Pandemoniun (Pt. 1)

The kitsunes they rescued were already in their houses, save for one that approached her.

He was right; the book said 'but too much makes you sleepy'.

"why haven't they come back from here?" "Heh sleepy. Thale book was right!"

The kitsune stuttered. "t-thank you," and then quickly went inside the house to the others, shutting the door.

"So, what now?"

Willow said your welcome in her head. Then she laid down. "Eat?"

The sky was a bit cloudy. Autumn would likely put a blanket over her the moment she closed her eyes.

"Alright," Legion gets up. "Something new or something tried and tested?"

Willow then took the nap she usually takes. Closing her eyes. "Something new"

She had one of those dreams where a person would find himself in embarrasing situations, like being naked in front of a crowd of people, or in her case, completely shaved.

It probably had some deeper, symbolic meaning, but Lee did not make an appearance in said dream and when she woke up, she found herself covered with a blanket.

Legion took her to the kitchen and took out a few eggs from the fridge. "Ever seen one of these?"

"ugh...I didn't like that dream...Wait..I don't remember having a blanket..."bird poop? Tons of times...They always leave them on the trees"

Sun was shining brightly over the horizon and the wind was pleasant enough.

"No, this isn't bird poop," Legion chuckled. "Those are eggs. Birds lay them down and when they hatch, they're tiny, baby birds."

"what a beautiful day outside" "really? No wonder they only lay those sometimes"

Autumn was the first from the group to wake up, only to find Willow sleeping right in front of his house. "Good morning to you," he said. "Still not content with sleeping inside, are you?"

"But sometimes, they lay eggs without babies inside of them," Legion continued. "And those are food, prepared in various ways."

"hmm I'm not sure" "I never new."

"I don't bite," he teases her. "Do you want me to keep giving you my blanket?"

He broke the eggs into a cup and then poured the yolks on a pan he had warmed up. Afterwards, he sprinkled it with some ham, cheese and a little butter so that it wouldn't stick to the pan.

And a pinch of salt. Wouldn't taste good without it.

"yes I do..It's nice.." "that's alot of stuff your puting on this"

He crosses his arms. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"

"All needed. It's gonna taste great." After a while, he turned off the heat and let it stay in the pan for a few seconds before serving roughly one halve to her on a plate and handing her a fork.

"yes" "how do I eat this?"

Autumn laughed. "You're the worst sometimes, you know that?"

Legion showed her how to hold and use a fork. "It's not science."

"I know I'm the worst" willow grinned. "You're right.but I'd tether to eat it my way" Wendigo put her face on the plate and eat it

"I'm not complaining, though." He grinned back.

Despite him adding salt, it still wasn't salty enough and after tasting his halve, his did add a bit more salt.

But other than that, it was pretty good. The fried eggs, the ham, the cheese...

"what do you want?" "This is the stuff!! " Wendigo eat more until there was nothing on the plate.

Autumn kept his sly smile as he ventured back into the house. "I'm going to ask the higher ups a few questions," he said on the doorframe and turned to her. "Wanna join?"

Legion ate a lot slower, so she had to wait a bit until he spoke. "I'm glad you like it."

"sure. Why not" "you're the best cook ever!"

Autumn left the house and silently locked the door. The rescued kitsune were still sleeping.

"One thing that bugged me was that rude one we met yesterday," he said as he walked. "Councillor or not, she didn't even give us her name before threatening to kill the guys we rescued."

Legion smiled. "Oh, please, I'm not that good."

"let's just hope the other two are not as mean" "well your the only one I know!"

In between the architecture and the general feel of the city, the kitsune inhabiting it feel really out of place.

Autumn guesses the largest building is the most important and he's right; soldiers are guarding it from the outside and very few citizens are actually allowed in.

"That... that makes sense," he chuckled. "Want something to drink, too?"
