Atlas of Worlds (Pt. 1)

"oh... you mean formal clothes, right?"

"Just in theory."

"yes where are they?" "You're crazy.."

Maggie led her to the part of clothes shop where they sold more formal clothes. Blouses, short, black skirts, white shirts, things that looked like they belonged on people that spent way too much time just typing on keyboards inside a cubicle.

Literal office rats.

"How about you settle for something we actually have?" Ayah muttered. "There's no need to go all potential space kaboom."

"But if we use electricity, we may bring down the entire city's power grid."

"They'll blame it on the old generators," Ayah continued. "I only got a brief look at one of them, but they're ancient. The only reason they keep them around is because they still work."

"this isn't what I had in mind. I thought you know...the things you were in a ball. " "Hmm that could work. "

"You mean dresses and long skirts then?"

"Okay, that solves one problem," Volt proclaims. "But what about the machine itself? Any idea?"

"Get a large fridge or anything big enough to store one person standing upright."

"yeah something like that" "this is going to be the most ghetto time machine ever."

Maggie took her to the part to the part of the store that sold clothes like that. All she had to choose was the colour.

"Hey, as long as it works," Volt says. "Anyone have a spare industrial fridge lying around?"

"black would look nice." "No"

"But before we do that..." Maggie led her to the part of the store that sold underwear.

"Well, then we'll get the second best thing by building one from wood and add a layer of ruber on both the inside and outside to get rid of conductivity."

"why do I need this?" "That does sound like a good substitute. "

"There are multiple layers of clothes and having this one is pretty important."

"Naturally, I'd say use some from the mansion, but we don't own it," Volt said. "So, we're probably gonna have to go shopping."

"why? It isn't even the one that shows" "oh good. Maybe we won't be in the lava lamp section for an hour" Ren looked at voltriare.

"It's modesty."

"I did not get distracted by a lava lamp for an hour, okay?" Volt screeched at him. "It was nearly an hour and lava lamps are cool."

"oh..Well then I'll take a few.." "no. Holograms are cool. "

Again, the style and colour were different, from simple through extravagant to revealing.

Volt pressed a button on his glove and a holographic lava lamp appeared in his palm. That was probably its only purpose. "Best of both worlds; what do you got?"

"I'll just get a normal one. Any color would do" Ren pressed a button on his metal price and many different Holographic gems appeared.

"I think black would nicely contrast against your colourful gems. Would also go with the dress you wanted."

Volt turned a knob next to the button slightly and the holographic image changed to that of an exotic dancer.

''that does Make sense. Black it is then" ren did the same but the dancer was a Liela in very revealing clothing. "You can't beat me!"

Maggie led her to the changing room. "I'll wait for you outside."

Ayah was a bit upset she wasn't the hologram.

"okay" prima went inside a room and changed clothes. They all fitted her. Ren then made a hologram of ayah dancing too with Liela. "Get to my level volt"

"You look absolutely gorgeous," Maggie told her. "Even better without the dress. I mean, uh, not that the dress would ruin anything."

Volt's hologram became lifesize and was that of Liela, in very revealing clothes. "Way above you, buddy."

Prima blushed. "Of course to would have that"

Maggie blushed even harder. "I need to stop saying words."

Then the hologram actually touched his him without going through. "Hardlight projections, son."

"no no you can talk" "I only use that technology on weapons...not this.." ren was blushing a tad

"I probably shouldn't have said that..."

Volt decided to switch it off. "Finally!" Ayah mumbled. "I wondered how long you'd be going with this."
