An Evening At Ease

Adrian nodded and then proceeded to read off the ingredients. "Ok let's see... we will need 2 cups of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2/3 cup shortening chilled, 6 tablespoons of cold water..." He went on as he read the ingredients in the book.

Mido did exactly what he said a second after he said it. She ran over to the fridge to get the water out and nearly tripped but regain her balance with out spilling anything. She then walked back to the bug bowl and began to pour the water in."Okay what's next." She asked.

Adrian looked back into the book and listed out a couple more ingredients. "Next we need a 1/2 cup of sugar, 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, and lastly, two full cups of purry berry."

She poured in the sugar into the bowl and began to stir in the ingredients slowly. After putting the cornstarch in she began to chop up the purry berries into 1/4 of there size then put it in a cup to average it. When it was all averaged out, she poured it into the bowl which started to already smell delicious. She sniffed the air slowly while stirring. "Mmmm..~" She hummed.

Adrian became pleased by the scent of the air as she was stirring the ingredients. He sniffed the air, satisfied with the aroma of the purry berries in the kitchen. "That is a wonderful scent. I can't wait to see how the pie turns out." Adrian said with a bit of excitement in his voice.

Mido smiled at him then at the  purple pinkish mixture as she stirred. "Hehe..me too it smells so good...wanna taste  it?" She offered to him. She knew she was gonna try a little.

Adrian smiled at Midokou. "Yes please." He exclaimed with excitement when she offered him a taste of the mixture.

She picked up a tiny spoon and scooped in a small amount of the the bater. She then hand the spoon over to him. She used her finger to wipe off some of the side of the bowl were its pilled of to and tasted it."Oh my goodness...this is so nice..so..." She said with the most peaceful voice.

As he received the spoon full of the small scoop of batter, he then proceeded to taste it. It was that one small little taste that sent him the batter that made his tastebuds dance. "This...is so...magnificent!" He said in a soothing baritone voice.

She nodded her head in agreement then continued to stir the batter happily then looked back at the bowl while stiring and asked."Um Adrian? H-How much longer do I need to stir it for?" She wondered anxious to do the finishing touches already.

Adrian then looked back at the cookbook to find the answer to her questions. "Hmm let's see..." He skims the page looking for how long it said to stir it. "Ahh here...it says to stir it for 5 to 8 minutes." He said while looking at the mixture.

While stirring she say." Umm..I haven't been paying attention to how long I been stirring this..My arm is sorta getting tired though" She says looking back at him.

"..If your arm is tired, then I would say that it's been about five to eight minutes." He said looking back up at her.

"Okay." she stops stirring. "Whew...time to pour it in the pan." She slowly and carefully pours in  the batter wish seems to shine and sparkle a little and she was pouring it."it's like a mini rainbow waterfall or something."

Adrian looks on at the batter as its being poured into the pan. "I can't wait to see the result of the pie. I bet it'll taste yummy." He said with a bit of anxiousness.

She pour as much of it as she could into the pan then asked."Okay now whats next~?" She smiled at him.

He then looks back into the cookbook. "Let's see...next it says to bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes." He said.

"Oh sweet we don't have to preheat it!" She exclaimed. "I mean..alright~." You could still her the excitement in her voice. She opened the oven door and carefully placed the soon to-be-pie in the oven. She turned the dial enough times for the time and heat and walked a way from the oven. She dusts her hands off then askes. "Well....now what? " She says while tilting her head.

Adrian closes the book and sets in on the counter. He then start to scratch his head a little bit while thinking of what they could do to pass the time while the pie was baking. "Hmmm...I'm not sure what we could do other than to just sit and wait." He says looking towards her.

Mido looking a bit upset and crosses her arms then says. "Oh there has to be something we can do. How about in the meanwhile we start to clean up at least?" She suggests.

"Ok that sounds fine." Adrian said while looking around the kitchen at the mess they've made while making the purry berry pie. "So...where do we start?"

"Put the utensils in the sink and ill eat i mean start to clean the bowl." She said while blushing.

"Heheheh you were planning to eat the batter out of the bowl and not share, weren't you?" Adrian said with a slight chuckle and smiled at her.

"Oh umm..no i was gonna share it's just...ooo this batter is evil" She says looking at it rubbing her head. SHe starts blushing and looks away handing him the bowl." Here. You can have the res..."

"I'm just playing with you. You can go ahead and have it." Adrian said as he then took the utensils and place them into the sing.
