Beginning of a Journey

"If I knew, I wouldn't tell you. It's something you have to figure out for yourself." Wolf replies, as he looks back at her.

Reena snorted in either amusement or annoyance, the smirk returning to a smile again as she shifted back away. "Of course," she replied.
A dull buzz from her pocket drew her attention and she withdrew her phone to glance at the message on the screen. She promptly slid her finger across the screen and began typing a reply with one paw.

Wolf smiles slightly in response. He then watches as Reena withdraws her phone and begins typing away on it.

Whatever she was typing, it was fairly quickly typed out with all the skill of someone who was apparently accustomed to just typing with one thumb. Once done, the cell phone was lowered down to her lap and Reena leaned back on the bench again and looked around for any changes nearby.

Now that the pair weren't making as much of a fuss together, most other people waiting on the platform had gone back to whatever they had been doing to pass the time.

Wolf takes some of this time to look around the platform as well. He seems a bit more interested in staring out along the tracks, looking out towards where they disappear into the distance.

Reena looked back at Wolf for a few moments, then followed his gaze over towards the railroad tracks. For now, though, she said nothing.

Wolf lets the silence stretch between them.

"I'll have to remember that I can follow these kinds of trails much like roads if I'm trying to find towns." he says after a while.

"Yeah, that could be handy," Reena agreed. A little grin spread out across her muzzle. "If you're real daring, you can try to jump on one and get a free lift. Just don't get caught!" she added.

"Is it anything like trying to jump onto a car?" Wolf asks, as he looks back at Reena.

"Um..." Reena glanced out to the tracks again. "Gee, I dunno. I think there might be more to grab onto and it's a bigger target than a car," she replied. She looked back to Wolf again after. "But you should be real careful doing it anyway!" she added.

"So... it's probably not a good idea unless you really know what you're doing." Wolf says.

"Or, y'know, unless the train's not moving," Reena added, grinning a little.

"But doesn't the train only stop in places like this? With lots of people around?" Wolf asks.

"Well, maybe," Reena admitted after considering the question for a few moments.
"But! If you can sneak on without being seen, you can still get a free lift from there to wherever it's going. So long as you don't get seen or caught doing so," she pointed out.

"Isn't that... wrong?" Wolf asks.

Reena gave him a mischievous smile. "Only if you get caught," she replied.

"It's still wrong." Wolf replies, "It's just that you only get punished for it if you get caught."

"Oh c'mon, Wolf," Reena said, nudging him with the back of one paw. "You don't really follow all the rules all the time, do you?"

"No, but then I don't go out of my way to intentionally break them either." he says.

"Ahhh." Reena nodded her head. "Well, you just do you then," she said, "I'm not gonna make you break rules."
Another grin formed on her muzzle. "Well... unless I really have to."

"You'd better have a really good reason." he replies, smiling slightly in return.

"I'm sure I can come up with something if and when the time comes," the Klee Kai assured him playfully.

"I'm sure you'll try. But we'll have to wait and see if I'll help you or not." he replies.

"Yup. We'll have to see if my puppy eyes work on you or not, too," Reena added.

"Puppy eyes?" Wolf repeats, clearly unaware of what she means.
