Ayah asked the barkeep if he had any spare paper he didn't need. He took out the guestbook and tore an empty page out of it. Made sense, as very few people actually went to the tavern at all.

The hawk then promptly scribbled the thing and recited it, making a portal appear.

"What are you saying? We're going with you," Ayah said, only to notice she meant the Barkeep, who probably spent so much time alone it would drive a person mad.

The tall wall of muscles left the counter and walked over to Lillith, kneeling down so that the two of them could be face to face. He then asked for a hug.

The rest of crew walked through the portal. The house was still in one piece.

Ayah called her boss and put it on speakers so that all three of them could hear it. "No, I don't have any missions for you," the boss said. "Bugger off." She didn't even get a chance to speak before he hung up.

"He's sort of a jerk, but he's doing a lot stuff for us, keeping us safe and all that," Ayah said and tried to calling him again. "Beneath all that, he's got a big heart o' gold."

The boss accepted the call. "No, I still don't have missions for you." And then he hung up again.

"Ayah, for the last time, I don't have any missions for you. If I had any, I would assigned them to you." He then went silent, just like he always did before he hung up.

(Added a brief pause because without it, he would just hung up again)

"LOOK HERE LITTLE CRAP YOU WILL NOT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!!! AYAH IS CURRENTLY BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY ME YA HEAR!!! WHY DONT YOU SAY HI TO YOUR BOSS AYAH" Lillith pit the phone near Ayah and signaled her to make some gaged noises.

She made a pained, gurgled moan. The phone hung up again and just a minute later, a loud motorcycle was heard outside and the boss came in, bursting the doors open, going in guns blazing with his two pistols and trademark sunglasses and dark gray trenchcoat.

Was there any reason they both wore the same colour of clothes?

"You have ten seconds to release her," he said. "And four seconds have just passed."

"Well that got your attention. Freaking kept hanging up on us. " Lillith looked at the guns he had. "Like those stupid things are capable of hurting me." Lillith smiled wondering if he'd take the bait.

Lillith backed up a bit when the bullets hit her but then stopped at started to laugh. "You want to see a magic trick?heh...heh." Lillith walked closer to him. "Blehhh" She sticked her tongue out at him. The bullets were right there on the tongue.

The boss put down his guns and his glasses. "Well, I'll be damned," he said. "It's like in those old martial arts movies. I can't fight that; I love those!"

"Finally someone who likes the trick. Usually when I do that to mobians they faint. Their souls didn't even taste good. but you... You know what's up." Lillith smiled and showed the boss that Ayah was perfectly fine. "Sorry for the whole keeping her hostage thing. I needed your attention."
