"A bit of a hotfoot huh?!"
Clash remarks as he sees Pyra make this maneuver, his voice seemed to have changed as well.

The spear seemed to have been pushed out of the ground and with a pulse, sends it flying towards Screech.

To deal with Pyra, he pushed his hands outward as a dark red orb quickly surrounded him.

'Huh?! How did my spear move on it's own?' Screech thought as the weapon zoomed towards her.

'Ack! C'mon Quin, focus!' Screech closed her eyes and stood motionless. When the spear was about half a foot away from her face, it disappeared then reappeared a couple seconds later in her hand.

"Yes! I did it! Oh yeah!" Screech said to herself as she did a little victory dance. When she was finished celebrating, she saw Pyra and Clash locked in combat.

"Hmm... I guess I can show them my real power now!"

Screech inhaled a large amount of air, before screaming in the direction of her new friends. But as she screamed, large, ear-bursting shockwaves were sent through the air. Small rocks were sent flying, and grass blew flat against the ground.

Pyra landed on the orb, and kicks off of it backwards, landing on her feet.
She was going to wait on the orb to disappear, when she heard the loud screech and shot s glance at- oh, well.
Guess that's where her name comes from. Go figure.

The embers previously left behind from her feet were blown out like candles on cake, and Pyra dug her heels in the dirt to keep from being launched back. She was a little too heavy for that, but she could still be knocked off balance.

The orb disappears as heavy force would be inflicted in Pyra, as if she were axe kicked in the head."

"Glad I was able to do it in-"

And then Screech's screech hit him, his feet were already planted in the ground, but that certainly stopped him from being able to follow-up.

As Screech concluded her strike, she twirled her spear in a figure eight in front of her. Now that her opponents were slightly stunned, Screech decided that now was the time to get up close and personal.

She dashed towards Pyra, and jumped into the air as if she was going to punch towards her head, but just before landing, she ducked down low and went for a sweep with her tail.

Pyra felt the force on her previously after getting off the shield, the counter shield causing her to effectively receive recoil equal to the force of her kick.
She was apparently too adrenaline filled at the time to feel it, she just knew something was wrong, but when she felt it, it was just before the screech ended, and she was knocked backwards on her ass.
She groans, watching as Screech lands and tries whipping her with the tail.
Pyra rolls out of the way - she really was being ganged up on, she could barely make an attack!

She did have an ace though... she just needed to wait before she could use it.

Clash was about to go for Pyra again, but then thought:
"Nah, that'd be too easy, that girl hasn't gotten any yet anyway!"

So Clash warps up to behind Screech and tries to go for a knockout chop.

Screech was about to follow Pyra and do a follow-up attack, when suddenly she had a sharp ringing in her ears.

'My radar sense. Something dangerous is coming!' Screech thought as she quickly got up to look around. She turned around just in time to see Clash had somehow gotten right behind her.

'Whoah!' Screech rolled backwards just in time to dodge the attack. She stumbled back up to her feet.

"How'd you move so fast? You were over there two seconds ago." Screech asked as she pointed to a patch of grass nearby.

Finally, they backed off!
Pyra felt a little humiliated she was pushed into a corner so quickly... but now that Clash had Screech distracted, she had her chance!

She gets up as quick as she can, runs up to Screech, then jumps sideways with her SOAP shoes now pointed toward the whale. She was in a crouched position in mid-air, but she'd shoot her legs out once close enough.
A mid-air drop kick, no flames required. She's saving up energy~

Clash takes this moment to put the bracelets back on, and then immediately take the anklets off.
The aura changed from menacing and red to a softer, blue aura, at the same time, his eyes had now turned blue as well.

"Of course, sonar would be the only way she could have heard the air cut like that and react so suddenly." Clash thought to himself.

He focuses chaos energy into his arms and claps as the incoming dropkick was approaching, causing a loud and heavy pulse aimed at Screech.

Screech saw the incoming kick and prepared herself, but then her ears started ringing again. She looked towards Clash. A blue energy wave rushed over her. Her sonar went haywire, as her ears started ringing so loud it was painful.

"Ahh!" Screech bent over with her hands on her head. She forgot all about Pyra, and took the full force of the kick.

Pyra hadn't noticed Clash's aura change as she lands the hit on Screech, likely knocking the whale forward a bit as the Phoenix jumped back.
The sound was loud and irritating, but she managed to handle it - birds aren't known for their hearing, and unlike Screech she had no sonar.
It was just a loud and annoying noise.

With Screech staggered and her sonar on the fritz - not that Pyra had even considered the fact her sonar was messed up - Pyra took advantage of the situation and proceeded to spew fire from her beak at Screech.

Clash now felt kinda bad, this might've done more than he initially thought. So he runs over to Screech as fast as he can to try and fire a pulse which was more like an air bullet into Pyra's open beak.

"Stop! That's enough!"

Screech felt the heat from Pyra's fire breath, but then it suddenly stopped. She opened her eyes to see that Clash had abruptly stopped the fight, saying that things probably got a little too out of hand.

Screech looked down across herself to check for any burns. Nothing life threatening. But then she noticed the shoulder of her wetsuit was still on fire.

"Eek!" Screech exclaimed as she patted out the embers.

"I guess I should have said something about my sonar before the fight." Screech said as she stood up. "Too much stimuli makes my head hurt. B-but I'm fine, Clash! No need to worry about bursting my ears or anything."

Pyra was at first surprised, and then a little irritated, as her beak was blocked with an air bullet.
"H- hey, what's the big idea-" she started to caw out with some small embers coming out her mouth like saliva, before she heard Screech explain herself.
Clearly Clash was worried she'd get seriously hurt if the fight continued - though it was suppose to be a spar, it was getting a little too serious.
Pyra felt a pit in her stomach, and after a bit she sighs.
"S- sorry, guys. Uh, think we should call it off for now?"
She grabbed hold of her other wing and looked to the side. She was feeling kinda bad for almost blasting them with her bad temper.

Clash sighs and puts his anklets back on, reverting to how he was before the fight.

"It's fine, I just feel like it's getting a little too much, or it's going to."

Clash thought for a little while before asking

"Do you know anything else we could do?"

Screech looked over at Pyra, then to Clash. She felt somewhat at fault for the slight argument since she didn't explain earlier.

'I wish there was something I could say to lighten the mood.' Screech thought. Clash then asked if they should do something else.

"I-I guess we could maybe, I don't know, explore the ruins maybe?"

Screech really hoped that they would say yes. She didn't want to have her new friends leaving feeling guilty about what happened.

Pyra didn't have any suggestions, and felt somewhat frustrated with her inability to think of anything else.
Gladly, Screech spoke up. While she didn't care much for archaeology, at the same time, she liked adventure and well... what's more adventurous than exploring ancient ruins?
With that, she shrugs and looks to Clash.
"What do you think? It could be fun."

Clash liked the idea, there might even be opportunities to practice here! Oh, but he still had something to reveal.

"Sure! Sounds fun!" "Oh, but you'd probably want to know what the glowy thing was all about and the blue pulse, cuz those technically aren't my powers."

Screech was intrigued by Clash's response.

"Oh, Sure! B-but, what do you mean they aren't 'your' powers?"

Screech was pretty confused by this. There was no one else here, so if it's not Clash's powers, then who's are they?

Pyra, too, was curious, but decided not to be redundant and ask a question Screech already asked.
She crosses her wings and cocks a brow.
"Yours or not, they are pretty neat. Tell the original owner they have cool powers."

Clash smiles at the cool powers remark, making a small grin while he says


"Thanks, but you can ask them yourself! But uh, for you to be able to see them, I'm going to- and I know it sounds weird- pat you two's heads."

Clash, slightly embarrassed that he hasn't found a less embarrassing way to do this, holds up a hand while looking away.

Screech was very confused by this.
"O-kaaay. I guess it couldn't hurt."

'My radar sense isn't responding, so it seems safe to me.'

Screech leaned over close enough for Clash to touch her head.

Pyra blinks, then as if her face couldn't get any more red, she seems to blush a little before leaning in for the pet.
"O- okay then."

She seemed use to this, and was completely fine with it, dropping the cool energy to accept the not-at-all affectionate petting - it was formal, likely something supernatural. So why was she losing her cool?
Jeez...

Clash approaches and pats Screech, but it took a little longer for him to do it to Pyra, as her expression wasn't making this easier on him, but he does do it.

"Your vision will go blurry for a moment, but don't freak out, it's just your eyes readjusting."

And just as he said, their vision would go blurry for a little bit, to reveal two ghosts, an adult red hedgehog who looked like a punk, and a blue, neat-looking hedgehog that seemed younger than Clash.

"The red one's name is Kane and the blue one's Carter."

"It's nice to meet you both!" Carter says with a smile

Though, Kane, was intently staring at Pyra, not saying anything.
