The girl hesitated, but ultimately took the apple and started eating it.

"Desmodena, I told you not to play in the r-" The mom arrived and was very surprised at what she saw. Now that she wasn't on a rampage, she looked a lot less like a monster. "Ruins..."

Desmodena closes her eyes and nodded. "Very well; I suppose we shouldn't decline a helping hand. Only thing that grows here are the vines. I had to resort to things I'm not particularly proud of to provide for us..."

"I'll.. uh.. try to understand," Desmodena then handed them something small and shiny. "I don't usually give these out. Don't make me regret that."

It was a small, green scale, but the extreme amount of polishing made it look like some sort of gemstone. It was probably worth a lot.

Liela only got to look at the scale for a second before ren took it and started inspecting it. "This is a scale?!? Man I've never seen such a well polished thing!!"

Ren was the first to walk through the portal. He was asking Voltraire how much it would be worth. Lillith skipped to the portal and kia silently followed muttering words but too low to really know what she said. Liela waved goodbye. "I hope your lives improve."
