Where the Children Play Empty Where the Children Play

Post by Knuxtiger4 Mon Nov 30, 2015 5:29 am

It was a nice autumn day, to be precise it was the start of the weekend!  People were out and about enjoying one of those rare warm days where the nipping cold wasn't an issue to enjoy the outdoors.  It was mid-afternoon and a lot of the citizens of the city seems to have gathered at the local park where the masses gathered.  Scattered about the open grassy land riddled with mini forests there was families with their children, couples, loners, you named it they were hanging around!

Following one of the many brick paths in the park led to the center where a children's playground sat in the center of the park.  The grounds were very clean surprisingly for a city park as there was no graffiti to be found on any of the equipment. Much of the playground was with the typical playground equipment: jungle jims, teeter-totters, slides, swings, sandbox, the works.  Basically was what one would expect at a park for children.  Today there was many kids of various ages, running about and playing pretend or being around their folks who would supervise them.  Everyone seemed to be having a good time for what an onlooker could see walking by and taking a glimpse.

In the surrounding area of the park there seems to be a few children here and there scattered about but most were in small groups and playing games of tag.  Off to the grass at the right side of the playground sat one child that appeared to be by herself.  She seemed to be laying on her back in the grass with a full backpack lazily tossed next to her.  Odd that one of the children was by herself with no parental figure around.  More importantly, she didn't seem to look worried as she had her eyes closed and looked as if she was napping?

Maybe something to investigate?

Hmph. Look at 'em. Kids and parents and guardians all having fun. Disgusts me how they don't bother with the 'Freaks Of Nature'. How quickly they forget about their star heroes're 'Freaks Of Nature' as well. Even me...What the...? There's actually a kid alone? Here? Hey, I don't discriminate. A smaller than average mobian Rottweiler took notice of the lone child napping. Her name was Washon'jour Twiza Kollisher. A realist, but one of those Heartful people with a soft spot for pets and children.

The she-dog walked very quietly next to the little girl with her curiosity peaked. Washon'jour tapped the girl thinking she was awake but bored. "Hey little one, why're you all alone?" She asked with that motherly voice kids find comforting all the time. The dog had a knack for that.

Where the Children Play Empty Re: Where the Children Play

Seemed like the kid was almost lost in what she was doing, clearly from getting close it was obvious she wasn't napping but rather laying back and just enjoying the scene around her.  Upon getting closer it revealed the lone kid was a small tiger, white in color with chocolate colored stripes and looked pretty clean/well taken care of.  She was definitely dressed properly for the weather too, sporting a pair of boots, a light jacket made of fleece and a little scarf that was around her neck.  Under the jacket she wore pinkish short sleeve shirt along with pant in the same color that were tucked into her boots.  The last noticeable feature on the child through was an underbite that caused her lower canines to pop out of her mouth and rest outside of it.

Immediately when the small dog lady tapped the girl, her eyes shot open and leaped up from laying down in a panic.  Glancing up quickly she attempt to register what just brought her out of her state.  It was an adult, and she managed to catch the question the lady was asking her after the initial panic.  The little tigress looked up at the lady and smiled rather innocently.   "My caretaker told me it was a nice day and we should go to the park, so we did!" she grinned.  "They not too far from here but they let me come here to the park and try to make some friends." she spoke before that smile slowly started to turn into a frown. "The other kids seem to ignore me though, I think its the teeth.  Either way...I can have fun alone too!" she smiled again.

The younger tiger wasn't quite the only child that was on their own though. Not too far off on the swing-set sat a lone boy with a warm brown fur and a light shade for their muzzle and hair. Black eye-whites and red eyes with white pupils that seems to just silently observe the young tiger and the canine.

The boy looked like something straight from royalty with how well he was dressed, plus that golden crown on his head with a red gemstone embedded into the metal. Their spaded tail flicking slightly behind him as he just... watched creepily with a frown.

"Little one, if you think that what you just said is even remotely true, you have never had a playmate, let alone a friend." Washon'jour stated as she sat next to the girl. "Now it may sound mean, but I believe that if you lie or suger-coat something, you better have a good reason. I was in your shoes until I was adopted by my foster family. I met three sisters that have been there for me ever since.

"Besides, you don't seem to be ignored now. We're being watched from behind." How the dog knew the duo was being watched from a specific direction was anyones guess. It was like she had a sixth sense or something. "Anyway, on a happier note, do you have any hobbies such as Art, Music, or Writing?"

Where the Children Play Empty Re: Where the Children Play

The little tigress blinked a few times as she watch the lady sit down next to her.  "But..." she paused with a frown.  "I'm not lying though.  Never really had any friends or a playmate, its just been me and my caretaker is all and even if, we've only know each other for a few months time." Her ears flicked a bit also catching the part about the women's family and that little bit on life story.  That frown she had seemed to have gotten a bit worse at those words. Her mouth opened a bit as if she was going to say something but stopped.  With that her ears seemed to sag a little as she looked down a bit.

At least it didn't last long when the women noted they were being watched in which the little felines eye's looked and was now starring right back at the swing-set with the little boy that was starring at her.  Long few second passed as she stared him down and noting several details about him right from the get go.  Quickly she broke that stare off to pay attention back to the lady in front of her who asked her another question.  "Uhhhhh...oh!" she shook her head, "I do like to draw but they look, well silly.  I do like to do other stuff too... like uhhh... cooking!" she smiled.  Most of her attention was back at the lady but every so often would keep her eye out of the lone child on the swings.

"You can't draw? Girl I can't draw even if my life depended on it. But COOKING! You and I are gonna get along just fine! I may even teach you the recipe of the Green-Red Goledavch Hund! I tell ya, best soup in the world!"

Washon'jour then stopped herself before giggling. "Excuse my manners, I am Washon'jour Twiza Kollisher. Expert Cooker and Guardian of my family. Say, umm...I hate to ask this, but are you adopted? You seem to never have had a parental figure in your life." The Rotweiller asked, hoping to not have offended the poor lassie.

The brown child flinched sharply when the words seemed to be about him. How the hell had that thing even spotted him. Perhaps a special snowflake ability. Screw powers blargh. And then the underbite girl looked at him as well. He had not expected that face to go with that body. Oh boy.

And then they kinda just returned to their own babbles.

Oh rude to not include him. His saddened expression practically snapping to enraged in  a blink of an eye. His claws grabbing at the metal of the swing and grabbing a tight hold of it to keep himself quiet. The metal in his grip changing color to a heated red before slowly melting under his grasp. Oh he was furious to say the least. Yet he refused to make a sound. Pissy females.

"I can draw a little bit but I think my caretaker draws better to be honest." she paused and smiled a bit.  "Cooking is fun though, I only know a little bit on it but its nice to do and..." she seemed to have stopped short of her sentence as her nose wiggled a bit as she could smell something unpleasant.  It wasn't a good smell... a smell of molten metal seemed to be around the area and the child begin to try to find the source of it, mostly disregarding the lady's continued chatter.

A little glance over and she quickly found the source which was the male child that was watching them and oh boy he looked absolutely furious.  She also noted he was the source of the smell of the molten metal.  "Uhhhhh..." she attempted to steer focus back, "I'm Vita....and no wasn't adopted...created." as her words to seem to have drifted off as she reached for her book bag.  Ever so slowly she made her way over to the child know it was rather risky consider he was angry and that he had some strange powers that was causing the metal to melt.  Once over by the swings she stopped with a few feet of him and looked at him.

"H-Hi there?" she lifted up her little hand to wave at him with a little smile, hoping to defuse the situation at hand.

Where the Children Play Empty Re: Where the Children Play

"Well, I could - huh?" Washon'jour looked behind her to see the girl heading over to another child who seemed to be angry for some reason. It was the same child she had a bad feeling about. She was reluctant to go near him, but she had one thought that always pushed her forward: If you aren't going to do it, who is?

So, Washon'jour followed the little girl over to the angry child, easily taking note of the burning smell and figuring out it came from the metal chains of the swing, and smiled as she watched to see if the two little ones could get along just fine. Hopefully.

A small scowl on his lips as the tiger had looked at him thanks to the smell the metal was releasing. Smooth moves Skelter. Quickly letting go off the metal chains that had molten solid where he had gripped them.

Honestly he hadn't quite expected her to get up and over at all though. Mostly not followed with the older woman. This was most likely not good.

And then the under bite girl spoke. A twitch of his tail and those eyes sharply on her. Flicking over to the other for just a moment before focusing back on the younger of the two. "Hello." Talk about a not so pleasant voice, even for a child. Ever so raspy and already deepening for his age.

Well it seems to have helped?  She kept up her toothy smile as she observed the other kid look at her and then the older lady and then back to her with silence.  Really Vita was trying to get a read on him and if anything, noticing the few things he did.  He wanted something out of them, if it being seeking some interaction or attention.

Finally when the kid spoke, she made a bit of a face of one that is taken back at something.  She wasn't expecting that type of voice from a kid that looked to be somewhat around her age group as her.  She took a good look around to see if this child was in fact alone before turning back to him.

"Are.... you alone too?" she frowned a bit.  "I don't see anyone that looks like your guardian around here.  You shouldn't be alone either" she added.  "I'm Vita, what is your name?" the little tigress smiled once again at him.  Maybe striking a small casual conversation might be a good thing, after all the little boy didn't seem dangerous to her.

"And I'm Washon'jour, but most call me Wags for obvious reasons. If you want, we could happily involve you in activities. It may not seem like it, but I'm still quite energetic." The she-dog stated with a smile. She had a soft spot for pets and little ones, that much was obvious. She walked over to the swing next to the strange child and sat down. Hey, Washon'jour doesn't discriminate.
