"Well the second time wasn't my fault!" Liela glared at ayah. She was still very hurt and pissed about what happened.

When they got closed, the same old same happened and Ivona once again repelled the bugs with her powers, which again woke up the mummies.

"Back to this again." Liela got in a defensive position.

Maggie glared at them, but her gaze only petrified three of them and when she tried petrifying more of them, it had no effect. This was probably the book balancing her skills out, as otherwise it would be too overpowered.

Liela threw a couple beams at the petrified mummies just to get rid them. "Ivona, don't do any moves that'll make you Faint. We need your light for the scarabs! Ayah, Maggie, we are going to have to take these mummies down one at a time. Our combined attacks should be enough to do that."

The combined power of the beams and Ayah's daggers shattered the mummies and Maggie petrified a few more of them. Despite three of them dying, Liela only got a single Mummy Scrap.

Like instruscted, Ivona kept light around them at all times to repel any scarabs that would dare to approach them.

Liela continued her attack hopping this tactic would work for a little more longer.

After a while, they cleared the entire room and Liela got enough Scraps to make a Cloth, which the book crafted for her. It then showed her that she still needed a papyrus, which was supposedly could be acquired here as well.

"That was easy," Maggie said. "This is what's been giving you problems?"

There were ominous-looking jackal statues and a long hallway, with holes on the ceiling. The hieroglyphs on the walls told the story of a battle of sorts.

"Okay guys, can anyone of you know how to read hieroglyphs? This room feels like a trap."

"Nope," Ayah said and Maggie flung a piece of rock across the room with her tail.

Nothing happened.

"See that?" she pointed at the holes in the ceiling. "Bait. We walk under it and scarabs."

"Well there is no other way across. Ivona, can you shine your light a little brighter. Maybe towards those holes?" Liela asked as she decided to be the first to walk under the holes.

When she shined it there, a swarm of locusts flew out and begun attacking them. Ivona immediately made a shield around herself, but it wasn't big enough to protect anyone else.

"RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN!!!!" Liela screamed as she ran to another room with great speed. Liela did throw only a few beams at the locusts.

Ivona detonated her shield, frying some of the locusts, but not enough to keep them off their back. Maggie tried to petrify them, but it wasn't very effective and neither were swords or a whip of her tail, as the targets were fast and small.

Conveniently, the room behind them closed shut with a large slab of rock.

Liela was breathing heavy now backing away from the now closed of room full of locusts. "Wow that was crazy. Is everyone ok?"

"I'm slightly claustrophobic," Ayah admitted. "And I see no waa out of this room." The sound of the swarm died down, but the slab did not move out of the way.

Maggie was looking at the hieroglyphs at one of the walls. She couldn't read them, but they showed something like a map of this tomb.

There was the starting room, the hallway and four rooms, two on each side and they had some sort of signficance, as each of them had a symbol and the big door to the next part of the dungeon had four, including the one in this room.

But what did it mean? What were they supposed to do here?

"No wat out of this room huh?" Liela Walked next to Maggie who was looking at the hieroglyphics on the wall. "What could this mean? Any ideas Maggie?"

"A map of some sorts," Maggie explained. "This is one of four side rooms and we need to do something in them to get to the next part of the dungeon."
