63 felt a small wave of relief, stepping out from being Emmett a bit.

"T-thank goodness..." she gave a questioning look, "But what do you wanna talk about if your perfectly fine with him leaving?"

"I think a parting gift is in order," the wolf would smile. "An appropriate sum of money for years served and services rendered."

Emmett stroked his cheek. It was dirty money, most of it, without a doubt, but if it really was just a severence...

"I appreciate the offer," the skunk would reply. "But I don't want anything to do with the Eyes of Onyx. Not even their money."

The wolf would sigh.

"These are my personal funds, not the ones we got from our dirty deeds done dine cheap," he'd mutter. "And besides, all of us have lives outside of the Eyes of Onyx. I'm not here on their behalf."

63 kept out of the conversation, she didn't want to interfere at this point as it was more them. She did stay close however to make sure everything was ok.

"Well, if it isn't on behalf of the group, why meet in person?" Emmett would ask. "Why not just transfer the money over to my account."

The wolf would take a seat. "You see, there's a certain problem regarding the funds I mentioned," he'd mumble. "They were stolen."

Emmett would run his fingers through his hair. "I knew it," he'd growl. "I knew there'd be a catch. Damn it, Onyx."

63 looked confused, "So... what are you wanting from Emmett? His help?" She didn't like the sound of that at all, it could just be some elaborate trap to get Emmett caught as a scapegoat or a way to bump him off.

"How do we know we can trust you?" She had a twinge of fear in her voice as she directly address him, "What reason does Emmett have to trust you?"

"You personally need not have an inclination towards trust, but Emmett and I share some history," Onyx would smile, to which the skunk would just scoff.

"Yeah, we do."

"The only reason I came here personally was because I trust him. And I hope he can find it within himself to make said trust mutual."

By the look on his face, Emmett was still not amuses. While it was true that he did spend considerable time with his boss, he never considered himself to be anything else than an underling, far, far from Onyx's false belief that they were friends.

Hell, the first time they met, Onyx flirted with him.

"What are you wanting?" 63 was confused, "And do you mean that these funds ARE stolen or WERE stolen?"

63 still didn't fully understand what he even wanted Emmett to do. Was he wanting a final job from him? Surely he didn't come all this way to say sorry and drop a load of cash.

"Rico took everything," Onyx would admit. "I was hoping Emmet would be willing to help me track him down and beat the everloving crud out of him."

Emmett sighed. Why him? There were other members of the organisation. He wasn't that good in a fight.

"Okay, but why me?" he'd ask.

"I-I uh," Onyx stuttered. "Have my reasons." He'd turn away, but the two could very likely catch a glimpse of him blushing.

63 found it odd that he was blushing. Was he embarrassed about something? If so, what about?
She didn't care as she pulled Emmett aside to talk to him,

"He seems sincere about this... as much as I hate saying it you may wanna help this last so you can cut connections if you really want too..." she looked at the wolf for a second, "Like i said I really don't want you to be involved but..." she paused for a moment, turning away, "D-do what you feel is right... I'll follow you wherever you go... "

"Fine, I'll help you," Emmett sighed. "Just this once."

Hopefully, this will be the last he sees of Onyx or any of his underlings.

63 felt odd about this, she was going to help them as it was more dangerous for her to be alone, especially since she was still mildly low on energy.

"I'll go prepare myself," in thruth she didn't need to "prepare" but she wanted to try changing her appearance as to better hid herself if she was going. And the wolf, to her knowledge, didn't know what she was and she found it best not show him.

"There's a couple of places Rico frequents," Onyx would inform them. "I already broke into his apartment, but the whole place was empty. Not even the furniture was there."

He had been trying to contact Ninô since early morning, but it seemed the earth itself swallowed 'im. No pager, no phone. Just gone.

If push came to shove, he also had Dema and Timbar standing by, guarding the group's hideout.

63 began experimenting with different looks, finally deciding on making a herself appear to be wearing dark black clothes. Changing her form a bit to allow more movement. She continued to experimenting while she waited on Emmett.

The skunk would come back from his room, wearing his usual when he was going out, but with the addition of a smooth, red, velvety scarf around his neck.

Hastily unpacked, Emmett would quickly uncrumble the still-attached personal note attached.

"My christmas gift..." the wolf's eyes would light up.

"It's the only one I have," Emmett would would grumble. "Getting cold outside."

63 exited her room in her newly made disguise in all black clothing, it appeared to be form fiting... mostly because it was her form making it... nonetheless she joined Emmett and said she was ready to go. Lucky for her the cold didn't bother her.

Emmett would give her a nod and a brief glance, only to them do a double take as she walked by.

Being the gentleman he was, however, he opened the door for her without so much as a comment.

Once they were outside, Onyx couldn't help but chuckle.

Intentionally or not, all three of them were color-matched.

"What's so funny?" Emmett work snap at him.

"N-nothing," the wolf would say sheepishly. "His usual locale is a good five, six streets away. This way."

Onyx would take the lead.

63 remained close to the others as she kept her disguise up and followed the others. Heart was racing... well... metaphorically. She didn't know how she could help and she was afraid of revealing what she was to the wolf.

~I just hope i can hide it from him well enough.~

As they walked, the wolf would routinely check his phone and pager, hoping to get in touch with Nino.

Then, he came to a halt, looking aroind. There were a good two streets before them and the marketplace, one of the places Rico frequented.

Whether it was paranoia or his gut, he felt like they were being followed.

"I think we have company," he'd proclaim.

63 immediately was on alert, looking around for anyone or anything near them. She let her arm slightly liquefie, keeping it out of the wolfs veiw, preparing to protect herself or the others.

A pile of trash rustled in the back alley, prompting Onyx to slowly approach.

Emmett, weapon drawn, would follow closely behind. When given a hand signal to approach from the side, he complied with a nod.

No limbs were sticking out, not even a tail or ears, but there unmistakenly was movement there a moment ago.

63 immediately stared and tried to sense if there was any life energy or scent, trying to see if anyone or anything was there. She moved just ahead of the two guys.

Both a scent and life energy was present. Should she focus more closely on the source, she'd find out it was none other than-

The furred, little creature would rip through the trash bag, which strangely only seemed to contain it and no trash of any kind.

The black cat would meow, licking its paws.

63 let out a sigh of relief, nothing dangerous. She disguised her again as she bent down, hold her hand out,

"Hey there little guy," her voice was soft as she tried to get it to come to her, "Come on, I'm not gonna hurt you."
