Beginning of a Journey

With the softness of the mattress beneath her feet, Reena tried to lean back but just wasn't fast enough. And so instead, her eyes widened as she started to topple over forward in Wolf's general direction, still holding out the pillows in front of her. She let out a yelp as she did start to fall.

As Reena starts to topple, Wolf shifts to his right, getting his head to Reena's left side, and he ducks down a bit more and moves forward. He then moves his left arm up and out to try and position it on Reena's right side. From this new position, Wolf was prepared to catch Reena over his left shoulder. Now he just had to see if she'd drop into place or do something in response.

In Reena's attempt to catch herself, her pillows were just shoved down along the back of Wolf's shirt. Her middle landed right on his shoulder, drawing another short squeak as this knocked the breath out of her momentarily.

Wolf wraps his left arm around Reena, draping his arm across her lower back, then he stands up, lifting her off the bed.

"Well, looks like I've caught you again." he says.

He gives her several moments to adjust her position and get more comfortable before doing anything else.

"That was cheap!" Reena protested through a few little laughs as she wriggled back and forth on his shoulder. She started to beat at his back with the pillows in her paws.
"You went for my butt! That's my weak point!"
Her feet kicked a bit and she tried to reach her toes forward to grab onto Wolf's clothes with them, if only to just bother him.

"It was more of a diversion. I didn't expect it to work so well." Wolf replies, "So are you going to give up?"

"What if I don't, huh?" Reena replied, flicking her fluffy tail towards his face. She squirmed a bit, turning to push one pillow against the back of Wolf's head just sort of shaking it a bit there.
"Hhhhuuuhhh?" she dared playfully.

"Well, I do have a few options." he replies, "Most of them require me to set you down somewhere, and then since you won't be standing on the bed anymore, I'll just pillow you into submission. Or since I've got you just hanging around, I could see if I can find any ticklish spots."

"I will smother your face with these pillows if you try to tickle me!" Reena warned, kicking her feet again.
She hit one pillow against his back to accentuate her point.

"That would be assuming that you can reach all the way out in front of me to do so." he replies.

He lowers the pillow in his right paw and sets it down on the bed. He then reaches over to his other pillow with his now free paw and begins to set it down as well.

Instead of making a reply, the dog started to rock a bit on Wolf's shoulder, twisting around from her 'perch' to indeed try to reach Wolf's face. Well... try to, at least. Little grunts escaped her as she extended her left arm around almost parallel with her left side, dragging her pillow across the top of Wolf's head as it went and aiming for his face.

Wolf sets down his other pillow on the bed as well, then he reaches up again to grab hold of the pillow Reena was trying to put in his face.

Reena had a tight grip on the pillow, though, and she would certainly fight back to keep her 'weapon' if he tried to take it away from her.
"What's the matter?" she teased, "Am I too much of a pawful for ya already?"

Instead of trying to pull the pillow away from Reena, Wolf just does his best to shove it back behind his head.

"No, not really." he replies to her taunt, "I just want to be sure that I don't drop you unexpectedly when you start to squirm."

Reena was plenty happy to shove the pillow forward, still, not about to let Wolf have an easy time while he continued to balance her on his shoulder.
"You should be more worried about if I lose control of my legs if you tickle me!" she pointed out.

"Of course." he replies, as he keeps pushing the pillow back, "But I suppose I'll just have deal with that when it happens."

Reena strained, but from her awkward position, she just couldn't overpower Wolf's attempt to push her pillow out of his face, despite her little grunts and squirms of effort.
"Nuuuu!" she protested between giggles, "Eat pillow!"

Wolf kept pushing the pillow, working to get it back behind his head. While they fight over that, he walks around to one side of the bed.

"So... are you ready to be tickled?" he asks.

"Nooooo!" Reena protested louder, "If I scream, people are gonna call management!"
He hadn't even started to tickle her and she was already laughing. Unable to get the pillow back to Wolf's face, she lowered her paw and started to beat at Wolf's back with both pillows.
"Ho, don't do it!"

Wolf tenses slightly as Reena hits his back with the pillows. While she does that, he then reaches up to her left side with his right paw, and lightly pushes against her.

"So, I should start here right?" he asks.

The contact of a paw against her side immediately drew out a squeal from the Klee Kai and she arched and twisted a bit on his shoulder to try to move away.
"Eeek, don't you dare!!" she insisted through her laughter.
She dropped one of her pillows and instead grabbed onto the back of Wolf's shirt with her free paw and started to pull the material up his back.

Wolf then reaches up with his left paw and presses it against Reena's right side. He then rubs his paws lightly against either side of her quickly for a few moments.

This was more than enough to make Reena squeal out adorably and start to squirm and wriggle around. Her feet kicked in front of Wolf, but didn't make contact.
Behind him, she'd pulled his shirt up most of the way and somewhat held it in place with her remaining pillow. From there, she stretched out her free arm and reached for his right side, wriggling her fingers across him as she did so in an attempt to tickle him in return. Granted, it was a sloppy gesture as she was responding to what she guessed was only the start of being tickled.

Wolf smirks slightly as Reena squeals. He doesn't respond to her initial attempt to tickle him in retaliation. He then grabs hold of her at the waist and lifts her up off his shoulder and higher above him.

"You've..! Gotta be ticklish somewhere!!" Reena exclaimed.
Her eyes widened and she let out a surprised, "Eep!" when Wolf suddenly lifted her up. She did briefly wonder just how strong he was that he could seemingly hold her up with such ease, even if she was so small. Of course, now that she was a bit higher up, she took her pillow and seemed about to shove it into his face again...
