An Evening At Ease

She slowly walked a crossed then almost tripped then quickly grabbed onto his jacket. "Oh my gosh.... I'm sorry..." She stood up straight up and regained her composure slowly.

Adrian, surprised by the sudden grip of his jacket, looked over towards her with a little concern. "Are you alright?" He asked her.

" Y-yes I am..it just overwhelmed me a bit but I'm fine now." She say to reassure him.

"Ok thats's good. We're almost there now. Just a little further." He said to her as they were walking along the mountain trail, which turned from rocky to a grassy trail the further they walked.

The path also back broader as well and she became less fearful of it. As she started to walk by hi side she tried to look ahead to see if there was an civilization near by. And there was. Up ahead she could see a small village and the scenery was very beautiful. It looked like they were in a complete different world of their own. "Woow...is that it up ahead???" She asked excitedly.

Adrian focused his attention up ahead and sees the small village up ahead. "Yep. That's the place." He said.

She smiled at the scenery  and walked along side him. "Your home land is very beautiful." She said " I hope they're friendly to outsiders." She said to herself quietly.

Adrian smiled and looked over towards her. "Thank you. The inhabitants are very welcoming towards other people. I think you will like it here." He said. He got closer to the village's main gate and took a moment to close his eyes, letting it sink in that he is returning to his homeland, for he hasn't be home in a long while.

A lioness sat on a branch above the hedgehog, the branch snaps and the lioness falls, "Woah!", she grabs the branch the hedgehog was sitting on, "Help!" she called out, her claw starts slipping off the branch

Mido look over to him and saw that he was was feeling nostalgic. She smiled and and asked him. "Let me know when you're ready to proceed."

Adrian opened his eyes from nostalgia and looks over to her. "Y-yeah. Sorry about that. Let's head in." He said as he went ahead and push the main gates open and sees the village for the first time in a long while.

Mido peeped in and saw a bunch of the locals looking directly at them. She was a bit nervous at first wondering if this was a good time to come in. They then seemed very excited to the guest and many  came to greet them, mainly Adrian.

Adrian became very happy at seeing all of the villagers walking up to greet him and Midokou. One of the inhabitants that stood out was the village elder,  who became overjoyed when he saw that he arrived. 

"Adrian! This is such a surprise!  It's been a long time!  How have you been doing?" Said the village elder.  

"Oh hey Elder! "Adrian said. "I've been doing well. The village hasn't changed a bit." He said looking around the village. 

"Hahaha you are right about that. " The village elder then turn his head towards Midokou.  "And who is your friend here?" He asked.

"M-Midokou, sir." She stammered while hiding behind Adrian slightly. "I-it's a pleasure to meet you." The crowd was so large, she had trouble dealing with so much attention at once.

"Well it's so nice to meet you Midokou. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to find me." The village elder stated as he walked off to his temple.

"It's great to see you again." Adrian said to the elder as he walked off and then looked towards Midokou. "Well this is my home. You want me to show you around?"

Her was was bright red but she tried to play it off and say, "Y-yes please!! I'd be honored to see."  She was very curios as to how things worked around here as well l as its inhabitants, even though she was very shy."

"Great! Lets go then." He said as he formed a smile on his face. He began walking and looking around the village. "For the most part, this is a very peaceful and quiet little place. Sorta disconnected from the troubles of a big city." Adrian walked along until he came across the market area, complete with a good number of stalls. "Here we have the market. They have everything you might ever need here." He rambled on.

She looked around in awe seeing how peaceful the place was. "Everyone here seems so friendly, this seems like a nice place to grow up in." She said smiling. "You have family here still?" She wondered hoping it wasn't a nosy question.

Adrian looked down a little bit when she asked the question. "No. My mother and father both passed away from illness, and I don't know where my brother disappeared to." He said a bit hesitantly.

"Oh my gosh I'm sorry!" She said worriedly, hoping she didn't upset him. "I didn't mean to...I-I-I mean."

Adrian then slowly lifts his head back up and turned towards Midokou. He then walked up to her and puts a hand on her shoulder.  "It's fine. Don't worry about it." He said while giving a slight smile to show that she didn't upset him in any way.

She looked over to him and said "Oh...okay if you say so." She gave a small sad smile back to him. She took in a deep breath then asked. "Say umm could I speak to your elder?"

"Um..sure. Of course you can." Adrian said as he then pointed straight ahead to the temple that the elder resides in. "You'll be able to find him in the big temple straight ahead." He said.

"Um.. thank you very..much." She said a little nervously. She then began walk towards the temple to meet and ask him about their powers. (" I'm so scared... I hope he will have the answer to this..")
