It wasn't long before Roxy fell asleep in the chair, her previous exhaustion overcoming her again.

Ruby smiled at his words whilst giggling, cracking the last egg into the pan that began sizzling, moving back a little to avoid being spat at.

Azrael smiled. "Alright now go tell your brothers to set the table." He said smiling setting her down on the floor

She obeyed as she went over to them, snapping them out of their thoughts and fascination with the film with a harsh clap in their face. "Come on lazy boys! Time to set the table." She said, hand on her hips.

Skoll got up silently and went to work. Ignis slowly stood. "Thanks you snowflake " he said with a smile as he went to help his brother

Azrael smiled "now ruby I want you to get washed up before we continue"

She grimaced, fixing Ignis a glare but remained silent before her father spoke to her. Ruby bit the inside of her cheek at his suggestion but she obeyed, turning round with a huff before stomping upstairs to the bathroom without a word.

Roxy was still asleep in her chair, snoring quietly as there were noises from the shower spray upstairs. Ruby was obviously washing herself quickly as possible, humming Roxanne's song as she cleaned up.

Azrael smiled as her took the waffles off and the eggs. He started to place food on the table. He smiled a little working on the little vase with a single rose that was always placed by roxy's plate.

Ruby came down minutes later, her fur a little scruffy but she was clean of the batter she'd covered herself in as she rushed towards the table, looking over to view her and father's work. She giggled a little, sitting on her seat.

Azrael smiled walking over to Roxy. "Roxy time to wake up honey. It's breakfast time and your daughter worked very hard"

Roxanne groaned again, peeling her eyes open and looking at him wearily. "Oh...breakfast." She yawned, struggling to get out of her seat with numb arms.

Roxanne grunted, fixing him a glare but only half meaning it as she took the mug from him carefully. "Thank you." she said, taking a sip and sighing a little. Eventually she managed to get up out of the chair and to the table, rubbing her eyes again.

Az chuckled. Suddenly his ears twitched... And the dream slowly shifted into nightmare. "Kids! Roxy!"

Az shot up panting and sweating out of fear.... It was just a dream.

Roxanne was deep in sleep next to him, not even showing the slightest reaction from his start as she snored quietly beside him. Her expression was calm and almost innocent as she was wrapped up in her side of the covers.

Azrael looked to her. He smiled a little as he kissed her forehead. "Sleep well roxy..." He whispered as he got up. He got dressed and walked out of the room. "I have to be stronger." He said going out front. And with that he began to train

She slept soundly, occasionally murmuring something soft in her sleep. She must be dreaming about something because she reached up to place a hand on the pillow, smiling a cute smile as her cheeks tinged a subtle red.

Azrael continued to train driven that he had to be stronger, that he had to be strong to protect his family now and in the future.

When Roxanne stirred approximately two hours, she awoke to an empty space at her side and to the sound of someone grunting and snarling with effort outside. She didn't have to think twice about wondering what was happening as she exhaled a sigh, along with a snarl. After being injured by Ratchet and already he was training?

She wished she could move her damned legs! So she could kick his backside.

You know roxy you could just heal yourself came maxus' voice as the spirit appeared laying next to her.

Azrael panted he was close to exaution. He slowly hobbled inside. He winced as his wounds started to flare

She huffed, fixing him a look. "No offence Maxus, but even your powers can't heal this. I was a host for an archangel. There's bound to be consequences...that I can't help." she said, sinking further into the bed. "There are worse consequences, trust me...but it meant getting rid of Ratchet so I was going to take the risk."

Max looked to her. "You never really explained ratchet to me." He said "when I was alive anyway you always avoided the question"

She flinched, sighing whilst looking away. "Because I never wanted to bring up my past abuser...other than my own father..." she said distantly, looking down to the floor instead.

Roxy sighed again, looking out of the window. "Not really...not the whole story anyway. I don't like to talk about it. Though, he already knows about my past because apparently you told him..." she looked to him then with a pointed expression.
