Like Lady Luck would have it, the guy in question was walking down the stairs, perked his ears up when he heard his name mentioned and went to investigate.

"Look, if you wanna talk behind my back," he'd say, walking in, not noticing the petrified woman looking a lot like Liela. "At least do it while I'm not here."
