The Curse of Beast

"Hm.....he seemed pretty confident when he told us the challenge, perhaps he might have messed up somewhere in covering his tracks..." The large flower growing on one of the buildings opened up again, the eye in its core watching them again.

From a disclosed location than where they were, Nameless was watching them from a small orb, chuckling to himself. "Ooooh such a shame, it seems like they are on a wild goose chase....perhaps I should...'help'" He snapped his fingers in an echo that carried over to their location. A vine from under the buildings began to move as if it had a mind of their own.

Deandre's ear twitched from a faint sound. "You heard that?"

Emily hissed, looking around. "Something not friendly, that's for sure." She glance around at the old buildings and grown-over vines... This place didn't feel like a place some forest guardian would live... She knew that.

"Should we be ready to run or fight?" He said scratching his head. (Short cause I'm tired.)

Deandre looked at hyper, "Probably...but we probably can't do much. Because...well.....you know."The vines began to twist into each other underground, turning into a rather large mass, before it arose from the ground resembling a tentacle. The large organic structure, reared back and swung at emily in full force.

Emily saw this, her eyes widen. "Run!" rolled out of the way as fast as she could. (Just tired for the time being)

He did as she said and ran away from the thing.

As the large organic swung at Emily, the tentacle made up of vines and roots missed her because of the fact she rolled away before the hit could possibly be struck. It stayed where it was for a few moments more before retreating under the ground once more. Deandre backed up from where the....thing, burrowed back underground. "....Do you think it left?" he asked optimistically

Emily gotten up. "No, I believe it haven't left." (sorry for the one liner)

"If it does, we better get prepared for it" He said standing up looking at the two of them.

Subtle rumblings could be heard from the ground bellow, in this situation most would not think anything of it. But given the situation it seems that every action counts. The rumblings began to settle almost to that of a halt. Soon later giant thorns arose from the ground at the organic mass's possible location. One of them grazed Deandre's soldier. "UNH!" he grunted in surprise and slight pain. The thorns began sprouting up at more of a rapid succession.

Emily try to roll away but was cut along her back as she barely gotten out of the way. "O-ow...." She whimper as she try to get up in bad. (Unable to post anything else)

He jumps away, having a minor cut on his squirrel hand. He got over the cut with it being so small, shook it a bit and ran over to Emily. "You alright?" He asked looking a little worried. He then jolted his head to Deandre's direction. "You ok over there?" He asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said, trying to ignore the pain that was in his shoulder. "Howabout you guys, are you alright?"

Emily looks to them, through in pain. "Does it look like - Oww... That I'm okay!?"

He runs over to Emily. "You definitely need some help" He said, "Do you want to stand or would that just hurt you more?"
