An Evening At Ease

Midokou felt happy he had accepted her offer. "Well then it'll be a bit of a learning experience for both of us." She said giggling a little. "I never made pie before either, I decided to give it a try today. And I thought..umm..well why not try to make my favorite pie first?" She said hoping she wasn't too sounding silly."Follow me, My house is a little ways from here." She said then turned away and started to walk happily through the woods.

The hedgehog then nodded yes. "Alrighty then. Lead the way." He said with a bit of excitement in his voice as he walked along with the lime green kangaroo to he house.

As she was walking she started to think and wonder if it be okay to ask him questions along the way."Hey uh...what's your name?" She wondered "I thought we should know that much atleast about each other... if that's okay with you." She scratched her head a little.

He looked towards her way as she was asking his name, thinking that it would be rude to just brush the question off. He then began to answer..."My name is Adrian. It's nice to meet you. What's your name?" Adrian asked.

Her eyes widen  for a second then she smiled at him shyly and looked down."My names Midokou, it's nice to meet you too." She nervously pulled her hand out in front of him for a handshake while she was walking.

Adrian smiled back at her and extended his hand out to shake her hand while walking with her. "Midokou huh? That's a nice name. I like it." he said while shaking her hand.

She began to blush a little."ah..well thank you!" she said in quite a cheery voice."May  I ask more questions?" She wonder hoping she wasn't starting to push her luck.

"Sure thing. I don't mind at all." He said while looking at Midokou and chuckled a little bit. "It could be like an interview of some sort..." Adrian said in a joking manner while putting a little smile on his face.

She stared at him then blinked twice."Well, I was wondering how did you learn to control the wind? Also where are you from?" She stopped herself before she asked more.

"Well I've learned to control the wind from my brother, who was also a wind user. It was him who taught me everything about the flow of wind. He would always train me in combat in order to help me focus, then after that, we would often meditate and focus on the air around me on the mountainous regions of Mobius, which was where I am from. That's basically the key of controlling wind, immense focus." Adrian said as he took in a deep breath of air and exhaled. "Sorry if I rambled on." He said smiling.

"Oh wow I see." She said in a curious tone."I-I always been fascinated by those who have such power. I don't know if I could ever handle such a responsibility." She said while looking down at the ground.

Adrian looks over to Midokou with an expression of concern. "What do you mean?" He said.

"I-it's nothing!" She stuttered looking back at him."Nothing serious anyways..anyhoo that's my house up ahead."She said while pointing straight ahead of herself.

"Oh?" He turned to the house as they were walking towards it. "Ahh I see. It's a nice home." Adrian said with excitement.

She ran up to the front door bowed and said "I welcome you to my home..."She then opened the front door and stepped to the side allowing him to enter first."Please come in."

Adrian walked inside of the house, looking around and acknowledging how nice the placed look. He then turned to Midokou. "This is a lovely home you have here."

Her face began to  grow rosy. "Ah thank you very much!" She said."Please take your shoes off then follow me into the kitchen."She had already had hers off and walked inside.

"Ok then." Adrian began to crouch down to untie the shoelaces of his boots and slowly pulls them off of his feet. As he gets up from the ground, he then takes his shoes and places them in an appropriate place and proceeds to follow her into the kitchen.

Mido places her bag on the counter and and then goes to her cabinet for a big bowl. She takes it out then gently places it near the bag on the counter. She then picks up the bag again and slowly pours the berries into the large bowl. While she pouring it she ask's Adrian."Could you please pick up the big book with the cake and fruits in front of it? It's the cook book I recently had gotten." She says as she finishes pouring the last of the berries in the bowl. She then starts to walk towards the fridge.

"Alrighty then." He said as he looked around for the big book. He then sees it and goes to pick it up, but when he does, he slumps over just a bit, surprised by the weight of the book. "W-woah! This is a big book." Adrian said.

She turns her self around looking over to him while the fridge is still open."Yeah , it's a really special big cooking book." She said with a smile "I'm sorry if its too heavy for you, try to be careful with it tho.."Then she picks up all the the cooking items she believes she needs.She carries it all slowly and loses the fridge door with a her tail.

He kept on holding the heavy weighted book with his two hands. "Ok. I'll be careful with it." He stated. "I never knew that they actually made cookbooks this size."

She places all the stuff on the table and sighs in relief. "Now then let's get started! Could you please find the page that speaks about how to make a purry berry pie?" She asked while looking at the stuff on the table

"Alrighty...now let's see here..."Adrian opens the huge book and looks through the table of contents first. He mumbled to himself as he flipped through page after page of the cookbook until he found the page about purry berry pie. "Ahh here we are. I found it." He walks up to her with the book and shows it to her.

She looks at it briefly and skims through the page and the one after that. She then turns the page back and turns to go wash her hands at the sink."Adrian could you do me a favor and read the ingredients out for me?" She says while rinsing her hands.
