Maggie helped her pick a dress she though was the right balance between class and beauty.

And money, of course. Maggie didn't really have a lot of that.

"Doing bad things for good reasons doesn't make you a better person," Volt knew firsthand what he was talking about. "Speaking from experience."

Ayah just folded her arms, continuing to glare at him.

"I have money" "makes you better then a low life Villain!"

"But this was my idea; I should be the one paying."

In the meantime, Ayah left the room.

"but you do not have much money. " "Grrrr! Look what you did!!!"

"True. People don't get very friendly when they see me."

"I said the truth and she left. Guess I was right."

"well no one has done anything wrong here. Things are different here on Mobius. There are less humans and more animals. Simply put. They are just a tad surprised to see what I can assume if I didn't know you, that a human mated with a snake Mobian. " "Guess you're still a jerk!"

"They think I'm a monster, a freak."

"But stealing is bad. I've never said what I've been doing is right."

"no they don't. I tell you Mobians are different then the humans of your world" "how did I ever become you I'll never know..."

"You know what? That's actually true. Everyone in Mobius has been kind," Maggie continued. "I haven't told Liela yet, but I've relocated here. Originally, she'd need to summon me via a book."

Ayah comes back with Jinsoku. "He convinced you're not worth getting angry at."

"summoned? Ah so you were one of them? Well I wouldn't mind you staying here. " "Good"

"Yeah. Found a travelling mage that was kind enough to tell me that I can sign myself as a champion-for-summon, right after I stopped beating him to death with his staff for attacking me."

Volt growled. "Does Mr. Pretender have to be in this room?"

"I lost my abilities by choice / You've not yet earned yours / Also by choice."

"that doesn't sound very nice" "volt can earn abilities? " Ren started laughing

"I think Liela helped me find me again. Back then, I had to go what I had to go to survive."

Volt leapt at the former ninja and Jinsoku only demonstrated how far he can bend his back, making Volt crash into a wall headfirst.

"Liela is certainly a different kind of person. Though I feel it'll be any moment before that façade breaks. Something is not right with her." Ren laughed harder. "Ha!"

"You think she's playing us? All of us?"

Volt leapt up, scratching his now-bruised nose and tried throw some punches. As expected, the ninja dodged all of them. "Stop. Moving!"

"yes...amd she's doing a good job. I'm worried. The only thing that didn't seem to be a lie was her love for Voltraire. Everything else though..her name. " "There's no. Point."

"I really hope you're wrong."

"My / words / exactly." The assassin went on the offensive, breaking Volt's nose with a single punch, tripping him and then sent him flying across the room with a kick.

"Hmmm... Think what you'd like. But I refuse to play my part in her game" ren stopped laughing and ran to Voltraire worried. "Whoa whoa.."

"I mean, I trust you, but this is a bit too much for me to take in. I'll help you uncover the truth."

Volt was unconscious. "He's fine," Ayah waves her hand. "That was just self-defence."

"thanks. I just need to find a flaw in her perfect lies" "you broke his nose!! How is he supposed to breath normally!!?"

"How do you suppose we do that?"

"By his mouth?" Ayah mumbled and Volt got up.

"Hurts, hurts, hurts!" he shrieked. "Losing blood; my only weakness!"

"I'm..nor sure.." "Calm down! Be a man for once" ren said

"Maybe we'll think of something after the movie."

"But he attacked me," Volt said. "You saw that."

"I could have gone with patience / but you failling over from exhaustion / Too embarrasing."

"We will need to" "well technically you attacked first"

"But first, the dress."

The assassin remained silent.

"Yeah, you better stay quiet."

Downstairs, Liela could hear a knock at the door.
