"WHAT THE HELL!!" Lillith was pissed and slammed the controller down to the floor. "THAT WAS COMPLETE BS AND THE GAME KNOWS IT!!! I DONT WANT TO PLAY THIS ANYMORE!!!! " Lillith started to hiss.

"What did you expect? It's called 'I wanna be the hero'," Ayah tried to calm her down and took the controller from her. "Each game that begins with 'I wanna be' is very difficult."

"In games like these, you have to earn your fun," she said. "With his anger issues, I don't know how he manages to even play these. He completed this game 100%, if that's any accomplishment."

"Let me just swap it for another game." She took the CD out and popped in another. Already, the second game greeted Lillith with a cheery title screen.

Ayah showed her how to play the game. "You jump by pressing this button, run by holding button and shooting by pressing this button." The game was a platformer. Standard stuff. Fun, simple, at times challenging but fair.

"Okay." Lillith started to jump and shoot at the same time. She didn't know who were enemies and what were friends.

Enemies were everything she could kill, friends were what she couldn't. Some enemies could only be killed by jumped on, others could only be shot and some couldn't be killed at all.

Lillith seemed to be enjoying the game a little. She liked that you had to do different things to kill enemies.

Then came the boss encounter. None of the tactics she learned so far were working; the boss couldn't be jumped on or shot.

The boss ate all of them and the platforms beneath him gave way, making him plummet to his doom. A single door appeared on the other side of the platforms, past the newly created pit.

"Yay I beat the level!" The character walked through the door.

Her character appeared in a featureless black room and fell to her death.

"This isn't supposed to happen," Ayah said. "And to think of it, neither is the message that you got earlier. Strange."
