"Do you have any references? Anyone that can prove that you did a good job in either of those positions?"

"Huh. Those are also useful. This book is weeeird."

"well most of them are dead. The only one I know is liela who is my current master.." willow looked at the councilor. 'man I sound just like lillith...' "you sure this is a kids book? How much did it cost?"

The councillor gave her a stern look. "Can she prove at least one of your claims?"

"It's meant for kids living in families with a history of magic and people that never used magic before," Legion explained. "How much it cost is not important."

"yes. She can prove part of the servent one." "So it. Was expensive?"

"Do you have any means of contacting her?"

"No..." Blatant lies.

"well..She's on Mobius.." "yes" viola said staring

"Which means she is out of reach."

"Books like those that contain real magic are hard to find and expensive."

Willow sighed. "Yes...unless you know of a way to Mobius" "you didn't seem to have that much trouble finding this one"

"Only a few here are powerful enough to open a portal and even if one of them agreed to help you, it would ultimately be decided by a council vote whether or not you'd be given that chance," the Councillor coldly stated. "I voted in your favor once due to you being a new arrival, but I don't do so another time."

"Well, I knew where it was and actually reserved a copy. It was still the only copy the shop had."

"well I have a friend that can make portals pretty easily. I didn't know I needed a vote to get a portal opened. Seems a bit like I'm trapped here by that" "what other books were in the store? Were they not helpful?"

"Black Orchid's rules and guidelines to prevent them from following us here. Surely, you understand her reasoning."

"This was as close to useful as I could find," Legion told her. "Specialized shops require a certificate that you are, in fact, a mage of said branch of magic."

"but whoever you were trying to protect yourself from is long gone." "I guess that now makes sense"

"That's not true. We have reports of them still going after us as recently as half a year ago. This is not a wild goose chase," he says. "This is war and none of us are willing to allow them to succeed."

"But you like the book, right?"

"really? Well they weren't in the forest I was in" "yeah I love the book!"

"So, that puts you with no working experience, as you cannot prove otherwise. The same as your husband."

"Well, are you gonna try the spells?"

"I'm perfectly capable of doing many things. Isn't there another way I could prove this to you? " I'll try that flicker one"

The councillor's eyes went down and up and he corrected his glasses. "No."

Legion got out of her way. "Alright, give it your best shot!"

Willow crossed her arms. "How unfair. So I guess I'm just going to get some job that sucks then?" "Wait how am I supposed to do that?"

The councillor nodded. "There's always a need for more coal miners."

"Get the pose, aim, use. Same thing you did when you used the other spells, I think."

"great. The worst job" "the same?" She said getting to the pose

"The guards will lead you to Foreman Jasper. You are welcome."

"Yeah, now try it!"

She sighed. "Are their really no other jobs?" Viola tried

"No. This is the only job that requires no previous work experience."

The wand crackled with magical energy and she was teleported a few feet forwards, a cloud of lightning briefly around her.

"but you made autumn go to a bakery" willow was so close to letting out a very big beam of energy. "Can I have a moment outside...." Viola looked so happy. "I did it!!!"

"The bakery was only looking for one additional baker." He then had the guards lead her outside to cool off.

"And it also looked awesome!"
