Am I understood?" He asked

Roxanne hiccupped, then sniffled. "Ok...." she whimpered, fiddling with her top. She was dreading a scene starting before her, but she did want herself and her mother gone from that place. A new start. And these people were willing to take them in; complete strangers! She never knew people like this existed in this world.

He walked in front of her as he came to there house and knocked on the door. Hard. Roxy could feel the rage coming off him after hearing her story. And if she didn't know before she knew that he would probably start a fight with her father. But he wanted to settle this as peaceful as possible.

That was a thud inside. Shortly followed by a bellow. "I said 'No more freakin' advertisements!'" A male opened the door with a yank, wearing a scowl. Then he looked confused. "What do you want?" Then he noticed Roxanne behind him.

"Where the hell have you been you little scum! You've been gone for hours!" he growled, giving her daggers.

Roxanne hid behind him more with a shaky breath.

"Talk to her like that again and you'll wish you hadn't." He said with an edge in his tone. "Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Either way your wife and daughter are comin with me." Mr primos looked unafraid of the male.

Roxanne gripped to Mr. Primos absentmindedly.

Her father tensed, but straightened himself. "This is my property...mate." he practically spat out the words. "What makes you think you can just come to my house and take my daughter and wife away? The hell do you think you are?" he snarled, taking a step forward.

"Leoric primos, a better man and father than you'll ever be." He said with a growl. "And I think i have the right to stop you from beat a defence less woman and little girl." His eyes seemed to bore into Roxanne's father. "Now either you move out of the way and let your wife out of this house mate or I throw you out of the way. Your choice"

Roxanne tensed, as she could feel her father's rage from here.

"What does that make you then, huh? You been seeing her or something?" he scoffed. "This is my house, scumbag. They're. Not. Leaving." he growled, a small appearance of claws and dark haze appearing at his feet.

Roxanne whimpered as she glanced between them frantically.

Leoric sighed. "Go to your mother Roxanne" he said his eyes gave a bright red flash as flames appear on his arms. "Ready to try you luck" he growled he grabbed her father by the collar throwing him outside with tremendous force.

Roxanne nodded before she ran inside to her mother, whimpering in fright.

Her father growled, as he rose from the ground, his claws out and his entire being enveloped in a dark haze. "You're dead!" he snarled. Then, several shadows of himself appeared on the ground around him in a circular formation. It resembled something demonic.

Leoric stood unwavering as what resembled Phoenix wings spread from behind his back. "Who or what are you? Your defiantly not mobian." It was unnerving how calm leoric was as he walked closer to roxy's father

He suddenly chuckled, slowly and incredibly low. His voice was really distorted now. He didn't answer him, but with a tilt of his head, all the shadow forms on the ground extended and headed towards him an incredible speed, before he then disappeared in smoke.

Roxanne cried out. "Mommy? Mommy!"

Leoric grinned. He spoke words of an ancient language and a heavenly circle appeared at his feet. "Demon power seal. Reveal!" A blast of light hit each shadow forcing the male to reveal himself. 'I have to buy them time to escape' he thought

Roxanne raced about the house, frantically searching, when she finally found her mother lying on the floor in the kitchen. "Mom!"

There was a low chuckled before he appeared again, similar to ink being dropped into water. Demonic symbols and lines appeared on his skin and glowed a crimson as he eyes turned black completely. Her started whispering a native language himself as more blasts of smoke and poison gas shot towards him, faces appearing on them. It was a horrific sight, like they were tortured souls.
