Beginning of a Journey

"Maybe something that we can just sit and do then." Wolf suggests, "That way you don't have to exert yourself any further."

"Yeah, but what?" she asked, "Sharing life stories or something?" She grinned a little. "Gonna tell me your lone wolf backstory?" she teased.

Wolf glances away.

"No. I probably won't." he replies.

"Awww." Reena lowered her paws to the edge of the washer on either side of her and leaned forward a bit. She pretended to pout. "Is it secretly boring and mundane?" she asked him, starting to kick her feet back and forth a bit.

"If only..." Wolf replies, "It's not something I like to think about on my own, let alone talk about with others. I'd prefer if you didn't ask about it at all."

Reena frowned a bit, noting that she seemed to have hit a sensitive note. She nodded afterwards, though, and replied, "Alright, I gotcha."

"Yeah... Don't take it personally." he says, "You wouldn't have known until you asked me about it, so I'm not upset with you for asking."

Reena offered a slight smile. She reached over and gave him a pat on the arm.
"Don't worry about it," she replied, "I get it."

He nods to her in return.

"Anything else come to mind for passing the time?" he asks.

"Hm..." Reena started to think over their options when the sound of the second washer stopping drew her attention instead.
"Well, guess we have more time to think of something while we put this stuff to dry," she pointed out.
The Klee Kai hopped down off the washer.
"Why don't you get that stuff out and I'll put some coins in the other dryer?" she suggested as she started off back to the other dryer in the room.

Wolf nods to her.

"Sounds good." he replies.

He moves over to the second washer and opens it up. He starts withdrawing the clothing from inside, making a pile on top of the washer that he could then carry over to the dryer. Once he'd emptied about half the washer, he took the pile over to the dryer Reena had selected and placed the clothing inside it. He then returns to the washer to gather the other half of the load.

Reena made quick work of setting up the dryer and she just waited beside it while Wolf gathered up their clothing and brought it over. Once he'd dropped the rest of the clothes inside the dryer, the Klee Kai shut the door and then set the timer. The dryer was started up shortly afterward.
"Okay, so now we just have to wait..." she sighed.

"Certainly seems like it." he replies, "Maybe you can find something to watch to keep you occupied for now."

"Yeah, maybe. I could get my computer and we could watch something funny, maybe?" Reena suggested.

"Sure. It would help pass the time after all." he says, "It's not problem for me to wait here."

"Okay! I'll be right back, then!" Reena smiled.
She turned back towards the hallway and started off that way, leaving Wolf to watch over the two running dryers.

Wolf walks over to the wall across the room from the dryers and picks an arbitrary spot to lean back against it. Once Reena had exited the room, he closes his eyes and just listens to the sounds of the room while he waits for her to return.

Wolf was left alone for several minutes as Reena went back to their room to retrieve her laptop. As she returned, he might have heard the elevator let out its soft 'ding' upon arriving.

Not long after, the Klee Kai came walking back into the room, her laptop and its charger cord in her paws.
"I'm baaack!" she announced quite obviously.

Wolf opens his eyes as he hears someone approaching from the hallway. Once Reena arrives he nods to her.

"It was only a short trip." he replies.

"Yup!" Reena agreed, "And now at least we'll have something to do until the laundry's done."
She moved over to one of the chairs in the room and sat down, placing the computer in her lap.
"Go ahead and slide the table around in front of us and push your chair over here so we can both see the screen," she told him, setting the laptop on the table.

"Alright." Wolf replies.

He sets to work adjusting the table, which took only about half a minute to accomplish. Then he picked up a nearby chair and carried it around to Reena's side of the table and set it down beside her. He then took a seat next to her.

Once the table was set, Reena reached up to her computer, first having to connect to the hotel's wifi, then starting to look for something for them to watch. Once Wolf joined in a chair beside her, she glanced over at him.
"So, what kind of stuff makes you laugh or what do you find entertaining?" she asked, "You didn't seem too impressed with the movie on the train earlier."

Wolf glances back at her.

"Oh... I really don't know." he replies, "I don't really watch any of this stuff."

"Can't you think of anything that makes you laugh?" she asked, tilting her head to one side slightly.

He glances upward as he considers her question.

"Uh... hmmm... actually... no, nothing really comes to mind." he replies as he looks back at her.
