Big Trouble in Little Chun-Nan Empty Re: Big Trouble in Little Chun-Nan

Post by The Red Blur Mon Nov 14, 2016 11:16 pm

On one of those tourist buses, was a certain hedgehog. He was red, with spines that flowed down his back. He was wearing a long, navy blue coat, with some dark red boots and black gloves. The hedgehog let out a sigh "I'm glad this trip was going on the cheap. I need to get away for a little while..." He muttered to himself. It was true that he had been overworked, lately, and was in dire need of a break from it. Sure, there weren't any beaches or anywhere that a normal person would find "relaxing" in Chun-nan, but the change of pace was welcome all the same.

Soon, the bus came to a standstill, letting the passengers off. The hedgehog grabbed his suitcase, thanked the driver, and disembarked. He pulled out a scrap of paper from his pocket, staring at it "now, who was I supposed to meet with, again...?"

The hedgehog looked up from the scrap of paper, breathing a small sigh. He took in the surroundings, noticing that, while electricity was clearly available, through lamps that would presumably light the street at night, the buildings and the way people were dressed was... Old fashioned, in his opinion. Caen took out his phone from a coat pocket, stepping back to try to get a decent shot as he attempted at taking a photo.

(I hope this is better, Jared.)

Shade trudged out of the house he had been living in, shouting back at the rightful owner of the house, "yeah, yeah, I understand," before beginning to walk down the street. As Shade was broke, the owner let him stay in her home if Shade basically did everything she asked. Shade sighed and hummed a song to himself, to pass the time.

Shade, now almost finished with the task he was entrusted with, involuntarily smelled the bus and its emissions. Shade felt mixed feelings of boredom and excitement, "more tourist blood," Shade thought to himself, "how unpredictable!" Shade had been hiding out in this small town for only a few months, but even now tourists were becoming a chore.

"They just bring more new faces," Shade mumbled, "and more faces is bad for me," Shade had now finished the task and now had to head down to the Port. The Port was the place were tourists would arrive, but only Shade would call it that. The black hedgehog took the straw hat he was wearing off and itched his head. Shade to thought to himself, "I have a little time, I could probably visit the Port for a bit," before putting the straw hat back on and heading towards it.

Big Trouble in Little Chun-Nan Empty Re: Big Trouble in Little Chun-Nan

((I hope that it's okay that I join in here, too.))

After a coworker of Flo's obtained a ticket to this locale through rather dubious means (gambling), he managed to convince Flo to buy the ticket from him and travel to Chun-Nan. With a bit of convincing, he persuaded Flo that work was abound here and that it was the most beautiful place on the planet. Flo excitedly headed straight to Chun-Nan.

Flo, a lanky Chinchilla with a dark-gray coat, stepped off of the bus and drank in a deep breath of the new morning air. He began to orient himself amongst the crowed of fellow visitors. "Wow, it sure is beautiful around here." he said aloud.

Being rather excited and feeling festive lead him to approach the red hedgehog without hesitation. He noticed the hedgehog looked a bit disoriented like himself, and he hoped that maybe the hedgehog was here looking for work like himself. "Hey there! I guess you just got here too, huh? You come from a long way off?" He then held out his hand (or..paw?) to the red hedgehog. "I'm Flo, by the way."

((it's mine, actually. I'll continue on, now.))

Caen scoffed at himself "maybe it was a little silly of me to just travel here with just a name and an address. For all I know, they probably don't do addresses out here," the hedgehog muttered to himself. He grimaced as the noise of the crowd grew louder "ugh, tourists," Caen said, not quite realising how ironic his statement was.

Soon, the hedgehog found himself being greeted by a chinchilla who stood before him, holding out his hand. Caen shook the hand, and spoke to the chinchilla, trying to sound as friendly as he could. "Yeah, I got here a few minutes ago. I just got here from Westopolis." Caen said "I'm Caen. Caen Flare."

((Oh, Jared, I gotta ask, is the person Caen is looking for Mei, or someone completely different?))

((I know I'm probably not following the proper turn order, but nobody has posted in days. Hope it's not a problem.))

Flo shook the red hedgehog's hand and offered a smile, a bit nervously, and then replied, "oh, okay. Happy to meet you, Caen Flare. I heard the work was plentiful in these parts. Are you here looking for work, too?"

(Well after you Xaelvik, I guess it is Caen's turn again, then Jared and finally me. Then we repeat that order, I guess? It is Jared's RP so he'll know what the official post order is.)

(1. Haps a Birthday, hope you had a good day Jared.
2. It would be Caen's turn provided we followed the order I provided in me last post.)
