It strangely put her in the next level. Everything was dimmed down, as if it was night. No music played, no enemies spawned. She couldn't even collect bonuses to increase her score or rack up some extra lives.

"This is a pretty pathetic way of scaring me game. You want to get my attention then why don't you say my name." The character walked through the level.

A slow and sad song begun to play. It then begun raining.

Then, out of nowhere, a message box appeared.

'L̗̠͈̭i͏̯͙̳̪͙l̤̠͔̬̤͙͞ͅl̛̤̰̻i̧̘̗̤̠͖t̴̪̤̮h͏̜'

Lillith gasped for a moment before making her character walk some more. "Alright game... you've got my attention." Lillith turned back to the others. "Does this game usually does this to you guys?"

"No, it never did this before," Stella said.

An image flashed. It was of Lillith. Both of her eyes with were gone and ink was dripping down her mouth.

She then came across another friendly. It wore a long, dark cloak, perfectly concealing its identity.

A message box appeared. 'Follow me. This can still be averteeeeeeeeeeee' The game then let out a loud beep and the figure disappeared.

Lillith was disturbed by picture of her like that. "What do you want game?!"

The game did not respond to her in any way. Enemies and collectibles blinked into existance, but the sad music remained.

Lillith tried her best to defeat the enemies. She was pretty worried wondering what would happen next.

The enemies used attacks she had never seen before, such as charging, shooting three projectiles in a shotgun spread and even briefly turning invincible.

"How in the world am I supposed to beat this?!" The character dodged trying to shoot the enemies.

With some trouble, she did make it past them and onto the boss fight, which was the same one as before, only the platforms were now reinforced steel.

"Oh come on!!!" Lillith made her character run pass the boss.

The screen did not scroll and there was no door. She had to defeat it.

The group did not answer, because they didn't know. Lillith's character lost a life and was on the last one.

Then, the mysterious figure from before appeared, whipped out an odd-shaped and odd-coloured gun and held the trigger before firing. The boss was killed in just one hit.

A message box appeared. 'Stop fooling around, just follow meeeeeeee' Another loud beep and the character was gone. The doors that appeared shortly after were already open.

"So that just happened." The character went through the door.

Same thing as before, but this time, there was an invisible floor at the very bottom which she could walk on. The mysterious figure appeared on the right edge of the screen for a brief moment and then disappeared.

A message box appeared. 'Press A + Up Arrow to perform Reckoning'. This was odd, as her character had already learned all the moves she could use.

Her character made an upward slash with what looked like a scythe. The weapon's colour pallete was that of Lillith's clothes.

"WHOA A SCYTHE!!! THAY IS SOOO COOL!! ITS COLORS ARE LIKE ME!!!" Lillith really liked the weapon. She continued walking head to where the mysterious figure went.

Enemies begun appearing and in contrast to how dark it was, the music was pretty upbeat. The new enemies, however, were zombie versions of the enemies she had seen or defeated before.

"undead enemies?" Lillith pressed the buttons and began to scythe down the enemies. "Now this is fun!"

A meter on the bottom slowly fills up as she kills enemies and when its full, a message box pops up, saying. 'Press A and hold Up Arrow to activate Judgement'

Lillith pressed the buttons quickly. She was eager to see what would happen.

Her character whipped out the scythe and made a mad dash across the entire stage, killing everything and everyone she came across with, friend or foe alike. Then, when she was about to reach the end, the ability stopped and the game froze for several seconds before the next stage loaded.

It was a park of all places and the figure was sitting on a bench.

'I have something to show you' A text box said.
