An Evening At Ease

Adrian says while looking down a bit. "Well, that's what I want to find out. In my hometown, there was a bandit attack and my brother and I went around the village to stop it. When the chaos finally settled, I went to look around the village for him for hours, and he was nowhere to be found. That's why I'm on a quest to find him now."

" I see.." She walks up to him and pats his back." Don't worry you'll find him." She gives him a gentle smile then looked back at the oven."Oh I think its finally done."

Adrian looks up at her and smiles. "Thank you." He then looks at the pie in the oven. "Finally. I can't wait to see how it taste." He said with anxiousness.

She picks up the oven mitts and puts them on Then opens up the oven slowly. The Smell from the baked pie couldn't smell any better then it did now that it was finally complete. "This smell...it's so...nice~."

He was overwhelmed by the smell of the now finished pie. "Yeah...it is." He said while he took a sniff in the aroma from the pie.

She reached in  out the oven and pulled out the pie carefully. As she placed it on the counter she took her mitts off and she went to close the oven. She swung towards the area too quickly and burned the back of her hand then quickly closed the oven door. "Oww!!" She cried while rubbing the back of her hand quickly. "I should've left the mitts on.." She says as tears started to stream down her eyes.

Adrian heard a sudden cry in pain from Mido then walked up to her with a look of concern. "Hey what happened? Are you okay?" He said while looking at her.

She nods slowly while clutching on to her hand tightly. She Didn't want him to see her crying so she kept her head down and sobbed quietly.

"Here...let me see." He went to see where she hurt herself. He then noticed a small burn mark on her hand.  "Do you need me to get you some ice to cool the burn?"

She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "Y-yes please." She said with a frown. "I'm sorry..."

Adrian then quickly went over to grab a small bag off of the counter and went towards the freezer to grab some ice to put in the bag and walked over to Midokou afterwards to give her the ice bag. "Here you go." He said.

"Thank you.." She said looking down. She then placed it on her hand and cringed holding back more tears when she placed it on her hand. "That stings alot.." She said still trying to hold back her tears.

Adrian looks towards her with an expression of concern on his face. Handing her the bag of ice, he then proceeds to ask, "Are you going to be alright? Do you need anything else?"

"I'll...I'll be fine don't worry about me." She says trying smile to help further shows she alright. "Could you put  the pie by the window for me?" She asked while calming her self down.

"Ok I can do that." He said with a smile as he got up and grabbed the pie then took it by the window and sat it down.

She stands up with the ice pack on her hand and walks towards him. She smells the air and then says "Well..I guess no pain no gain." Then does a small laugh.

He gave out a small chuckle and looks towards her with a smile. "That's what they say, I guess." He said.

She wiped away her tears and walked to her first aid kit. As she approached it, she told Adrian."We can start eatign the pie i na few minutes, it should be cooled off by then, until then, make yourself at home. Sorry if this is a little late to say this.." She says wile wrapping her hand.

He look towards Midokou and smiled. "It's alright. And thank you." He says as he makes his way out of the kitchen to the living room to sit down on the couch.

As she finishes wrapping her hand, she closes the kit and walk over to the pie. "Hmm...it should be cooled off in a few mins." She says then walks towards the living room and sees Adrian sitting there. "Umm..may i sit next to you?" She asks quietly.

"Sure. I don't mind at all." Adrian says, looking towards her with a smile.

She walks towards the couch and sits down a sofa seating away from him. "Well it should be cooled off in a few mins." She says while picking up a book.

Adrian smiled. "Okay. That's good to know." He said a hint of anxiousness in his voice.

She starts reading her book for a little then glances over at him."Yo could watch tv if you want." She says as she puts her  eyes back to her book.

Adrian glances over to her. "Oh I'm fine, thanks." He said as he begins to lift his head up at the ceiling with is eyes closed.
