Liela looked around the room for something that could be of value.

Maggie just stayed at the wall and pressed the symbol this room was assigned.

A pedastal rised from the center of the room. It had the shape of a hand on it, but there were spikes all around it.

"Uhh... any volunteers?" Liela really asked because she really didn't want to put her hand there.

[Crimson Skies]

Maggie placed her hand there and blood poured down the pedastal. "Wimps," she said. "All of you."

The blood activated a mechanism under the floor and the rock slab moved out of the way. The ground shook slightly.

""Don't care if I'm a wimp." Liela looked at the mechanism.

[Crimson Skies]

It slid back into the ground, leaving behind the same symbol this room had on the map.

"No idea what we did, but we did something."

[Dogy9978]

"Now we leave to do the same thing in all the other rooms I guess."

When they want back into the hallway, all four jackal statues were in a different pose. They were sitting when they were ambushed by the locusts, but now appearing to be standing up and leaving their pedastals.

"Giant, black slim dogs," Ayah noted, not knowing what they were. "We should set up some traps."

"Exactly what are we going to use to set up traps?" Liela was looking at one of the statues

Ivona was already one step ahead of them, making cirlces of light on some very specific point that when stepped on, would explode, drawing on the lights of the nearby torches to do so.

It wasn't the best trap, but it could at least blind them and allow others to get a shot.

"Clever," Maggie said. "Very clever. Where'd you find this crafty lil' thing?"

"In the same mansion I summoned you, Maggie."

[Crimson Skies]

Ayah tried striking one of the statues with her daggers, but it only rebounded back to her, snapping her wrists and causing her to yell in pain.

Maggie dealt with this by grabbing both of her hands and setting the wrists right again. "Did mommy never tell you not to touch things you don't know about?"

Ayah, tears in her eyes, just gave her a rude hand gesture.

"Ayah, are you going to be ok? " Liela said backing up from the statue seeing they are dangerous.

[Crimson Skies]

"Yeab," she carefuly moved her wrists, but every movement hurt. "Guess destroying them before they awaken isn't happening."

"I kind of don't want them to wake up." Liela wandered what room they all should go to next.

There were three rooms with mechanisms that weren't activated yet.

"If we had Lillith," Maggie said. "She'd tame them."

[Dogy9978]

"What you do you mean?" Liela asked looking at Maggie.

[Crimson Skies]

"I just have the strong notion that she's good with animals," Maggie said. "Maybe before we fight them, you should at least check the book to see what we're up against."

[Dogy9978]

"Lillith good with animals? I guess I could see that but you want to know what we are going to fight? Sure. " Liela took the book and started to look at the mission.

'Level 60 – Tomb Guardian. A proud and noble beast, these giant jackals were often made into statues and enchanted to protect the final resting place of a pharaoh in the event that someone tried to raid the tomb.

While in a group, only one will attack at all times and when defeated, another will continue to fight in its place.

Despite their high level, they are perfectly manageble even as level 40 in one-on-one if the user if sufficiently able to provide dodges or any type of damage reduction, as they hit pretty hard. Moves that are meant to ignore damage don't work; instead, they merely reduce damage taken.

"According to the book, as long as we know how to dodge and think smartly in the fight, we should be ok. They only fight one at a time so that will definitely help."

[Crimson Skies]

"Just one at a time?" Ayah asked. "What do the rest do, sleep?"

[Dogy9978]

"The rest just stay in their places until one of them falls. Then another wakes up and replaces it."

"Yeah, that doesn't sound tedious at all," Ayah continued on. "Third time and I still think we're making a mistake, going against things bigger than what we can chew."

Maggie was fighting the urge to slap her, whilst Ivona just straight up ignored her. Negativity, like laughing or yawning, was contagious and only by not participating did the chances go down.

"Thanks for being so supportive Ayah. Really makes me feel way better about this." Liela Walked to another room. She didn't look happy.
