:Unbreakable Chains: - No Escape

The Story:


You've been captured; having no idea whatsoever where you are,held against your own will within a mysterious and very unfamiliar place. Bars of sorts surround you, you're in a cell, but you're not alone. Around you you can see other people with the same fate as you. Bounded by chains that not even the strongest of people can break, drained of your powers so badly that you can't use them efficiently at all and just unable to break free, can you take the mental beating that is forced slavery?

Yes, as you can see this is a slavery related kind of roleplay. This is heavily inspired by Uncanny-Illustrator's roleplay (which can be found in the archives I believe) which was about the same type of topic, but died due to far too frequent posting and leaving people behind in the dust. Sucks.

So first thing's first, I'm laying down some rules.


The Rules:


1. A very important rule, don't leave people in the dirt when it comes to posting, or else a posting order WILL be put in place, and then you'll all be slowed down and have to wait like it or not. It's happened in the past where people post once all detailed, and the one-liner people storm in and take the spotlight, making it impossible for others to catch up. Don't do it.

2. In accordance to the PG-13 rule established all around the site, you are not allowed to do anything sexual, overly violent, or in general inappropriate full on. You CAN however be vaguely suggestive or fade to black if truly desired. We have young members here, just use your common sense.

3. Absolutely no breaking out. Last time this was done there was one guy (not going to give any names) that kept trying to break out (and apparently succeeded in their own mind). No. N.O. If you join as a captive, you are NOT allowed to break out in any way unless given permission by ME or someone else that I list as a topic overseer (which may come, may not). If you fail to oblige by this rule you'll be given ONE warning. Anything after that and you're out, goodbye.

4. Violence is permitted, and I mean pretty violent things such as beating, attacking, whips, all that stuff. They're allowed, yes. But that doesn't mean you should go into huge detail about this kind of stuff. Gore is absolutely not allowed in detail.

5. No powers. I don't care if you're a super special snowflake that can suddenly get their powers back or whatever, you have collars and bracelets that sap you completely of your power, which means you CAN NOT USE YOUR POWERS. If you have a problem, DON'T join as a captive!

6. Fear RP is essential. While yes, your character can be fearless if you truly desire, try to portray your character as an actual person. If they have chains, cuffs, all that kind of stuff on them and some guy comes in with a baseball bat and threatens them, they're not going to spit in their face. ...Normally, anyway. Not 100% mandatory to follow, but adds to the RP a lot more than being a stereotypical badass 101.

7. Follow the other rules on the website as a guideline. That's all.

Once the RP is started, you can still make apps, but after we reach a certain point (you will be notified) apps will be closed. If we reach 10 participants, apps are closed automatically. That's a HUGE amount of people to RP something on the forum!

Darkness...

Moments ago, you were doing your own thing. You were minding your own business. Just being a normal person going about your lives. At least most of you were. A few of you may have been causing trouble, but regardless, you're all in darkness so suddenly.


It's cold in the room you're in. Pretty cold indeed...

Your head hurts. You feel extremely weak. Like you just took a beating, a bad one at that too. Upon coming to realize, you're unable to move properly. You're bounded by the hands. Trying to break them is completley in vain. Trying to use your powers just doesn't work, either.

The room you find yourself in is dark, dimly lit by a small lamp. You can barely see anything, but you can make out two large cages within the room. You're in one of the said cages. Despite what you'd expect you're not chained together, but the toughness of all the cuffs and power inhibiting collars, bracers, all that stuff, are enough to make up for that.

5:00AM - Location: Slave pen

Coming to consciousness, a female cat gave a gentle groan, her eyes opening slowly to see darkness. Must be awake early. She thought to herself.

But when she looked around the room, she realized she wasn't in her bedroom, nor was she back in her space transit ship. She was laying on a hard floor, a cage. Luckily for her it was pretty roomy, actually. Otherwise she'd immediately be having a panic attack. But the fact it was large was enough to make her at least have some time before going mad.

"Wha...?!" She quickly tried to wriggle around. Chains. Cuffs. Looking down furiously, she wrestled with her cuffs, tried pulling them apart to no clear avail at all. After a minute or so she gave up, and looked around, breathing quite heavily. Noticing there were people, she quickly called out: "Hey! HEY! WHERE AM I?!" She pleaded, desperate to know what was going on.

A rinkling of chains and a soft groan. Two sounds that can be heard coming from the corner as the vulpine creature there starts to regain consciousness. ''Urg.. What happened...'' He mutters,raising one of his hands to rub his head,being stopped from doing so by the cuffs. ''What the..?!. Where am i?!'' He shouts,panicking.

Name of Character: Noose Morishe 'Noose'
Age of Character: Mid 40s
Class desired: Slaver, and have PM'd accordingly
Powers: Fire manipulation and explosive self-combustion (basically meaning that she can literally explode herself and be 'reborn' from her ashes, since she's a phoenix)
Strengths: She's incredibly manipulative and fantastic at emotional abuse, as she's broken many slaves in the past to the point where they refused to leave her even with a chance of freedom. She is ruthless and will no hesitate to break workers.
Weaknesses: Water and rain massively dampens her abilities and forces her to resort to physical acts and slight cowardice.
Other notes of interest: She has an incredibly foul mouth and swears like a sailor, but for the sake of the forum obviously I'll cut that out. She's also a phoenix and the owner of an outlaw town called Broken Gorge and is the head slaver there. She also thinks slaves should be used as tools alone for heavy labour and work alone, and spits on and despises anything more 'intimate' than that.

Name of Character: Duxenkreig Bellenum 'Dux'
Age of Character: 17
Class desired: Slaver (in particular, Noose's bodyguard)
Powers: Telekinesis of multiple objects at once. Inability to feel pain with slight regenerative healing.
Strengths: Dux is a fighter. He's incredibly quick on his feet and is skilled with using bladed weapons and explosives. His telekinesis allows him to attack at both close and long range and makes him a fighter worth worrying for your life for. He is also incredibly unpredictable in battle and in mind, so determining what he will do is near impossible. He also can't feel pain, so that pretty damn important too.
Weaknesses: His fluctuating mind makes him easily distracted at the same time, so battles will be prolonged more than they should. He is still flesh and bone, bar the few metal parts like his eye, so any hits on him will remain and will affect him (like, say, a severed limb).
Other notes of interest: He was a slave broken in personally by Noose and experimented upon by the town scientist, Thello. His brain is incredibly corrupt and broken, and the only reason he obeys her at all is because the shock collar around his neck is the only thing he can feel. He also has no concept of a lot of things, including morality.

Clink, clink, clink... Clink, clink...

The sound of cold metal against metal was enough to make the light blue raccoon's ears perk- the chains clinked together and against the bottom of the cage. Vision was blurry... but he slowly regained it as he blinked and shook his head- and simply waited for it to return. Then the yelling of the others came, and the kid immediately jumped up- only to slowly fall back to his knees afterward almost in tears. Everything hurt, and he didn't know why. He hadn't even taken the time to examine his surroundings. Instead, he took a few seconds to pull himself together then tried standing again, this time with success. 

He looked down at himself first and immediately noticed his hands were chained. He desperately tried pulling them apart like the woman who shared the cage with him was doing- but ended up with the same result. Or, rather, none at all. Not to mention, he felt much weaker than usual. It was kind of difficult to stay standing, but he did. He examined the woman in the cage with him- she seemed to be in a similar condition to him. He frowned, unhappy at the entire situation but most of all confused. He wanted to just collapse and cry. 

Meanwhile, in the other cage, A small black creature jolted awake at the sound of the screaming. He looked around frantically, trying to move his tentacle-like bladed arms but to no avail. He was chained up. He moved his arms up as far as he could and felt around his neck in a panic. No translation collar, but instead some other kind of collar. He opened his mouth, trying to speak, weakly at that, but no english came out. Instead, it was just jarbled wisp speak. "*#%%@!!" He stopped almost immediately and looked at the others. He didn't see Deux immediately, and became even more freaked out. He instantly gravitated towards the side of the cage that he could see the other cage from, just barely. It really was hard to see anyone inside of the other cage, it was just lit enough to be able to make out the fact that there was a cage there in the first place. 

He clanged the chains onto the bars of the cage to try and get the attention of the captives in the other cage. He couldn't call out to Deux- but he was probably the only wisp in the area so Deux should recognize him, yeah? Deux did make his way to the other side of the cage, almost trying to reach through them to get to Aries. He felt like he couldn't speak, he didn't want to make a sound. It was no use, the bars wouldn't break. There's no way. Deux turned around with his back leaning against the bars of the cage and slid down into a sitting position. Aries did the same, then looked back at Deux. He hovered up again and looked at the other captives in the cage he was in. Was everyone in the same squalid condition?

Accepted.

Attempting to assume the role of calming everyone down, Ebonia quickly said loudly "We're-We're all i-iin a cage, just try and keep your heads together, o-okay?!" After a brief pause, breathing quite loudly still because of panic, she closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. "We're just in a cage.." She repeated, looking around.

"How? I don't know. Why? I can't think as to why..." Her body was quite badly battered too, her actual outfit being torn and all. She inhaled through her teeth sharply at attempting to move her leg properly. That had apparently took a nasty beating, probably because she'd have not went down without a fight. Oddly enough she had no memory of any kind of resistance. Just minding her own business. That's all she could remember.

Deux lowered his ears and put his hands to his head, sitting there with his face in his knees. He didn't know how to respond, he didn't even know if he particularly wanted to. All he knew was that everything hurt and he wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. From his body language, it was pretty easy to see that he had already given up though. Nowhere in particular hurt more than anywhere else, it was just everywhere- everywhere equally. However, he tried to remember what had happened before this and... nothing came to him. He lifted his head out of his knees- but kept his hands where they were. His pupils dilated, he looked like he was about to have a panic attack.

He couldn't remember, why couldn't he remember?!

Aries looked back at Ebonia however, more ready to respond. Though, he had forgotten that his translation collar was gone and thus could not speak english. He was as attentive as he could be while still being scared out of his wits. He tried to respond. "$#%^*-" And all that came out was wisp speak. Frustrated, he almost started banging the chains against the bars of the cage just to relieve his frustration- but restrained himself and let his frustration out in a heavy sigh. Though that was nearly not all of it- he simply hovered there and observed the others.

He hugs his knees as much as he is able to with the cuffs on,staring at the rune engraved bracers around his wrists. The vulpine,identified as a kitsune by the nine bushy tails that slowly curl around him, looks up after a bit,moving over to Ebony and places his hands on her arm. ''Hey..Are you ok?'' He asks,almost immediatly afterwards mentally kicking himself for asking such a stupid question.

Ebonia looked with a confused look at the wisp, on edge quite badly. The sudden touch from Cyril however made her jump. "No. No I'm not okay. I'm trapped in a tiny, confined space. I can't get out. This is horrible. I HAVE to get out!" She quickly got up to her feet, and wrestled with her cuffs, grabbing the bars and trying to bend them with her strength, but to no avail.

Clang, clang, clang!


"Oi. Stop screwing around in those cells..." Spoke a voice. It was quite deep, quite gruff too, and it belonged to someone who apparently wasn't even there before. A shadowy figure just standing outside of the cells, face couldn't be seen, nor could much detail. The lighting was bad where he was standing.
"This here is one of the strongest materials I've ever come across... you don't stand a chance in hell in breaking it. So suck it up, and deal with it. You're prisoners here because our leader wanted you to be here. And if he WANTS you here, you WILL be here. No questions." The figure kept speaking, before grinning a little. Not that they could see. "If you play by the rules.. things go smoothly for all of us. If you break 'em... we break YOU. Capiche?"

((To clarify, this is a generic slaver, not any of my actual characters. Though I might make him into one, IDK.))

A door could be heard opening with a hurrendious screech. Though no one could see it, the sound of it closing hard ment it had to be made of steel of some other metal.

A hulking figure walked towards the the other shadow. For a brief moment, those in the cells could see the new figure was a muscular mule and snorted with a heavy tone "Boss wants to see ya. He told me to take over."

"I said, capiche?!" He repeated, before pausing, and looking towards the door. "What? Awwh, already? I was just having fun with the slaves here... aight, whatever. Knock yourself out." The figure croaked, wandering out of the room. In the light from the door opening you could make out his figure; it seemed to be that of an armadillo. A buff one at that.

Ebonia watched the door swing open and closed twice, glaring angrily, yet pleadingly at the people outside of the cage. It was like the entire room started to close in on her or something. But the presence of people was helping surprisingly. Which was pretty ironic.

Her ears twitched at the word "boss". So that meant they had a leader. Which meant the leader was absolutely 100% responsible... hmmhm.

"~New meat, new meat, new meat~" sang a certain blue-furred feline as he leapt into the room on all fours, past the armadillo and the mule and into the light of the lantern. Unlike the other two, this one wasn't buff at all, in fact he seemed to be rather skinny and agile. His fur was a wonderfully smooth cyan with splodges of white here and there, and the cat had a large fluffed tail that swayed back and forth like a cat observing a mouse. Which wasn't right about this mobian, however, was what he wore and what he had become. His left eye was mechanical, and the red pupil seemed to 'zoom in' and watch every single last one of the slaves while the regular bloodshot eye simply slowly looked them over. The cat had a jagged grin, like a mischevious child, and he wore long, bladed gauntlets on his hand that could cause a nasty death if they scratched someone. Perhaps the oddest thing of all was the cat's collar - similar to a slave collar in every way, bar the little 'D' hanging off it like he was some sort of pet. Maybe he was. "~Who does Duxxy get to play with today?~"

"Move." Shoving past the mule, the armadillo and the cat was a phoenix. Orange and yellow but from the get-up of her deep crimson clothes with a lot of spikes, she was obviously of some importance. A sneer was spread across her beak, her talons tapping against the ground as she walked. She glanced at them in the cages, each and every one, but didn't exactly pay them of any impressive interest. It was like she was simply looking at clothes to buy more than noticing the people themselves. "Average stock," the phoenix commented, "Not yet knowing their place. Not knowing their irrelevant existence is under my talon," again, she wasn't talking to those in the cages, but rather speaking loud enough for those two behind her to hear her. She clicked her fingers and pointed at Ebonia, "Bring number #02 before me. Now."

"Oi!" snapped the mule as he moved towards the cell, "No need to shove and shout! What room you and your pet want us to take 'em?"

The cell door screamed as it dragged across the floor. The mule made his way to Ebonia and halled her up to her feet with one hand.

Sitting,watching quietly at the new people coming in through that metal door. He silently studies them,trying to determine why they were brought here,chained and power's sapped. His eyes widen slightly when hearing the slavers talk about them,referring to the captives as slaves. A twitch and a further widening of the eyes follow when hearing the singsonging of a familiar sounding voice,glaring towards the cat coming in. ''.. Wait... if he is here, then..'' He mutters to himself,gulping and shuffeling backwards towards the wall and away from the celldoor when the phoenix comes in,curling his tails closely around him in fear,starting to tremble.
