Begin Again

Zero smiles seeing her wallet. "Put your money away until we have found a safe place for you and your pet. As for the amount two grand should be enough. A thousand each since im helping two of you."

.. She's shocked from hearing such an amount coming from his mouth. Outside, she was holding herself but she wanted to slap the shit out of him for this lack of common sense in his head. She put her wallet back in her pocket and looked at him with a blank expression.

"Alright."

The jackal keeps his smiles of satisfaction as the thought of completing this job enters his mind. "Miss you wont be disappointed. With my help you and your little friend will soon be safe and sound with your family.  The names Zero by the way. I only tell my name to my clients".

".. Alright."     She replied gently.      "My name is Lolla. Lolla RustSun."
Sometimes she feels the need to say her full name.

Walking back to the road Zero opens up his pack and starts searching for a map. When he finds it the jackal unravels it on a cars trunk as a makeshift table. "Well Miss got any destination in mind"?

She looked at the map for a few minutes before noticing a specific part.. It seemed like she recognized it.       "Here."      She pointed at the map, showing some kind of red sand canyon.
"I know that Kory is not looking at the right direction, so maybe it's best that we go here and let her know we're going somewhere that our father might be. He spends time here to meditate and prepare for battles."

"Very well. It will be a long and hard trip but with me and my supplies you should survive". Zero looks at the map and mentally starts to plot out the journey from their current location. "If we make good time id say its a five day journey".

"As long as we meet with them, it's alright."
She responded, keeping her eyes focused at the location in the map.

Zero puts the map away as he pulls out a spare knife. "Take this as protection. Hopefully you won't need it but with our world lost, people can make bad decisions when desperate".

She gently nodded at him and took the knife, putting Chippy on the back of her neck to protect him from the sharp object.


... And now we cut to Kory The Goat running fast through the cities while also being chased down by random robots. She tried parkoaring from wall to wall and eventually managed to get to the roofs, but was still being chased.

The robots keep the pursuit as some get lost or destroyed in the rush to kill the goat. One grabs her tail as it misses the jump in an attempt to make ger fall with it.

Kory hissed loudly at the robot, grabbing its arm with all her limbs and rotating it until it popped out. When she got out of its arm, she kicked it off and kept on runnin'.

The rest of the robots eventually lose track of her through the citys rooftops as they chase her. They soon turn back and regroup to keep searching for other Mobians.

Soon, she managed to reach a safe space but at what cost?.. She was alone and she now had to focus on where to go. Looking around, all she could see was forests, but she felt like she was getting closer, she just had to keep going through the foliage.

She keeps running past the trees the ruined once lively city slowly gets smaller with each step. Eggman had complete control and his forces searched high and low for any survivors to enslave.

She kept running until she finally found a spot to hide. She hides herself in large bushes to finally take a breather.. 


"... Ah think i'm almost there. Ah HOPE i'm almost there.."
She said to herself within her fast breaths.

She remains hidden in the bushes for a few minutes relaxing from the long chase. The land is rustling with insects as the noises they make is heard all around her. And is that sounds of fighting she hears?

She runs towards the noises, trying to sneak into the commotion.. Behind bushes, she finds the black and red hedgehog we all know and love, Shadow. He's fighting the robots with only his jet boots, guns and skills. Finally, she found the one she was looking for. As Shadow managed to make a lot of them back off, Kory jumps to his side and prepares a stance.

"Sup fatha!! Miss'd me?"
She asked, having a cheerful smile on her face.

Reloading his signature pistols he glances at Kory with a small smile. "We heard your distress call and I spent days searching for you. It seems you found me instead."

"Now that ah found ya i can warn Lolla that yer still around. Ah just hope she didn't leave our safe space.."
She replied, later looking at the robots with a confident smile.

"Ya need help, pops?"

"These robots won't be a challenge. Lets make them pay for destroying our world", he says aiming his guns at the enemies. "Show them their mistakes".

"Atta dad!!"
She shouted, immediately running towards the mob, head butting them to extreme levels just to reach the sweet-sweet sound of machines breaking in the morning.

This goes on for a while unil Shadow shoots the last one. "The doctor will pay for his deeds. Have you seen your sister anywhere"? His voice full of worry

"Ah remember leavin' her in my apartment because of how hidden it is between the other buildin's.. But with the looks of the situation, she probably dipped."
She begins to get worried.

Shadow ponders for a while about this situation. "If shes not in the city and the boats had left days....shes not dead..she can't be.." Shadows usual stern expression is on the verge of breaking at the thought.
