Mansion of Terror

Post by Caliburn on Sun Nov 08, 2015 10:09 pm

A haunted mansion. Wow, spooky. A thing I've done before. But it... died. My fault. Entirely. Like ugh. I let it die, and I'm sad about it. Because hey, it could've gone pretty far. But, nevermind that~! I'm here to try and see if people would enjoy doing it!

Basically, the story is, a mansion is told to just... appear. Out of nowhere. In a dark secluded forest area. Constantly moving apparently as well. And whoever enters the mansion... has never came back.

This leads to fear. Who dares go near the mansion?

Well, the bold! The brave! And the people that want to be paid a load of money, because hey, there's a lunatic willing to pay lots of money for someone to go in there and find out what's REALLY going on deep inside.

More would be revealed as the plot went on, (I mean I can't explain everything can I? That'd ruin the fun. :3) and the RP would go on for... a while I'd say.

It could be fun. So, anyone interested? Post below. c:

Thiiis is relevant to my interests. Definitely the sort of thing I could see myself jumping in on. Big spooky mansions just have that draw to me.

I'm interested in this sort of thing. Besides, I would like to see how my characters, Travis McGable and Sammie the Wolf, do together for the first time.

I think this is a good place to cap the joins, actually! I may allow one more person to slip on in, but I see no reason to delay starting the topic. I'll be thinking things up meanwhile anyway, so please standby! The roleplay itself will be up soon-ish! c:

Out of curiosity, would I be alright to use a ghost character within this? Thought it might a neat idea to have Chris enter just like; 'Hey, I'm a ghost, I know about haunting, you can't scare me!' And then obviously when actual horror things occur, there may be regrets.
Still, I'd understand if you'd rather not have a ghost within the setting outside of whatever horrors you wish to control yourself. In which case, can use someone else.

There are a few good horror films out there, and since reasons of sorts, I'll hop on this bandwagon

Aaand that's all the spots filled. I'll probably get a starter up by the end of the day, but don't wait for it because I'm a bit braindead right now. @_@;;

Juuust to reiterate my questioning here, since I can't really get started myself without getting an answer to it. XP

I'm not sure. If your character could phase through walls/see what was going on with anything supernatural, it wouldn't work. Although, the latter is the only one that would ruin everything. Phasing through walls can simply be... fixed, should I say? Razz

It's down to your judgement in the end though.

The character caaan go through walls. As for 'see the supernatural'... well, if it's invisible it's invisible, can't see it. If it's more on like... 'a spiritual layer of reality only invisible to ghosts', Chris can prooobably see it. In which case I'll go with someone else.

Just a note that I won't be able to join this RP until very late Thurs-Friday.
Sorry for the wait on my part!

So uh, is there a posting order? Or is it 'everyone posts at least once until you post'?

Oops, sorry, I'm fine with either, really. Though a posting order is probably preferred; it gives a chance for everyone to be on the same page.

Sorry for delays any way guys, I'm kind of all over the place. ._.;

Well, if we want to set an order, would it be easiest then for Meph to go next, then to maintain that order? So it'd be;
-Meph
-Dreg
-Spek
-Terror
-Burn
?
