Dance with the Devil

Lillith smiled through her tears. Recin just gave an even more confused face. "What dress?"

The devil decided to break his calm and composed demeanor by proclaiming "This is just one of these days; the weird ones."

The shapeshifter nearly collapsed. "Long story, lots of blood lost to a substitute; glad it worked. Can any of you lend me a hand?"

Recin offered his hand to the Shapeshifter. "I agree with you devil...this is a weird day..."

"Thanks," he took his hand and held onto it. "Just give me a few minutes while I pull myself together."

"It's fine..I can only imagine just how much energy must have been used to make a whole other body." Recin said looking at him.

After said minutes passed, the Shapeshifter streched and cracked his knuckles. "Let's kick some butts."

"I'll gather 'round every archdemon to help Recin break the bubble; the two of you will be our lookouts in case something goes wrong. It's almost certain that as soon as we destroy it or get really close, the mages will counter-attack."

Recin nodded. "Yeah let's.....do this.." Lillith said.

Half an hour later, everything was ready. 

Of course, they ran into some problems.

The devil's estimate was really optimistic – the amount of archdemons remaining was somewhere around twenty and out of these, only fifteen showed up.

"This is all we have; this better work or all our efforts were a waste of time."

"ok..Not as much as I expected but I can still work with this.. now we are going to trick this bubble. I need two of you who are the weakest in this group to go and shoot at the edge of the bubble at one concentrated area. This will make that bubble focus more energy on that area and using less on the other areas. The rest of you are going to help make this bubble that will counter the one currently trapping you all. So basically an offensive bubble. We should all focus on the opposite area from what the other demons are shooting at far a better chance at the bubble cracking and popping quicker." Lillith looked at Recin. She had never heard him take charge like this before.

Two of the weakest archdemons concentrated their attacks on a single area, while the rest, including the Devil, were following his lead in creating the counter-bubble.

The entire realm shook. "Is this a good or a bad sign?" Another quake.

"Good... Just keep putting more energy!! Their bubble is getting unstable!!!" Recin said still focusing. "It should crack!! Just give it a couple more moments!!!"

It took a lot more time, but a single crack did appear.

Recon saw this crack and aimed his wand to Lillith and shot her Turning her once again into giant. "Recin didn't waste a moment to let her respond. "HIT THE CRACK LOVE!!! HIT IT WITH YOUR NEW STRENGTH!!!! THIS BUBBLE WON'T PREVENT YOU FROM COMING CLOSER!!" Lillith didnt spend time nodding and just went for it changing at the crack and hitting it with all her strength.

The crack became bigger and once more, the entire realm shook.

Recin kwpt his balance and pointed his wand at the crack. " NOW BREAK!!!!!!" Recin started chanting something in another language. Strong beams of different colors were summoned and started to be shot at the crack.

There was a loud noise, like the sound of breaking glass and the entire bubble shattered, its shards harmlessly turning into dust.

A brief silence from pure amazement and then, cheering.

Granted, it would be short-lived when the realization of this being just one step kicks in, but for now, Recin was their hero.

Recin pointed his wand at Lillith to turn her back to normal. "Yay we did it!!!!" Lillith said happy. Recin breathed heavy and fell to his knees. He wasn't used to putting out that much energy all of a sudden.

"We'll take it from he-" Before the Devil could finish and continue their plan, the entire realm shook again.

Something shot out of the sky and landed on the nearby street.

Wings, an armour out of gold, a sword. The mages sent in an Archangel.

"Oh come on, really?!" the shapeshifter whined. "Cut us some slack!"

"Guess I'm never going to be in heaven..." Recin said. Lillith looked at the Angel. "why are you here?!? We are just trying to stop being g trapped here from the mages!! "

"God has commandeeded me to maintain status quo; Hell must not prevail, for the mortal realm will be in endangered."

"You do know that the Devil can leave and come back freely, right? Explain to me why, with all his power, is Mobius not in flames?" The shapeshifter stared him down.

"Yeah I'm not interested in making Mobius be in flames!!! I just want hell to be what it's supposed to be!!! A place that totures the sinners!!!" Lillith yelled. "Are you really going to fight That?"

The devil leaned to Lillith and whispered. "We never stopped doing that; we just hid it from the public. Beneath all the houses and the land is a giant, fiery cavern."

"How many times has Hell invaded Mobius in the past?" The shapeshifter continued with the questions.

"Not even once; but that doesn't mean there's no possibility of a full scale invasion in the future!"

"oh... man this hell is so different.." Lillith whispered back. Recin decided to talk to the angel. "Oh please!! If they haven't attack in all these years than its obvious they don't have an interest in invading!! Think about it!! Go back to god!"

Embarassed and defeated by common sense, the angel left.

"Are you still up for the inflitration?" the Devil asked Recin.

"hmm....sure why not. Reasarching back in my home is so boring." Recin said. "But do you have anything to eat? This breaking the bubble thing really wasted alot of my energy."
