Beginning of a Journey

"So... you borrow it cause you don't have that much yourself?" he asks.

Reena shifted her gaze upwards and gave her shoulders a shrug.
"Ehhh, sorta, not really?" she replied, "Sometimes it's just more convenient to pay things off later instead of right now."

"Huh...Okay, if you say so." he replies.

He doesn't seem that convinced, but isn't really interested in pressing the point either.

"Maybe you'll understand one day," Reena suggested with another little shrug.

"Maybe..." Wolf replies, "How money works seems pretty straightforward. But I guess there is a whole lot of other stuff to consider too."

"Trying to balance a lot of spending can be different for everybody, too," Reena pointed out.

"I guess so." Wolf says, "Everybody has different wants and needs. So I bet that plays a big role."

"Yep, most likely," Reena agreed with a nod.

The waitress soon brought back Reena's credit card and Reena smiled as they exchanged 'thank you's and well wishes for the day. The hedgehog then bid them both farewell and went to go and tend to another table of customers.
Reena put the card  and receipt away, then withdrew some money and proceeded to set it on the table as well.

"Well, I think that does it for here!" the dog said to Wolf with a smile. She took one last sip of her drink.
"Ready to get goin'?"

"Sure. We can get going to wherever our next stop is." Wolf replies.

He starts to climb out of the booth they were in and reaches down to grab his bag from the floor.

Reena nodded, also sliding out of the booth, then starting to pull all of her bags back on around her. She was done relatively quickly and, once Wolf was ready, started off towards the door.
"Okay, we gotta find you one more meal for the road." She paused. "Er... the path. ...Well... the forest...?" she mused as they walked towards the exit.

"We'll see where I happen to heading." Wolf says as he follows Reena towards the door, "Maybe I'll be traveling along or among all three of them once we part ways."

"Regardless, you're gonna need a snack somewhere along there," Reena pointed out.
She stepped out of the restaurant and back outside. "So we agreed on... what again?" she asked, giving Wolf another glance.

"I suggested something cooked. You suggested a sandwich." Wolf replied, "Maybe we can find something similar to both of those together."

"Well, let's just go with what you think would be the most practical. You probably have a better idea of what's gonna last," Reena said.

"I tend to just deal with whatever I can find or catch." Wolf replies, "In those cases, food that is cooked or normally dry tends to last longer. Things tend to spoil when there is moisture."

"Hm... Wwwwwell, what about we try a deli, then?" Reena suggested, pulling out her phone again.

"What's a deli?" Wolf asks, looking towards Reena as she takes out her phone.

"It's a place where they prepare different kinds of stuff, usually, like, meats and cheeses," Reena explained. She tapped at the screen several times, evidently typing something into her map.
"Maybe they could have something like what you need."
She seemed to find what she was looking for and glanced around briefly before starting off again down the sidewalk.

"Ah okay." he replies, "If not, at least it'll be a place to start looking."

"Yup! Maybe you'll see something there that you'll wanna eat for your supper tonight," Reena suggested.

"Never hurts to look." he says, "So you know where we are heading?"

"Yep! Got it on my phone now," Reena replied as she lead the way along.

"Oh, alright then. I guess it was pretty easy to find." he says, "It took little time for you to do so."

"I just have to type in the word and it searches the nearby area to see what the closest one is so, yeah," Reena agreed with a broad smile, "It is pretty easy."

"Oh, I see. Very convenient then." he says, "So long as we can find what we're looking for, everything will go well."
