Maverick Does a Thing.

Maverick walked into the training hall, Alpha riding on his back, he was in awe, he had never seen a room this enormous before.  Al tapped his shoulder to get him back into his senses and pointed towards a terminal.  "...I still don't know about this Al, I know you said this would help but...hmm?...*sigh*alright, I'll see if I can do anything." Maverick said as Al was tilting his head.  He walked up to the terminal and noticed he needed his ID, he sighed, he remembered being allowed to travel the building until he had received his ID so he assumed he could still do something...apparently not.  He wasn't angry though, it made sense after all.

Footsteps echoed throughout the plain room as a young blue raccoon stumbled upon Maverick in this part of the training hall. No footsteps came from his friend that floated beside him. 

"Um..." The raccoon stuttered, covering his mouth after having done so. He didn't want to be noticed by either of them, but it was a little too late for that as the ebony skinned wisp flew out to greet the two. He futility extended a hand to stop his friend. 

"Hello!" The wisp called, his necklace inlaid with a bright blue gem jingled as he moved a tentacle hand upward to wave. The dark red scarf came to a rest as he stopped moving. "Are you having trouble with something?"


Was that wisp... speaking? How...? He looked back at his raccoon-y friend, who was getting increasingly more nervous. The young raccoon ran over to the Wisp and grabbed his other hand. The wisp tried to shake him off, giving him a strange look. 

"What? We were here to train, right? So let's help these guys!"

Al's head turned all the way around and Maverick just froze, Al tapped Mav's shoulder to get him to snap out of it.  Maverick turned around, his eye glowing a yellow-green color.  Shaking, he tried to say something but couldn't get the words out, so he just ended up moaning like a zombie.  Al headbutted the back of Mav's head and he said loudly, "H...H-HI?!"  Al rolled his eyes and hopped off of his back and waddled toward the wisp, almost as if he was studying it.

Deux and Aries watched as the hedgecat failed to respond while his Chao guided his actions. Was that a Chao? It looked a little strange, but the pair didn't seem to mind appearances. 

"AH!" Deux jumped when he finally spat out his words, shivering from the scare. He backed up a little. "Uh, S-s-sorry, we... d-didn't me... mean to b-bother you!"

Words came out of his mouth at an erratic pace, first he talked fast, then he stopped, then slowly, and then fast again. It seemed like he wanted to get the interaction over with, judging from his panicked expression. 

"Woah, buddy..." Aries reached out, and was about to put a hand on Deux's shoulder - but stopped short. "It'll be okay, they look like nice people."

Aries looked down at the Chao observing him and waved. He didn't seem thrilled about leaving Deux's side, especially since the raccoon seemed out of sorts. Aries put on the friendliest face he could manage. "Hey there, I'm Aries!"

Maverick stopped shaking, but only a little bit, and Al looked back at him.  Maverick looked down at Al and the two just...stared at each-other...Maverick eventually sighed and made an attempt to ask for help, as one could plainly see, socializing is not his forte so he just sort of mumbled.

"Uh... Okay!" Deux nodded, pretending he was in on the conversation. He was too nervous to point out that he hadn't heard what was said, afraid to make the situation awkward. It didn't take a long time standing around for Aries to become confused, and a little fed up. 

"What's up?" Aries asked, floating away from the Chao and over to the machine. "Were you here to train too?" Aries slipped his ID out of his scarf and inserted it into the machine, causing it to light up. 

Aries moved his tentacle hands across keys and buttons changing the environments and weather conditions. Sunny forest, rainy mountain, snowy valley, cloudy city, and the weirdest part is that the conditions all felt strangely real. Aries settled on dark storm clouds over rocky terrain. He didn't even really look like he knew what he was doing, but he looked confident so it may have been hard to tell. "There we go! You can join us, if you want."

The chain of events happened so fast... Aries sure was one for taking initiative, but maybe he made too many executive decisions too quickly. Deux shrugged sheepishly, hoping it wasn't all too much.

Maverick and Al looked around at the new scenery.  It was definitely a stormy mountain.  Maverick looked around, confused, "W-Wait...we're doing this now?" He said looking down at Al, Al shrugged and walked away, a tad startled for some reason, Maverick looked back at the raccoon and wisp and just now realized they didn't mention his robotic parts, did they not care about it?  Whatever the reason Maverick fiddled his hands, lost as to what to do next.

"Sure, why not?" Aries asked, making his way away from the console and into the virtual battlefield. "Y'know, like a little..." He balled his hands, thrusting them forward in a one-two motion to signify fighting. "Like that."


"Aries!" Deux ran over to his friend, though they showed no signs of committing any violence he was nervous that they'd get going too fast. "We haven't even... uh, introduced ourselves..." He turned back to the cat with drooping ears, shuffling backward slightly. It was true that they had those robotic parts, but Deux figured it wasn't the worst he'd ever seen. At first, it had made him nervous, but Maverick didn't seem like a bad person so he lowered his guard ever so slightly. "I'm... Deux... Nicetomeetyou."

"See, there you go!" Aries patted his friend on the back, waving to Maverick. "I'm Aries, but I said that already so, you know!"

Aries didn't have a care in the world...

Maverick didn't say anything, he simply nodded, Maverick looked back at Al as his eyes started blinking, Maverick let out a small gasp, "R-Right now!?  B..B-but I-I haven't even tried anything like that y-yet!?"  Al's eyes flashed as Mav starred at him, as if to comfort him, Maverick took a deep breath and closed his eyes, and Al stepped back again.

"But..." Aries looked a bit confused at the reaction. "That's what we're here for, right? This is the training hall..."

"Ah... We don't even have to fight each other, really, we could just practice our abilities or something?" Deux suggested, "Maybe on trees, or something?" 

"Yeah, yeah!" Aries pumped a fist in the air. "We don't have to swing real punches at one another, so no one will get hurt!"

Maverick looked back at Al and he shrugged so Maverick walked up to a random tree, took a deep breath and swung with his robot arm...he hardly made a dent.  Al was walking back towards Maverick, seems whatever Al was worried about isn't going to happen.

The pair looked on as Maverick performed his action. Aries seemed unimpressed at first but quickly changed his tune when Deux clapped his hand together just once out of a slight artifical excitement. 

"Yeah, that's the way!" Aries reassured through the awkwardness. "Maybe when we really start honing our skills, we can get a little more dangerous?"

"I'd prefer not to get dangerous..." Deux said shyly, looking at Aries for confirmation on getting started. The wisp motioned to the same tree that Maverick had hit, there wasn't much greenery around to begin with. Deux moved a hand towards one of his gauntlets, materializing a dagger from within that he pulled out from the crimson gem inlaid on each. He did the same with his other hand and was soon holding both of them blade side down. 

"Implying daggers aren't dangerous..." Aries muttered. "Um! Yeah, let's get to it - anyway!"
