Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild

Post by spark tb Wed Apr 19, 2017 12:09 am

Esme groaned lightly as the pair outside seemed to ignore her statement, rolling her eyes in mild annoyance at the delays that they were forcing upon this magical moment. Like... seriously, she could understand wantin' to talk to eachother and hang out and get phone numbers and probably make out in the dark or somethin', but leave it until *after* the cryptic deer child person got to answer your supposed questions.

And then Raito made a comment about her parents.

Esme blinked, turning her bright red eyes to fix upon the fox. For a moment, her face was perfectly neutral, her eyes deep in thoughts. Then, like a sudden crack through ice, her mouth shifted into a wide, wide grin that seemed to show just.. a bit too many teeth. It was a smile that was terrible and secretive, her eyes glittering with malice and mystery. 'Why on Mobius would you assume I had parents~?' she asked, her voice sounding more akin to shattering glass than the joyful tones she'd displayed earlier. Behind her, her shadow twisted unnaturally in the lights in the tent, as if barely containing its own form...

She allowed her terrible gaze to linger on the winter fox for a moment, before suddenly snapping her head to face Ira. Her grin dropped to a lazy smirk, her eyes rolling in annoyance 'And doesn't it? Apparently it hurts some peoples feelin's here... well, if you ask them about feelin's for others, at least~'

Wolf glances at Venus after her last comment.

"I get the feeling that she would do most of the talking regardless of who she is with." he says, "She always has something to say."

Once they reach the tent, he hesitates to enter, waiting for Venus to go in before following.

((OOT Reply to Spark TB))

The atmosphere of the tent suddenly became VERY different as the two girls resumed their bickering. Shadows slithered and crept along the tent in unnatural form as the hyena gave her own retort to the white fox. From his position against the wall, Storm couldn't tell what sort of face she was giving, but the shiver of primal fear it sent through him, followed by the sudden surge of childlike amusement drowned out the still screaming hunger in his gut. The fox fought the urge to start clapping like a big dumb seal right there at the idea that maybe the hocus-pocus of the fortune teller wasn't the real show here.

While the section of the tent that they currently had access to was fairly small, the way the crates had been lined up into two rows should have allowed for the group to each have a seat one way or another. Granted, they may all be closer together than some might have preferred... The ceiling of the tent was also angled higher towards the curtain separating this half from the other, but there would be just enough room for the hummingbird to lift off the ground, but not get high enough to be totally clear of anyone's head. The wind his wings stirred up also shifted the curtain back and forth, though not quite enough for anyone to look past it.

"Mm, you've got that right," Venus agreed with Wolf's statement.

The Clydesdale ducked her head down a bit as she stepped into the tent. She glanced up at Zephyros as the breeze he was summoning blew her hair back from around her shoulders. She also admittedly arrived just as Esme turned an unnerving grin towards Raito. The sight of that and the shadows in the tent suddenly shifting made Venus pause, some of the fur on the back of her neck starting to stand up. It wasn't until a moment or two after the hyena replied to the liger that Venus actually stepped aside to let Wolf follow her into the tent. She glanced back at him, offering something of an apologetic smile to him for briefly being in his way. Her eyes wandered over the others here as well, though. There was indeed quite a gathering in here. What could the strange goat child possibly have to show such a group?

After Ira had directed a question to the fawn, there were several moments of silence as other conversations continued. Just after the red fox had added in his own commentary, however, the child's voice called from the other side of the curtain.

"She is here! Sit down and prepare your questions!"

Venus looked that way, her head tilted curiously. She gave a little shrug to Wolf before moving forward to the second row of crates set out on the ground. She stepped in between the two rows, leaving enough room on her right for Wolf to take a seat on the last one of the row that was closest to the exit. Before sitting down, however, she made sure to dust off the crate with a couple of passing swishes of her tail. She then used one paw to keep her dress tucked under her backside and proceeded to sit down on the wooden box.

Even though others in the tent were somewhat frightened, Raito leaned forward, resting her elbow on her knee, and her head on top of her hand. She snorted at Esme's remark, looking around at these shadows that bent in unnatural ways. "Aw, the kid's acting all edgy! Look, I've met all kinds of people, even a pyrokinetic, so your fancy shmancy shadow tricks won't fool me."

Raito leaned back, propping herself up with her hands, looking over at the young fawn as she announced the 'arrival' of her friend. This caused the young arctic fox to raise her eyebrow "prepare your questions? I thought this girl was some sort of fortune teller?" She asked, to noone in particular.

The voice from behind the curtains grabbed the fox's attention. Finally! Time to get down to his important business. As instructed, he sat down on one of the wooden boxes that passed for furniture in this setup and... hoped that he could find a very discrete and functional way to find the answer to his dumb, but important question.

((I had nothing major to contribute to the situation. Sorry for the short, late post.))

The horse girl and the wolf finally made their way inside the tent, the canine being somewhat of a gentleman by allowing her to enter first.

Just as Zephyr turned around to make sure for definite that everyone could fit inside, albeit snugly, he witnessed a rather creepy snide grin appear on the pink hyenas face when Raito mentioned her parents. Clearly something not so pleasant had gone on in the past for her face to twist in such a way to ruffle even his feathers with her expression, not to mention the fact that the shadows around her seemed to have a sudden mind of their own...or was that just his eyes playing tricks on him?

Mental shivering aside, he hovered in place and beat his wings as calmly as possible to not cause as much of a stir up with the wind. He always ended up doing that when he got too excited, and was forever getting into trouble about it when he blew some if his colleagues off their feet by accident.

It was time. The small fawn had called them to take a seat and prepare.

Zephyros waited until everyone else had chosen where to sit before he silently plopped down on the last remaining seat available and drummed on his knees enthusiastically.

"Finally, things are rollin' on!"

'Perhaps they can, yeah..' Ira thought in silence as he watched the two girls continue their fight. He then started to notice the unnatural flow of the shadows of the hyena girl. It was rather creepy looking and he wasn't sure how much this girl was to be trusted. He'd just stay quiet for the rest of the sitting in the tent. It wouldn't be long anymore anyways, right?

Since the girl called out to the rest to prepare their questions Ira had assumed that her friend would join the group and do her magic voodoo thingamadoohicker very soonly. Ira sat down next to the equine girl on one of the crates opposite to the entrance for he had noticed the girl had left the other one next to her free for her wolf friend to join her. "Lovely place here, innit?" He said and tapped the crates before leaning down to rest his head in his hands, supported by his knees. He looked sideways to make eye contact with the horse and wolf next to him. "What do you think is going to happen?"

(ack, sorry. Between family issues and heading back to uni, I kinda lost track of who's posting and when ><'')

You know, based on how she'd been acting so far, you'd almost expect Esme to be baited back into another fight with Raito - or, perhaps, simply continue the one they were currently having - And... well, you'd be kinda right. Indeed, the hyena gave another sharp, smug smirk as she proceeded to fold her arms across her chest, and said simply 'Dear, trust me. You've never fuckin' met someone like me~'

Oh, then she turned to face Storm, her smile softening slightly as she gave him a wink, and a 'Well, I'm glad someone appreciates the show.' She opened her mouth as if to continue, but the return of the fawn caught her attention. After a moments hesitation, she dropped suddenly as her legs folded beneath her. In the process, her smirk faded slightly to a look of neautrality as she waited to see what was about to happen

Wolf follows Venus into the tent, letting the flap drop into place behind him. He glances around at the assorted individuals in there. A pair of foxes, a tiger, a hyena, a bird, then Venus and himself. One of the foxes and the hyena seemed to be arguing with one another.

*Oh good... I'll have to be sure to keep my distance from them.* he thinks to himself.

The other fox and the bird seemed excited for things to move on. Wolf didn't share in their excitement though. He still didn't have any questions he wanted answered.

After Venus sat down, Wolf considered taking a seat on the crate beside her. Instead he decided to remain standing beside it and set his bag on the floor just in front of his feet. If this seemed like it would take a while, he might change his mind and sit though. For now, he didn't really want to.

Then at this point, the tiger sat beside Venus and turned his attention towards her and Wolf. Wolf had no response to offer to his question about what might happen now. Beyond the obvious that they would wait and then get to ask questions, he really didn't know what was to be expected.

While many of the others in the tent were at least a little concerned with Esme's display, the arctic fox elected to conceal and not feel, replying calmly and boredly to the hyena. Venus wondered if she was any fun at parties. She did briefly consider piping in that pyrokinesis was often considered one of the most common forms of superpowers, but the liger dressed in dark clothing sat down beside her before she could say anything and offered his own commentary. She smiled in return.

"Honestly, I've got no idea. I figure something with a crystal ball, some fancy light tricks. Not knowing what to expect is part of what makes it so interesting, really," she admitted, "Never know when you might run into someone with real powers."

She did glance over, noting Wolf didn't choose to sit down in the space she'd left beside her. Understandable, maybe, seeing as they were still pretty much strangers to each other.

As the group all chose to sit or stand, there were no further responses from the goat child that had lured them in here. But the feeling of being watched was still there. Someone had to be on the other side of that curtain, but there was no shadow to indicate such. Only something of a... presence.

Regardless, the group was left in silence for a good half a minute. If they made any commentary, it was ignored by their 'host'. But finally, something more than that rather uncomfortable presence appeared. It started when the curtain began to shift back and forth, as though caressed by a breeze from outside. This was not the case as they'd feel no breeze. The movement continued, becoming more active. Those sitting (or standing) on the far edges of the group or on the floor may have noted something rather significant as well...

There was no one at all behind the curtain!

Before anyone could potentially finish voicing any comments or concerns over this revelation, however, there was a deep, heavy pulse from the other half of the tent. Although soundless, it was the sort of thing one would feel in their ears and chest. It made the cloth walls of the tent billow out sharply for a couple of moments, but more importantly, was its impact with every one of the persons inside the tent. Powerful magic slammed into each body, coursing a harsh, physically-altering spell into them. Perhaps fortunately for most of them, they'd not feel much beyond the initial pressure of the impact before being forced into unconsciousness.

The seven of them would all be left alone as their bodies transformed, adjusting to better suit the needs of the one who had changed them. The tent went silent and, with no one else in the area at the time, none came to check on them. It would likely be somewhere between five or ten minutes before the first of the group might begin to stir again and discover what had been done to them. It may take some time to re-emerge from the daze and disorientation of the magic's effects, however...

((So! Thank you guys for answering my little poll! I'm using your answers to allow everyone to wake up little by little. If your character will start to wake in that first 5-10 minutes, feel free to post such! What these first risers may do just might rouse some of the others earlier than expected. If you don't feel your character is going to wake yet, with or without what another character nearby does, you're welcome to either skip your turn this round or only post, I dunno, them getting knocked tf out. Or you can save the knockout and the waking to do as one big post when the time rolls around.
When my next post comes around, I'll advance the time to the 15-minute mark, allowing for little skips on the part of those who wake first and then more characters to wake. I'll continue to increase it by a few minutes each round until we have everyone up again! Granted, if you'd like me to take anything particular to attention for the next couple rounds of posting, let me know and we'll plan together to make it work!))

The group was left in silence for what seemed like the longest time, prompting the fox to start drumming her fingers on her knee. While she may outwardly had looked bored, the sheer quietness of the tent unsettled her to say the least.

She opened her mouth to say something, before the tent appeared to billow, as though the wind has started pick up. What gave away that this wind was not entirely natural, was that the curtain covering one side of the room was also blowing, occasionally showing what was behind it.

"Hey, hold on, wasn't the-?" Before she could finish, a wave of some form energy seemed to fill the room, hitting her square in the chest. This initial impact sent her off of the wooden crate and onto the ground. Mere seconds afterwards, the poor arctic fox passed out.

Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild

Post by Storm Wave Thu May 04, 2017 8:29 pm

Storm's ear flicked. Something else suddenly felt off about the tent, even after the hyena's little show. The fabric walls billowed and surged, seeming to close in around the group. Was this part of the experience? The grand entrance of their mysterious soothsayer? The fox dug his fingers into the crate beneath his seat in anticipation, expecting a poof of smoke and the appearance of someone wrapped in rags and wearing a dastaar with some sort of amulet wrapped within. Instead, there was a sudden, choking pressure, before everything went white.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An eternity had passed before the fox's vision started to fade back in. His body ached, his head was pounding, and his stomach continued to voice its famished complaints. It was dark, and something was covering him. Had the tent collapsed? He attempted to stand, but there was something incredibly unnatural about the process. He tried to rub the blur from his eyes, but his arms suddenly didn't reach like they used to. Nevermind that, he couldn't feel his thumbs any more! In fact, had his nose always been that far in front of his eyes? What was going on?! The fox struggled again, trying his best to break free from his confines. He struggled clumsilly, none of his previous motor functions seeming to match with his movements as he eventually crawled out and into... wait, the tent? It looked so big now. If it wasn't the tent that had fallen, then what was it? He tried to stand up to get a better look, only to flop back onto his stomach. Ooooohhhhh... yes, the bit of pain followed reminded him that he was STILL hungry. But more important, he quickly turned to his legs, still wrapped in whatever had fallen on him, only to realize it was his own clothing. Granted, they were now far too big for him. He sniffed at them. Wait, why did he sniff at them? In fact, it seemed like one of his predominant impulses was to sniff at things.
The fox's mind whirled for a moment, trying to piece together the clues as he crawled out from his clothing. Another attempt to stand was met with failure as he flopped back down.
OKAY! Time to figure this out. I'm small. I can't feel my thumbs. I can't walk. Everything smells. I can see my own nose... for a moment, Storm glimpsed down at his own hands. They were shorter, stubbier, and more clawed than he remembered, and distinctly lacked any opposable digits. Oh, that's why I can't feel my thumbs. I don't have them anymore. Things were starting to add up. Storm shook, his whole body seeming to twist with him as he rose up onto all fours. Normally it would have surprised him how natural that felt, but things were starting to add up quickly. There was one more test! He sat his butt down, lowered his head to one side, and began scratching his ear... with his foot. It was surprisingly easy. Realization suddenly dawned on him.
"My god! I'm... ADORABLE!"
Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild
The group inside the tent had fallen silent as soon as a wind picked up. The dark blue avian hoped nobody thought it was him causing it, bit after noticing nobody looked in his direction, he wiped an imaginary browful of sweat away with his hand. The flaps that made the doorway flapped angrily as the wind steadily grew stronger and more unnatural.
A very unusual feeling coursed throughout Zephyros' body. The same kind he would get when he knew someone had been lieing about something quite big or important.
Something was very wrong.
All of a sudden, a horrible pressure began to hit into his chest at an incredible rate, almost taking the wind from his lungs entirely. Before he knew it, he couldn't hold it together and his world slowly succumbed to darkness...
--------------------
Some time later, who really knew to be honest, Zephyros reawoke with a start. His mind was reeling.
'What in tarnation just happened?' He thought as he forced his unnaturally heavy eyes open to the world. Only for it to be rather dark. Some form of material was covering him, maybe a blanket? Had he been taken to a hospital? So he tried to push it off of him, but ended up wriggling out of it to the best of his groggy abilities when that aptly failed.
Immediately he noticed something was very strange.
First of all, the tent they were in had grown to an enormous size siddenly, and all he could see when he looked directly down was this really long yellowish stick right in front of his face.
Everything was feeling pretty darn weird right now.
He wanted this weird will stick to get away, so he lifted his hand to remove it, only to find he couldn't grab the thing in the way. It took him a few moments to grasp the situation before he began to freak out internally as he flailed his "arms" around in a crazy fashion.
'Oh Chaos, what the hell! Who's the one who took away mah hands?! Ah need 'em to, ya know, do stuff!'
He looked over himself a little more to see that his vision was a little clearer now. Why was he so tiny? Where were his hands? Why were his wings his ha-
Then it hit him. Like a thousand bricks falling on top of him, it hit hard. His tail was shorter but still pretty much the same, and he still had his precious spatules, but what was up with his feet?! And there was his clothes laying all around him.
He proceeded to try and get over to a puddle that he was certain was just outside the tent to get some form of a reflection, but found he could not just move his legs like before. It did not help matters that he was actually now standing inside one of the shoes he was just wearing not too longs ago.
"Aww come on! This is just embarrassing! I ain't hoppin' like a fairy for nobody!"
Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild
When the wolf didn't reply to his question, a slight frown formed on Ira's face and he raised one of his eyebrows. However, his attention quickly shifted back to the equine next to him. "I suppose that's very true." A smirk formed on his face as he thought about what the girl had said about running into someone with real powers. If only she had known, heh.
Just as he finished talking, the atmosphere in the tent drastically changed. Something.. ominous started happening behind the curtain that devided the tent in half. It was as if there was a strong breeze blowing through the tent. The hairs in the liger's neck raised slightly, indicating he was not comfortable with the sudden change. He quickly looked behind him to see if he could see any sign of someone entering the tent or moving the curtain, but he could find nothing, nothing but that.. odd presence.
Then, all of a sudden, without any other indication, a sort of shock wave made its way through the room, hitting each and every one of the people inside the tent. It took Ira a second to gather his thoughts, it felt like someone had just shot him but he was wearing a bullet proof vest. One of those shocks that left a big impulse but no further damage to the body. Just after he realised what had happened, he blacked out. Everything went silent and his vision became blurry before fully disappearing.
___________________
It took him some time to wake up again. No one really knew how much exactly but it didn't matter all that much either. The facts were, he passed out and he now felt strange. Very strange. The feline opened his eyes, shook his head and stretched. It felt weird. He also noticed his feet were bent in an unnatural way, almost as if they were forced into something and it wouldn't let go.
When Ira tried to stand up, he heard the ripping sound of fabric before falling down to the ground. His leather jacket and t-shirt ripped around his body because of the sudden change of shape of his body. At this moment he still hadn't figured out what had happened to him. In a smooth turn he looked back to try and find out what just happened to his clothes. His belt was tight around his waist and he couldn't remember tightening it that much.
In an unguarded moment he moved his hand to his head, only to get scared by how it looked. It was... a paw.. 'What the..' Ira slowly started to panic and squirm to free himself from the tight pieces of fabric and leather around his body. It slowly started to dawn upon him that some drastic transformation had happened. In a moment of fear and confusion he let out a loud growl and jumped up, ripping his belt and shirt even more.
The liger squirmed and wiggled until he had freed himself from all the loose fabric. The only things left to remove were his leather boots. Ira started kicking against his own feet and then tried to bite through the laces that kept the boots on his now feral paws. After a few minutes of struggling he succeeded to free himself from everything that was tight and suffocating or painful. That was also the moment he started to calm down and look around. Apparently everyone had undergone a huge physical transformation of some sorts. The clydesdale girl was bigger than ever and Zephyros had seemed to have changed into the tiniest of them all.
"What... just happened?"
Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild
Post by spark tb Mon May 08, 2017 11:07 pm
Silence filled the tent, and Esme sat eagerly as she awaited the reveal of this mysterious individual. As the opening curtain revealed their absence, Esme’s smile dropped. As the tent around them began to billow and twist, her expression changed entirely. She growled loudly as she forced herself to her feet, her eyes darting wildly from person to person as those around her began to drop unconscious. She could feel her skin and bone grinding together, and for a few moments Esme stood alone in the tent, her eyes screwed shut as she attempted to resist the magic that sought to change her.
Suddenly, a sharp laugh tore from her mouth. The sound was wild and angry, more akin to the low crashing of a landslide tearing down a mountain. When she spoke, her voice was like the shattering of glass. ‘Whoever you are… y-you… you have made a grave mistake.’
And with that she dropped, powerless before the wave of magic.
As the others began to awaken, the Hyena remained still. If anybody was to pay he attention, they’d notice her body occasionally twitch and shudder. Under her breath she muttered in a language – or possibly several different ones, it was rather hard to tell – which was clearly not Mobian in nature. Every so often her new body would flex, tufts of skin and fur bulging as if some new limb was trying to force its way out. Her shadow flickered wildly, and in certain lights it seemed more akin to some form of monstrous centipede than the hyena that lay there…
Whatever that magic was, it seemed to have hit her harder than most, and looked to be taking its time cementing its changes.
Wolf could feel it... Something had put him on edge even when he'd first interacted with the kid outside of the tent. Now that he was inside the tent, the feeling of unease was shifting more towards dread... although he couldn't be sure of what.
His eyes darted towards the concealed portion of the tent as the curtains there billowed opening... revealing that there was no one there at all, and no sign of what had caused the billowing either.
Then it hit him.
The shockwave of magical energy washed over him as it did everyone else. A soft glow surrounded Wolf for several moments. It then faded out quickly and he crumpled to the ground.
Minutes pass.
As the others begin to rouse themselves from the effects of this unusual transformation, Wolf continues to remain sprawled out on the ground. He had taken on the form of a feral timber wolf, but it turned out that his body proportions hadn't changed too dramatically. As a result of this, he remained fully dressed in his clothing and his cloak was now wrapped around him like a blanket.
Post by Froshana Tue May 09, 2017 10:09 pm
As some of the group began to wake and discover the changes forced on them, a couple of the others remained down for the time being. It had been fifteen minutes now since the burst of power from within the tent. Some were quicker to escape their clothing and adjust to their new bodies while others took a little more time to manage similarly.
Any of them might have noted that once the first of them began to wake, the dim lanterns within the tent that had provided some light for them before remained lit for a short time. After a while, however, they went off, as though blown out by someone. Of course, this wouldn't plunge them into total darkness, particularly for those capable of seeing in the dark, as the lighting from outside the tent still shone gently through the material. It was still dim, however, particularly as the sun was continuing to disappear behind the distant mountains and taking its light with it.
The equine of the group, meanwhile, had yet to wake. It was perhaps fortunate, though, that she'd elected to sit on the back row as, when the spell struck earlier, it knocked her back right off the crate she'd been seated on. And considering she'd grown to over ten times heavier than she had been before, it was lucky that the horse girl hadn't landed on any of the smaller people in the tent.
The much larger Clydesdale was still out cold, lying out on her side, only just barely still within the confines of the tent. They had been pressed for space before, but now with so much horse covering the ground, it might be even more pertinent to watch one's step. As one might expect, the dress she'd had on before was now tragically torn beyond repair underneath her, joined by the undergarments she'd had on as well. Curiously enough, there also appeared to be a keycard and a few dollar bills wadded together among the tattered remains of clothing.
As some of the others began to voice their being startled by whatever magic had transformed them, Venus' ears, still poking out from the top of her hat, which had somehow not fallen away yet, would twitch now and then. However, aside from that and the steady rise and fall of her breathing, she didn't seem to wake just yet.
((sorry, completely missed my turn *sigh* once again, sorry for holding stuff up!))
Fifteen minutes had passed since the fox had blacked out. Finally, though, she stirred from her forced slumber, stirring amongst the pile of clothes that surrounded her new body.
The first thing she saw was thick material covering her eyes, and with a quiet "the hell?" She crawled out from underneath, not knowing that this was, in fact, her clothes, sprawled out on the ground after she changed shape entirely.
When she did notice the denim of her jeans in the dimly lit tent, she raised her eyebrow, or at least... She thought she did? "Are those my... Clothes?" She asked aloud, thinking about how they looked far too big from her point of view. She reached up to her neck, feeling the purple scarf that she was wearing earlier also felt a lot bigger. At this point, she looked down, noticing that instead of her usual hand was, in fact, a paw. Hold on... Was her muzzle bigger?
"Something's wrong," Raito said, stating the obvious as she looked at herself, spinning around a couple of times as she caught sight of her tail. "What even... Am I?"
She looked around, noticing that her sight was... Unusually better than normal, and god why did everything stink all of a sudden?
Just then, she spotted, in the darkness, several shapes, also low to the ground and on all fours, save for one. She got into a defensive position, growling "who's there?"
Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild
The fox's ears flicked and his head tilted. The world was awash with sounds that he had never been able to hear before, smells he had never noticed, and impulses to examine his environment that tens of thousands of years evolution had long buried. A tiny voice came from one of the piles of discarded clothes. Or... was it a voice? Either way, the rustling and sounds of movement awakened a strong instinctual interest, and the fox slowly crept over to the source of the noise. His head still tilted from side to side, ears cuing in on the fluttering and shouting coming from inside a now oversized shoe. The fox's body stiffened at the mere sound, and there was a very strong urge to pounce. Storm... pondered the implications of this. After all, it had become apparent with just a glance around the tent that he was not the only one who had undergone this transformation, and in spite of his still growling stomach taking hold over some of his newly rediscovered prey drives, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to eat one of the others.
Storm peeked into the shoe and found the bird, flapping and sputtering about how small he was. It was great. Bird now had this big long beak and these shiny... Storm would call them butt wings. They were pretty similar to the ones he had before, but these looked far sillier now that he was tiny. Storm tried to laugh, but it came out as some sort of weird panting whine instead. Huh. New experiences all around.
"You okay there, birdie?" Storm peered down at the much smaller hummingbird. "Be careful man! I almost wanted to eat you for a second there!" The fox smiled, still pacing himself as the other animals in the tent began to illicit all sorts of responses from him.
In fact... Now that he took a moment to collect himself, it suddenly became clear that he wasn't the biggest animal in here. From underneath the hood he had worn in, it suddenly became apparent that the loner wasn't a dog. He was a wolf! The fox's tail sunk and bristled as his instinctual aversion to other, larger competing predators overtook him. His instinct was to go somewhere high off of the ground. He leapt up onto something muscly. Wait, muscle? He sniffed. It was a sweet scent. Maybe... perfume? Makeup? It took him a moment to register that he had climbed up onto the Clydesdale! In fact, she still hadn't woken up. Awkwardly, he considered jumping down, but the sight of the very large predatorial cat caused him to freeze in place. Finally, the horse stirring slightly beneath him caused him to jump and land right in front of...
"...Huh. Well then." Storm was almost paralyzed with fear, but his ears flicked and he watched with keen interest at the amalgam of shadows and flesh that somehow condensed itself into the hyena. The sounds that emanated from its still unconscious form were interesting. Imagine the sound of something with a thousand legs crawling through a pile of ground meat. That's about what it sounded like.
Amidst these new drives, sensations, and instincts, a more rational and evolved thought pierced the fox's mind.
"SO HEY." Storm spoke(?) up amidst the confusion. "Anyone have a theory on why we're all animals now?"
Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild
Due to the tiny size and the fact he was currently not sure how to even move properly, Zephryos took a moment to ponder on how to get out of this predicament.
'''Kay, if ah flap mah arms then ah should fly. Just think of flyin' Zeph, you can do this.'
The tiny dark blue avian backed up a little then began to try and run forward while flapping his arms as much as possible. Just as he thought he was about to take off, a humungous fox face appeared in his whole line of sight.
Immediately, his new found feral senses kicked in as he couldn't contain himself as he instead tumbled forwards rather ungracefully towards the front of the show he was stuck in.
"Ahhhh! Don' eat me! Ahm not carryin' much so you'd be wastin' energy on mah little bones!" Zephyros called from his now unexpected hidden place that he just realised was getting a bit smelly.
It wasn't until a few extra seconds had passed and the tiny avian lowered his feathery appendages from his face that he realised the fox guy stated he nearly did in fact think of eating him. He gulped rather loudly at that statement, but then once he made it to the opening again, he got a good look at the male he began to realise he looked quite familiar.
"Yo, big guy. You're the one who wanted pizza, right?  Couldya do me a solid and help me outta here?" Zephyros tried to gesture to his hands... Or were they now just wings? He could maybe figure it out later. Maybe. "Ahm still kinda, y'know,  freakin' out at the fact ah kinda don't have mah hands no more."
Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild
((I'm soooo sorry for the late reply, I know it's no reason but to kind of explain myself, I'm in the midst of finals and it's been a heck of a ride the past week o-o"))
When everything became clearer to Ira, he sat on his butt and started observing the situation. 'Okay, so, I've changed. No no no, we have changed. In what ways exactly, I don't know, all I know is that we are now.. feral.' The liger started inspecting his own new body. It was strong, stronger than before, that was for sure. His tail felt way more important as well.
The dim light in the tent didn't seem to hinder him as well, almost as if he had a built in nightvision. His smell was stronger as well and some scents were unknown to him. His hearing was more sensitive and he felt himself being more cautious and alert of his surroundings. When he looked around a bit more, he noticed what once was the hyena on the ground, seemingly struggling to take her new form. It was a kind of disgusting sight, seeing bones pop in and out of place. The liger quickly looked away and continued inspecting the rest of the people in the tent.
His attention shifted to Zephyros and the fox. They were talking to each other so Ira stood up and walked over to them, only to plop back down on his butt again, just closer to the two. After the fox had asked 'everyone' if they had any idea of what was going on, Ira tried to shrug but kind of flailed instead. "I don't know, seems like we turned back to our prehistoric states." He laughed a bit and then continued. "Kind of cool actually, now that I think of it. No clue how we're supposed to live like this though."
Going Wild - Page 5 Empty Re: Going Wild
(ack, sorry sorry sorry! I actually started typing this up on thursday, but then I got distracted with revision and examination stuff for yesterdaysorrysorry)
Whilst the rest of the animal posse began to wake up, the hyena remaind on the ground! The odd, erratic twitching and pulsation of her body seemed to be dying down though, which was... probably a good sign? It was honestly rather hard to tell, due to her... well, due to her naturally chaotic nature.
But now that the twitching seemed to be stopping, we can talk about what she looks like! ... which is to say, she's not *radically* different from what an actual hyena looks like? You know, quadrapedal, mane-like hair, kinda stupid but cute face with the small ears. However! Naturally, her fur was the darker brown shade of her own fur, and this mane of hair was a deep, lustreous pink! She looked... maaaybe slightly bigger than an actual hyena as well? Closer to a big-big dog scale than a hyena's.
The weird thing, however, where the spots that covered her fur. They seemed oddly.. uniform in their pattern, although at the same time they seemed to hold no pattern any mobian had ever seen, and in the right light they glowed just *ever* so slightly. Not enough to make her visible, but enough to make them stand out in the dimlight of the tent. Honestly, they were just... they were weird more than anying else.
Despite all this, the hyena was *still* yet to awaken. Although based on the more regular breathing patten, and the stillness of her body, there was a pretty good chance she was on the cusp of waking.
( OOC: Well, I have nothing to add here at the moment as Wolf is still unconscious, so I will skip my post for now.
And, I'm sorry too. Not for anything specific. Just want to keep that ball rolling here. Wink )
