A Dog and a Frog
So this was the G.U.N base....huh, it wasn't much to look at. Had she not had intel telling her something inside was up for grabs, she would have passed this up in a heartbeat. She didn't like the trigger happy self-proclaimed world safety enforcers, or their agenda...or their stupid faces. They were problematic and stuck their noses in the businesses that had nothing to do with them.
Skittles sat on a building overlooking the base with one elbow on her knee, and the other leg hanging over the side of the building. It looked boring as hell, but her employer had given her a job, and she planned to do it. All she was waiting on now, was for her partner in crime to arrive on the scene. Some Green Tree Frog merc who had ties to the job and its contents. It might not be all bad, she mused. Mercernaries had a penchant for recklessness, or at least from what she had seen before. Personally, she hated working with them; They were noisy with all their jangling guns and bulletfire. But, they did have their perks.
"All it takes is one slip of a clip, and all hell will break loose," She had explained to Jasiri, her second.
The hyena was with her this time. Skittles had decided that she might need Jasiri's muscle if things went bad. Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't, but Skittles had a saying of 'Better safe than sorry' when it came to jobs with varying outcomes. If it had just been her with one objective, she could have gone in and been out by now.
But she wasn't the only one going in. Nor was there only one thing that needed pulled out from GUN's hands. And knowing how uptight they were, she had kept Angel back at headquarters to keep a remote eye on them. A contact lens was in her left eye, and it acted as a camera for Angel so that she could see what Skittles did. Skittles didn't see anything special out of it, but apparently, as Angel had described it, everything Skittles saw would transmit data back to Angel, who would relay it back to Skittles during the mission. It was fancy subterfuge tech, and it had been pricey. Pricey enough to put Skittles in a sour mood just thinking about how much of her funds had sunk into it.
"What is taking that merc so long?" Skittles growled out loud, her eyes scanning the street below, then around the rooftops on either side of her.
"Patience, boss." Jasiri rumbled, her muzzle split into a half-cocked grin that never seemed to leave it, "We got time to do this job. Rushing in is what fools do. S'how they get killed."
Skittles rolled her eyes and shrugged, grimly thinking how easy it would be to just slip inside now and get it over with as she waited.
