Milenial Meeting Empty Milenial Meeting

Post by lady-tragedy Sat Jan 04, 2014 9:05 pm

It was a seperate dimension, the only way in was through each gods 'Home' the buble of reality they created for themselves as a living space. This dimension looked like a large meeting room though and it was large enough to contain all of the gods. The table was of course, round. For none of the gods would tolerate the illusion of someone being higher then the other.

Argus waited patiently for the others to settle. The god of balance was large, even in the appearance he took to allow mortals to relate to him more. He was silver, looking like an odd mixture of an alien, a frilled lizard and a dragon. His silver eyes glowing softly with power as he waited patiently.

Mephio was attending the meeting for the first time in well... milenia. One of the younger gods, Mephio had been sulking over the loss of a mortal. Said loss had also lead him to curse an entire species into a slow extinction. Argus eyes shifted to the other gods. No doubt they would want to have a word about that.

The god of benevolence was in his mortal guise as well. A red fox with long hair and flowing golden and blue robes. He didn't seem worried and Argus wondered if his younger brother even knew he was in trouble. No sense in worrying, he was usualy well behaved... unlike some others...

His eyes shifted to the sulking shadow opposed of Mephio. Nega's silhoutte resembled an odd mix of a gremlin and a gargoyle. But it was impossible to pin down his true appearance the way his mass kept shifting and changing. Nega would probably plead and whine for his release from his home dimension where Mephio had 'grounded' him. The majority had agreed it was best for him to stay there so to maintain the balance.

ah yes, the balance, his responsibility and an important one. It was because of this he was usualy the one to speak justice between the gods. Ofcourse if the others didn't back his judgement it was quite empty. But they usualy trusted it.

His eyes travelled to klepture, his expression souring a little. Speaking of keeping the balance, there would be a few words on Klepturo's recent behaviour. He would personally make sure of that..

Milenial Meeting Empty Re: Milenial Meeting

Post by Caliburn Sat Jan 04, 2014 9:39 pm

And slowly the light in the room seemed to dim a little as a black mist seeped in, getting thicker in density in one section, taking up one of the spaces on the table, before eventually it formed into that of a jetblack furred, white skinned, monochrome hedgehog.

Eyes grey in color, and appearance literally sucking the color away from a certain radius around it. Though a divine being, it seemed to prefer to adapt to the most common species on the planet Mobius, and be portrayed as male.

Despite everything else, 'he' just nodded to the other gods, and didn't say a single word. Quite... normal for 'him'.

And there was also another in the room, who had been there for a while now, sitting with a glass beside him, hand hovering above it as the water inside shifted like the seas. Push and pull of the moon. Head resting in the palm of his hand, and face clearly displaying a 'I AM BORED' expression, the god of water, Klepturo, gave a sigh. "I do hope this meeting gets started soon." He said simply, glancing around the room.

His patience was running out.

The god then looked back to his glass, before making a small whirlpool inside of the glass as well. At least being in this meeting got him away from his son. Oh, what a lovely pleasure that was.

Speaking of fun and games, games were fun, were they not? Except when they were not, in which it was no longer a game nor fun. But a game this one played, and with a partner no less (since who would have a game without a friend to play with? Why, that was foolish!) which sat in the seat next to him, both staring down in front of them in concentration. Or a forced distraction from dealing with irritating, insulting problems caused by selfishness. But who could tell? Perhaps you could from the firm expressions focused on the board, the occasional pause, the-

Clack.

-Movement of a chess piece. Things were a game, you see. Good and evil, they were one the same. Like the two sides of a coin. If it were flipped, equal chance of landing on both. Equal chances at what ways the heart will twist and turn. A game on how the heart pushes and pulls towards its destination, if it flows or resists its calling and purpose. What would win? It was a matter of how the game was played. One wrong move and-

Clack.

-The game was won. Or lost. It's all about perspective. Two sides of a coin. Good and evil. It all depended on how you looked at it. Nothing was every truly black and white. In every darkness there was light, and in all light there was darkness. One was never without the other.

Clack.

Facing their chess partner was a dragon, an eastern dragon. His name? Elpis, god of good and good-willed. His fur was as black as coal, yet his muzzle and tail as bright and white as day. The dragon adorned white robes which wrapped down to his ankles in a very old-fashioned, traditional sense and was decorated with a golden pattern, similar to the colour of those antlers atop his furry head. His great beard hug down, tied twice, and swung like and evening breeze every time he leaned in to analyse the battlefield before him with those golden white-ringed eyes, his black claws gently tapping on the table like a distorted ticking of a clock. His brow furrowed as he thought for a moment on his partner's action before sighing and gently picking a piece up and sliding it to its location with great delicacy.

"Your move."

Right along side the eastern dragon sat a western one, scales bright as fresh fallen snow. Even with the smallest shimmer reflecting off them. Muzzle and a few other details a warm silvery color, an underlying feeling of pink to it. Calmly the western dragon leaned back, silvery fingers tapping at the chess board as she considered her move. Yes her, so far the only goddess of the group.

"Checkmate" The goddess of evil spoke in a calm sultry voice as she moved her piece. Flipping her dull red hair back and out of her face, red rimmed eyes with white mids looking over at the yin to her yang. "Better luck next time, care to pass on the tea?" She spoke, crossing her legs. Clothing wise she seemed by far the only one who had gone along with times, a rather over sized red shirt with a belt right around the waist, black leggings and loose silvery shoes.

Now there was another one in the room, no stable form, mist curling ever so lightly as it took on somewhat of a stable form, a clear face and gears in the air, the sound of ticking accompanied the figure. Bright glowing blue eyes observing the rest as his fingers twitched ever so lightly. He was not too fond of leaving his own little dimension. Well actually he was but at the same time, this meant talking and talking meant effort and the likes. Ugh he disliked that. Much bigger fan of just resting back and enjoying life. As much as you can call being mist a 'life'.

"Order, Order, everyone settle down"Argus peacefull monotone rang out. His lipless mouth never moved and his eyes were closed while his third eye was open"Welcome to the Milenial meeting everyone, the task of hosting had fallen to me this milenium, please try not to be too hard on me and behave yourselfs for the duration of the meeting" he added wryly.

"First is the matter of who will be the host on the next milenial meeting.."he gestured and a jar with paper slips appeared infront of him. He reached into it with his long flexible claw like fingers and pulled out the slip "Next mileniums host will be Elpis...". He glared at Nega in slight annoyance when the shadowy shifting form of the malevolent god groaned at that.

"So that moves us on to the agenda of complaints and the like at the adress of our peers... anyone want to start with a grievance?"

The shadowy figure of Nega sat a little straighter, seeming ready to speek, but Argus cut him off smoothly"Other then nega and his usual plea?". The shadowy figure made a huff and settle back again. It's purple glowing eyes glaring daggers at Argus.

And so the monochrome hedgie stopped his black misty aura from seeping through, color returning to the areas around him. Just waiting for others to speak. His only REAL purpose of being here was to listen. He had no real problems with other gods, besides Klepturo and Nega, though those two were normally dealt with quite well without his input. With a simple folding of his arms, he glanced to the chess game before looking towards the glass which the god of water was manipulating.

Klepturo... had other ideas. He was visibly taking notice that people were going to complain about things, the whirlpool stopping, and him looking up a bit towards the others. Without a doubt he was going to get a swarm of complaints. Though needless to say...

He really didn't care.

Despite all of the possible consequences, he really just didn't care at all. He turned up solely because he had to, and once it was over and done with everything from the meeting would be out of his mind and he would go back to doing the usual stuff.

The monochrome hedgehog looked at Klepturo and frowned a bit in irritance. Despite his silence and usual attitudes to things, the dark one took meetings very seriously. Just a shaking of his head at the god of water before he glanced back to the two chess addicts.

Milenial Meeting Empty Re: Milenial Meeting

Post by Spekkal Sun Jan 05, 2014 9:06 pm

"A wonderful game," the god of good commented, voice old and full of wisdom and experience, the black eastern dragon giving a warm smile towards his counterpart and shining those aging wrinkles on his old scales. His long fluffed tail wrapped around a placed tea pot and began to pour the contents into two mugs. The steam hissed into the air, breaking the awkward silence for but a few seconds for each pouring. Elpis leaned over the table and arched a furry white brow - green tea. What a wonderful delicacy during such a stressful meeting. After carefully and slowly sliding the second mug to the goddess of evil, he frowned slightly, wrapping the drink in his claws and bringing it to his muzzle to sip at.

"I shall take that responsibility and prepare for the next," he replied calmly to his name-calling. Organising meetings was such a bore, if he were honest, and hosting them was not something this dragon envied. Rather, he quite liked sitting to the side and commenting when was necessary. But in hindsight, so did everyone else, and that of course met with the occasional awkward silence such as this one. Well, the best he could do was suck it up and wait his meeting out.

Problems, problems. Let us get this great big god ball rolling, shall we? There was one issue which was greatly to be discussed with a certain Mephio, and in fact both him and his dear Pandora were giving the fellow the occasional glare as voices droned on, yet had not spoken a word or hushed a little peep of the issue at hand. Cursing their own kind. It was insulting. And why? Because he was the one to meddle in affairs. Yet that was not for light right now, no. He would simply continue to glare with his golden eyes.

Speaking of meddling...

"I do have an issue to bring up, Argus," Elpis began with that warm smile, taking another quiet sip of his steaming hot drink, pausing just for a moment to feel the tea slide down his gullet, before his long tail wrapped around the mug and whisked it from his hands which, in turn, began to stroke at that long white beard of his, "And that is the issue of Klepturo over there and his associations with the mortal world. I do believe it must be discussed that he must keep his hands away from their lives, and that he must realise that they are not his playthings to do which as he pleases."

The black scaled beast turned to the water god and slowly blinked, hands settling across the chessboard to re-arrange the pieces for another game. Perhaps this game shall signify where this meeting goes. Elpis continued with his slow drawl-like voice, his gentle smile fading into a rather disappointing frown, like a mother would to a child: "We must not intefere with their lives, nor should we be known-" he glanced at Mephio, "-to them under our names. We disguise ourselves for a reason - to watch this world we have created evolve, be it for best and worst. I simply do not approve of our hands upon them like strings to a puppet, pulling them to go where we want. It is their own choice on what path they take, not ours."

Milenial Meeting Empty Re: Milenial Meeting

Post by Uncanny-Illustrator Sun Jan 05, 2014 9:33 pm

Ah yes joy, must mean that the next meeting would be over at their little bubble of chess and tea. That was going to be sooooo much fun. Honestly she hated these meetings. All it was for her was just complaining and repetition. Wow do not mess with the little mortals that are idiots. Oh how badly she wanted to often. But that cursed unspoken rule of not meddling with them. Boy she hated that. Really there had been days where temptation had been so great to just.....do it. And there had been times where her hand miiiiight have slipped after a fight with the other dragon. But overall she behaved, never killing or heavily changing things.

As much as the black dragon was giving the glances so was his counter part. The red ringed eyes giving judgmental glances over in silence. As she kept her lips pressed together. Accepting the mug with tea with one hand as her free hand rested on the table. Nails ever so lightly tapping on it. "Such as turning that entire poor group into little kids. Now explain to me how that even falls under his jurisdiction."

Calmly she awaited for the other to set the pieces back up, eyes already scanning the board as entire strategies formed in her mind. Always with the smallest smile on her lips. Ah the amazing symbolism of such a simple game.

And their the other went on his near...daily rant? By now she well knew his lovely little rant from start to finish thanks to having heard it that much. "So that was why you hide out as Mr. Blingbling crow YOLOSwag?" Yes she was still agitated about that, would have been much better if he had just worn a kilt but noooooo. He had to wear those ridiculous hip hop clothes. Her claws calmly picking up one of her pieces, studying it silently before placing it back down on it's spot, awaiting the start set of the other.

Milenial Meeting Empty Re: Milenial Meeting

Post by lady-tragedy Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:02 pm

The god of balance raised it's hands placatingly. The glares in the direction did not go unoticed by him. He was slightly protective of Nega and Mephio, they where his brothers in a sense after all. But Mephio would have to face the consequence of his actions. His normal eyes lidded halfway as he gave the fox like god a side ways glance, even as his third eye remained open.

But his eyes closed again as his third eye settled on klepturo with frightening intensity. "Indeed.. he's even received a warning after the child incident.. however this had not kept him from interfering further. Most recent of which was the reviving of the mortal Toxic, which is not in his juristriction, it is life and death who make those descisions. You are upsetting the balance amongst us klepturo"With that last line anger had started to seep into Argus usual monotone.

This caused Nega to lean forward, his mouth opening in a wide tar dripping grin and his tongue lolled out to lick some of the dripping black ooze he was made off, eager to see Klepturo getting reamed out. Like a shark smelling blood. He was hoping his peers would do something drastic. Maybe another god would be made to share his fate?oh, that would give him an ally.

Mephio gave the Malevolent god a disgusted look, muttering something about vultures. One of the youngest amongst them he usualy remained quiet, but the fox like god was squirming in his chair under the glares cast his way by the twin dragon gods. He was sure one of their comments was aimed at him.

Ok sure, he'd gone to the paladins to make them twart Nega escaping.. but he'd not broken any rules. He'd simply chatted to the old paladin and told him where to find something. That was all. But he had a feeling that wasn't the only reason the dragons where glaring at him.

To be honest he had a hard time not glaring right back at them.

He really...really.. hated dragons...

Milenial Meeting Empty Re: Milenial Meeting

Post by Caliburn Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:16 pm

And like hell was he going to sit in silence and take it. Immediately, Klepturo spoke up.

"As if it REALLY matters. I always appear as I am right now. Mortals usually see me as another one of them anyway, just some random guy blessed with the powers of a thousand suns, who THINKS he is a god. Hooray for blasphemious mortals everywhere."

He stated, twirling the waters from out of the glass and throughout the gaps in between his fingers. "Turning the group into children? Worse things can be done~!" He then coughed at the reminder of reviving Toxic. "Giving mortals hope is one of the best things gods can do, in my opinion."

Finally, the glass the waters were now back in cracked in the edges, some of the water coming out.

"If you kindly paid attention to Flood, who seems to think making tsunamis is fun, you'd see that what I've done is nothing. And the occasional play with the mortals is far more entertaining than just watching their communities collapse alone. You still have people that believe in gods, and without any divine interventions, people lose faith. And when people lose faith... You get people like Nathan Archimedes. Just imagine that, 4 quintillion years of evolutionary success. Leading to a planet full of people like that. In fact it's on that way already what with the angsty lost parent crowd coming along." Honestly it just seemed like Klepturo was blind at times.

The monochrome hedgehog awaited the input from the others. Just... silent. It was quite creepy if you took great notice, actually.

"Your child is your own responsibility - do not bring his actions into this meeting and state it is out fault; it is your own," the elder dragon replied calmly, clicking a little pawn piece to its designated place within the battlefield. He considered the argument too like a game of chess - Klepturo was making rather laughable moves, his army quickly taken and slayed in battle, his own side reigning high and mighty. Yet it was not too late for the water god to offer a draw and surrender. He could offer that sympathy, "You treat the mortal world like my pawns on my chess board. That is not divine intervention. Rather, that is a reason for them to dismiss us if they see us think them as tools to do our bidding. Just because it is not 'the worst thing to be done' does not mean it should be done at all, my friend."

Another piece down. Clack. His irritated scowl remained on his face as his beard swayed side to side like the ticking of a clock. "You are not bringing them hope. So do not use that in an argument when your evidence contradicts the statement." With his move complete, the scowl slowly slid into a gentle smile once more and his tail brought the tea to his face to take a tiny sip, "As for your question, my dear twin? I do enjoy seeing your reactions to my antics. It does brighten up each day the more agitated you get with my little pranks~" Elpis gave a playful smirk towards the goddess of evil beside him, his head shaking in amusement.

She sat quiet, listening in and well considering what to say next. The squirming of the fox god not having gone unnoticed and that faint mischievous glimmer in her eye was well telling that she knew they had hit the spot. Her legs uncrossed only to cross again but this time with the other leg on top. Focus leaivng the majority of the group for a moment to observe the chessboard.

"As much as I would love to toy with mortals...." She paused in her words to swiftly move one of her pieces. "The more you toy with them the angrier they will become, the less they will believe in gods and the more they will turn against us. The only way it should be allowed if done under discussion with the rest of us and only linked to the things we are in control over." Another pause as she streched out and lend back in her spot. "And thus in your case it would be water. Not stuff such as life indeed or the age being changed."

The western dragon's head lulled back a bit, eyes aimed to above and beyond. Face showing the lines of thinking before she spoke again. "However some indeed are starting to forget us. We should do something about that. We are not to be forgotten."

No real reply was given to her twin god, just a remote glare. Oh she would get him back sometime soon for that stunt he had pulled.

"This does not change the fact that you have broken our laws and have overstepped the perimeters of your juristriction..by meddling with both time and life..." Argus stated, sounding almost bored in his monotone. However his eyes opened half ways even while his third eye remained open at the mention of flood.

"Since you kindly bring the issue of flood up yourself klepturo...your son is YOUR responsibility, as any Demi god is their parents responsibility.." He felt mephio wince at that. " therefor his abusing his powers and the damage it causes is laid at your feet. Please do tell us how you plan to control him, or we might decide to control him for you...for the greater good ofcourse" he smiled a thin, lipless smile at him.

His gaze travelled to pandora" I must agree as well though that mortals are starting to forget us... But while concerning its not up to us to correct them...they will eventually remember..." His tone was unconcerned but there was a slight worry in his eyes.

" I say we give them a reminder.." Nega's honey and tar voice dripped from his corner" allow me and pandora to raise a little havoc hmm? Nothing like a little conflict and death to instill believe.. Mortals are fickle..they only believe when they're in dire need.. So let us create that need and restore things too...their proper balance~?"

Klepturo raised an eyebrow slightly, frowning. Blah blah blah blah blah. That's all he heard. "They may not be chesspieces, but I wasn't using them as such, was I now?" He stated irritably. "If I was using them as that, not a single mortal would have any free will." He then shrugged a bit at the other's point. "Control over just water would be fine, but tell me, when was the last time we actually did anything in the mortal world other than just watch? Besides me." He went on.

Suddenly he jolted a bit, and his eyes got a really defensive look. "If you so much as touch my son's free will..." He immediately calmed down, before frowning again. "Hm... I've done enough to stop him from misbehaving, yet nothing seems to work. Although Holly did a good job with the hammer to the face stunt."

"...I agree with Nega, actually." Simply spoke the voice of the monochrome hedgehog. He nodded to Nega a bit, before glancing back to Argus. That was a pretty good idea indeed... At least to him. He was getting rather bored of observing peace. Though, that whole stunt with the orange hedgehog Punk proved quite... horrifying, to say the least. Attacking kids. Lovely. "..."

"Doing so would upset the balance between good and evil - the world is fine as it in and swarming it with more negativity will only worsen the so-called 'situation'. We should not reign despair upon them just so we hear their pleas - do you not all realise how selfish and wrong that is?" Elpis questioned the group, sliding a chess piece forward on the board carefully, before pausing and sliding it back to reconsider the angle he was taking, "If you must interfere, do so in such a way that it does not affect their lives. Become that stranger on the street, not the vocal scoundrel who wants to cause chaos because they can or their love interest." He cast a snide glance at Mephio, finger tap-tap-tapping against the head of the pawn within his grip.

Placing the selected piece upon the board, he turned, propping his head up with his arms, elbows against the table in slight annoyance at Klepturo's words, "He is still your responsibility, not ours on if he misbehaves or not. Perhaps the reason he misbehaves is because of your treatment towards him?" he inquired, "Many do what they are told not to do. It's usually within nature. Limiting them only makes them foul and rebellious - they simply learn from the consequences from their actions," a pause, "But this is not a meeting on parenting, but of the current situation with the mortal world and our own actions upon it."

His tail flicked, placing the tea upon the table and working the chess board for him while his hands were occupied with the table, pausing in his words every now and again to look at the board's status. "A few believe we should cause chaos and despair. Others believe we should continue as we are and punish those who interfere. Quite a confliction we have here. Yet, in the end, we must come to a vote on what we prefer, no?"

The god frowned, looking at each of them one by one with his warm, golden eyes - "So, what shall we do about this predicament?"
