Re: The Moondance Incident
For ease of identification, the Egg Carrier's crew had nicknamed the enemy ships. Because of its petal-like configuration and high-orbital path which would suggest a transfer orbit from Luna, the first ship had been nicknamed the Moonflower. The Moonflower had been doing a good job of keeping Ark Colony between itself and the Carrier's firing envelope. For now, it had made no overtly aggressive moves.
Of more concern was the ship they'd nicknamed the Star Dagger. The Star Dagger was a large, triangular battleship that easily outmassed and outgunned the Eggman ships. It was loaded for bear with eight powerful turrets in its dorsal broadsides, and currently it was closing to engage with the Egg Carrier.
A fact which did not impress Captain Malaita.
The Star Dagger was clearly a ship built for slugging it out, perhaps as part of a larger fleet operation that included hundreds more ships of its kind controlling the flow of battle through formation tactics. Because of its mass and dimensions, it would have a very ponderous moment of inertia that made it a poor choice in a maneuvering battle, especially against three smaller, more nimble ships.
A fact that Captain Malaita was more than happy to take advantage of, as she ordered the Egg Fleet to dive below the Dagger's firing arc at flank speed. They would cut under the battleship's belly where its main guns couldn't reach and use their superior acceleration to outmaneuver the enemy ship. To discourage the enemy from further pursuit, the Carrier loosed a salvo of twelve anti-ship missiles into the Star Dagger's path. The telephone-pole-sized missiles cut a path through space that put them on a collision course with the enemy ship's nose. Meanwhile, the smaller Mako-Class Gunships opened up with barrages from their small coilguns. Sixteen of the small cannons fired into the leading edge of the Dagger's projected fight path as the ships made their pass beneath the battleship. Fleet combat had begun.
------------------------------------
Streaks of wispy flame burst from the tips of RCS nozzles as Dante and his squadron made their way through the debris fields around the face of Space Colony Ark. He eyed his display as the distance counter ticked away. They were approaching Waypoint Marker Alpha. If the Carrier's information was up to date, the shuttle bay they were drifting towards would be large enough to accommodate their insertion team.
"Keep your eyes open. They're out there somewhere waiting to crash the party." Dante took a look at the sensor display, probing for any nearby contacts. "They probably aren't even bringing the booze."
Dust flew from a nearby piece of rock as Spencer practically embedded his mech's feet into it, forcing himself to a stop.
"OOH! But I brought the Fireworks, so it isn't all that bad!" Missile doors flipped open across the mech's body for a moment, revealing the overabundance of ordinance at the hyena's disposal. "Wait, J.P. brought the streamer's right? It's not a party without streamers. And hats. AND A PINATA!"
"Get back in formation, Spencer!" Jean-Phillipe cut in. "We're working right now!"
"Work, Party. Work Party. Party work." Spencer kicked off the debris and ignited his thrusters as he returned to the formation. "As long as there's cake. OH NO! We didn't forget the cake did we?"
Dante was about to knock the hyena on the back of the head when the tactical display flashed before him.

The Tasmanian devil tapped a few keys on his control interface and swiveled the mono-eyed head to face the direction indicated on screen. He zoomed in on his target. The optics adjusted and snapped into clarity revealing.... the single G.U.N. fighter.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is boys! It's the army!" He mocked over his squad's radio channel. He switched frequency and contacted the egg fleet. "Carrier, this is Fullback-1. I have visual confirmation of G.U.N. forces in vicinity of operations. Awaiting your order."

Re: The Moondance Incident
The scout team continues to hide inside the broken star ship as Lothar's radar detects another unit entering the zone the AI in his unit notifies him
ENEMY REINFORCEMENTS DETECTED. 1 FIGHTER REGISTERED TO G.U.N. NAVY
"Well it seems G.U.N. has sent in their own scouting unit." the duke continues to observe the situation unfolding due to even though he fully leads the commonwealth. He has full trust with the Countess inside the Assault Fortress and her ability to lead.
"We receive information on the battle Duke" The transport responds to the scouting party. " It seems the unknown forces' warship is focusing all its firepower on the Empire. The Countess is looking at the situation unfold from her warship. What is your order's Duke?"
"We will continue our post. If we are lucky we can sneak in while the Empire's scouting unit focuses it's fire on the fighter, but we will comply with any decisions the Countess makes. I have full confidence that she will make the right decisions and we can adapt to any changes. We know now that the unknown forces have a Strong grudge against the empire and are putting all there eggs in one basket to destroy them. " The Robian finishes his response to the transport.
"Not only that Duke. We do not know the capabilities of the G.U.N. fighter. I scanned the database from our operatives planet side, but the fighter is not in the information. It seems it's a new type. Possibly to compensate for there space forces." Scout 2 would respond to Lothar as the helmet is removed revealing a Female Penguin. Taking it off temporary to eat a ration bar. The cockpit on the Cuirassier's is sealed well enough to keep oxygen inside and not expose the pilot to the vacuum of space.
" Then we wait. Prepare to move out on mine or The countess command" The duke responds to the scouts as his Hippogriff shields rotate to bring the machine guns to bare

Re: The Moondance Incident
Cermina sat upon the bridge, a flask in hand as she smirked "So, the stage has been set and the first act has been of the done yah?" she mused as she watched the display unfold; the unknown enemy force was engaging the Empire forces first? Splendid, more time for the Countess's forces to secure the Ark with less struggle.
"Let us have them beat each other, we shall use this of time to find what we need in Ark; Duke Lothar, commenced Operation NightFall, you know of the drill." She spoke through the coms towards her scouting team as she watched the display unfold; the Empire forces and unknown forces would begin to dance on the plot as she smirked and crossed her legs "avoid the GUN fighter as well, let us not step on of them toes, we want to make dis clean; keep our hands and aces up of sleeves yah?" she chuckled as she switched frequencies to the fighters.
"My my, to what do I owe the audience of the Countess." Spoke a deep feminine voice with a trace of sinister intent. The screen opened to a large woman, perhaps on equal stature with the Countess as she was nestled in a dark red cockpit of her fighter craft.
"Ah, comrade Captian Miren of Comet Group 1, are you watching the dance of death between Empire and unknowns?" The countess asked as she looked at the figure on the other side; passing through the dark side of the Assualt Fortress, her cockpit was illuminated briefly by the sun, showing a red gargoyle female nestled inside of it.
"I have caught wind of it, my countess, the Empire's fighters are indeed capable, but I am unsure of these unknowns; their super-capital ship indeed is impressive, but I doubt it could hold a flame to our own."
"Nyet. I doubt it can, but we not knowing of dat; best to be cautious rather than guess we better. When you guess, you end up dead."
"Hrmm, but of course Countess, what are your orders for us?"
The Drakess hurred "Your squadron has stealth devices ready yah? Go and inspect this battle, but keep at distance; I want tabs on the going on there, not getting of involved. If you are detected, retreat, but DO NOT engage, understand comrade captian?"
Miren glared at the screen; the female gargyole no doubt wanting to wet her talons in the blood of her enemies, but she had ordered as the Captian nodded from behind her elongated helmet.
"As you wish, we shall watch from afar."
Outside, the wing of fighters shifted their patrol pattern, glowing steadily as they shifted to a black and red hue before vanishing from the vision screen. Radar showed them flying just to the edge distance of where the battle would commence. Engines on low, systems passive, the fighters lost speed but were virtually undetectable as they entered the debris to find a location suitable to scout the battle from afar.

Re: The Moondance Incident
The perfectly spherical explosions from heavy anti-ship missiles bloomed in a bright arc across the Star Dagger's shields, sending ripples of kinetic energy cascading through her barriers. Scant seconds later, the barrages of hypervelocity rounds added their fury to the attack, testing the limits of the warship's defensive fields.
Meanwhile, the three Egg Fleet ships continued their evasive maneuvers, separating into a wide defensive split to minimize the Dagger's ability to target the whole of their forces. As anticipated, it opened fire with its ventral arrays, targeting the Egg Carrier, which was already corkscrewing on its central axis to bring its broadside weapons arrays to bare. The Carrier's I-field surged to life, and the Star Dagger's shots curved away from the carrier, deflected by the invisible barrier of magnetic force. A tense few seconds passed as the carrier jockeyed for the idea firing position. Once achieved, its port-side laser turrets opened up, piercing the black of space with a pair of blindingly-bright spears of light aimed directly at the Dagger's belly. Simultaneously, the missile tubes mounted on the broadside flank of the ship ejected another salvo of twenty missiles that quickly oriented themselves towards the enemy ship and accelerated towards the Dagger like a swarm of hornets.
The focus on the Carrier gave the two Mako-class Gunships the opportunity they needed. The two shark-like ships twisted to bring their gun arrays back onto the Dagger's flight path. Bright flashes of electrical discharge sent kinetic rounds glinting through the dark, noiseless vacuum of space. So far, the Dagger had done little evasive maneuvering. Just what was it up to?
-------
"Helm, keep us on the Dagger's lower rear flank." Captain Malaita ordered. "Prepare to launch our fighters. We'll keep them wrapped up while we transform over to Battle Mode."
There was a hiss from behind as the bridge door slid open. Kensolve said nothing as a new figure stepped towards the bridge.
"Permission to enter, Captain." The monkey beamed cheerily as he stood near the entrance. The sea snake didn't turn back to look, but Kensolve noticed she appeared a bit ruffled as the simian entered her precious bridge. The echidna continued his silent vigil as the scene unfolded before him.
"Talk or leave, Doctor. But don't waste my time. We're in the middle of a battle!" She gritted her fangs as the ship shook a little from a particularly potent hit. The monkey simply smiled.
"Exactly! Perhaps its just my opinion, but this would be the best time to take advantage of some of the ship's advanced features! It's not often that we get a chance to bring a research testbed into combat! And I'm confident that the breakthroughs we've made in our research will--"
"THANK You, Doctor Mitei, but we don't have time for a research presentation!" The captain stood up on her mechanical legs as she glimpsed back behind. "I did not forget about your little science project, I just don't want to play our trump card yet. Now please return to your post."
---------
Static crackled across Dante's radio as the ship responded. "Acquisition of the target takes top priority!" the comms officer relayed. "Continue to waypoint and only engage if the enemy contact comes within five-zero kilometers."
The devil exhaled sharply through his teeth in frustration. Up ahead, the waypoint marker hovered over a now-visible opening in the rocky surface of the Space Colony. Sure. Okay. Pay was pay. But Spencer's anticipation was starting to rub off on the devil as he eyed the glowing red target indicator highlighting the GUN fighter in the distance. He was beginning to feel the hunger for combat.
The odd skittering of something behind him jostled him from his thoughts. He tapped the glass behind himself trying to silence whatever it was.
Shut up, ya little bastards! We'll get to you eventually!

Lothar would notice the unit leaving to zone and heading towards the colony
" It seems they rather not play with the G.U.N. Fighter.. Cermina. We will distract the empire mech scouts until you can get the transports inside the ship. We will deal with G.U.N. as well if the fighter gets in the way "
With that com going out Lothar pings the support transports " Prepare for an engagement we must distract them long enough for the transport team to dock into the colony and start there mission. "
With that as the egg mechs had there backs turned the three scout appeared. One of the Napir frames left arm opens to reveal a beam sword moving at high speed to strike at the mech. The second Napir raising its pulse rifle and firing ring beams at the other escort. As for the commanding egg mech Lothar's Hippogriff opens the shoulders and lower legs. Spewing forth 20 funnels as the Hippogriff's shields move to the rapid fire rail gun mounts and lays a barrage of slugs towards the enemy machine as the funnels spread out
" Remember. Hold the line until our transports are inside the colony." Lothar preaches to his followers currently engaging the mechs as the support transports move towards the area of operation.

Re: The Moondance Incident
Cermina acknowledged Lothar's message as she kept a small window view of the Duke's operations. She could see from the altering Combat cams on each of the units what the avian wanted to do. She applaud his tenacity as well as his independence in his operations. Cermina was always pleased with his work and he certainly did a hood job of commanding her forces.
However, Cermina wasn't one to simply let her forces go in unprepared nor underpowered as she tapped a console nearby.
"All units, dis is Countess Cermina, it is time for operation "Stagent" to commence. All combat forces in preparation for boarding actions will begin their operations immediately. We are to assist Duke Lothar and his combatants in any way possible, however, your duty is to secure the Ark ship and all data upon it. If the Empire, GUN or any other forces get in your way upon Ark, destroy dem."
---
The AF began to moved towards the derelict Ark, its thruster gently pushing it towards its objective as hanger bays hiss open, and large transports fly out.
"This is Captian Anita Wade, hope you boys and girls are strapped in nice and tight." A female voice spoke over the internal coms of one of the transport. Anita, a brown owl sat in her captains chair as her co-pilot sat behind her, slightly elevated as she managed radar and distance weapon controls.
"We're going to be going in hot burn so strap in tight! Once docked, you ladies and gents better move fast cause we're not going to stay long, so gather what you can and be ready to bounce." She tapped her controls as the engines began to come to life.
With a shunt and hiss, the main dock doors opened and three transports jettisoned outwards towards the station, followed closely by two more wings of fighters. The sleek, blue and grey craft dipped and dived around the larger transport counter-parts as Anita's shuttle led the way towards ark station.
"Duke Lothar has already laid out a path for us in the debris to keep us hidden, let's follow it best we can and get there in one piece. The fighters will provide top-cover for us case someone gets wise."
Confirmation lights on the other three transports blinked as Anita sighed, letting the computer manage most of the flight controls as they soared towards the debris field and the marked path Lothar had deployed.
All three transport were loaded with soldiers and battle armour; though they would certainly be in deep once the fighting started, Anita hoped to be far away as possible. Her dropship Transports we're meant for stand-up fighting, despite being considerably well armed. Each transport houses two heavy 30mm Auto-Cannon on the nose as well as a slew of Raven and Sparrow Mk2 FAF missiles. Still, they were a blimp compared to the smaller fighters that flew around them in escort patterns as the owl kept her head on a swivel (which was fairly easy to do for an owl).
On the bridge of the AF, Cermina watched the transports disembark for their objective, keeping an eye on the other fighter squadron that was going to monitor the battle happening not too far away.
---
Captain Miren huffed as her squadron kept their distance from the Empire and unknown force's engagement. The glowing orbs of missile strikes and combat filled her view as the fighter wing captain was obviously irritated. She wanted to get into the thick of things, to engage the foes of the Countess and bring honour to her family name, but alas, she was stuck on scouting duty. The red Gargoyle grumbled as she watched in unease, her wing drifting silently around her as she studied the plot in her mind. Her large red wings on her back tensed and fidgeting as her eye caught a glimmer of something in the distance. Looking over, the female beast of the night could see brilliant beads of light as she focused her gaze there. Ships, enemy ships, were heading towards the ARK!
"Well, what do we have here?" she mused, seeing the craft encroaching on the objective her Countess sought, these lesser-creatures had no right to the prize the Countess desired, and Miren would be delighted to lay down her life for her as she spied those advancing Empire ships.
"Such is the tempting offer to bring more blood to the Countess....hrmmm." she licked her lips slowly as she suddenly gunned her engines, her wing both surprised and unsure of their captains movements.
--
"It seems Captain Miren has moved away from her location Countess." A tactical officer spoke "her flight path is taking her on a direct intercept of the Empire's forces."
The plot expanded near the ark where several Empire vessels were approaching, and the lone green dot of the Achelois fighter on a direct course towards them.
"Cyjot, that woman never knowing when to hold her lust for battle. She is lose cannon sometime. Can you keep her weapons locked?"
There was a pause from the tactical officer.
"I cannot, she has overrided it."
"Girl of Clever dah?" Cermina smirked as she rubbed her chin "Let us see what she do, but prepare com channel for me, I will give her words if she does of the stupid. Advise her wing to remain in their current location and monitor; dey at least providing eyes for our forces yah?"
However, Cermina wasn't one to simply let her forces go in unprepared nor underpowered as she tapped a console nearby.

((Gentlemen, I'm sorry for making you wait. I got a little sidetracked, but I assure you that I haven't forgotten about this RP. I thank you for your patience.
Now, sit back and bear witness to the unfathomable power of my 100th post!))
Dante's gaze twisted behind him over his shoulder at his HUD's behest. Alarm klaxxons rang as five... Ten... no, Twenty unknown contacts flittered back and forth through the ether. The tasmanian devil gritted his sharp, predatory teeth and immediately kicked the foot pedals, putting him off his course and into a steep climb above his current position. Even with the inertia dampeners at full power, he felt the g-forces pulling on his body, and putting strain on his legs.
"EVASIVE! NOW!" He grunted into his squad's channel. Bright streaks of rail gun fire traced white lines across his vision as he tried his best to evade the shots. One of the hypersonic slugs winged his mech's shoulder paldrons, sending bright sparks and shards of metal splintering off into space. The devil took cover behind a hefty chunk of rock.
The enemy had hit first. This pissed off the Devil to no end, but he smiled at the idea that he now had to go pay back the bastard that scratched his paintjob. First things first though...
"This is Fullback-1! Get those @#$%ing Eggmobiles into the station, NOW! Fullback Squadron! We're making a stand! Keep them off of our boys!" The red Egg mech broke from cover, it's Mono-eyed visor glowing brightly as Dante brought the targeting icon over the enemy contact that had fired upon him. A ruby spear of laser loosed itself from the Mech's faceplate, cutting through the darkness at light-speed and bearing down on the unknown machine that had dared to turn it's fury upon the Eggman Empire.
__
Meanwhile, energy crackled as beam sword met Beam Saber. Jean-Phillipe had just loosed one of his twin beam sabers from his D.E.R MkII's wing binders, pulling it down in time to parry the enemy suit's attack. Elegantly, he feathered his RCS thrusters, pushing himself slightly back, breaking free from the clash, and twisting to the enemy suit's side, putting distance between the two of them with a burst of his thrusters.
"Tsk tsk. Too greedy, my friend. That will cost you!" The badger smirked under his helmet. He brought the muzzle of his prototype beam caster down onto the profile of the attacking suit and pulled the trigger. A burst of magenta particles at near-light speed sizzled through space at the attacking suit.
__
Spencer smiled politely as he burned his thrusters to dodge enemy fire. The beam rings were interesting to watch. He didn't know how they worked, but they sure were pretty! Shiny white toroidal vortexes of bright energy chased him as the enemy suit fired. Sometimes they caught up to him, but with a puff of his scoot-chutes, he pointed his robot towards the vacant centers of the energy rings and flew through the center of them! Just like in that old video game he used to play when he was a kid! You know, the one with the purple jester dream guy who would fly through the sky? What was that game called again? Ahhh man, he was going to have that in the back of his head for the whole mission.
He ducked behind a piece of space debris, just as one of the beam rings was on him. The debris glowed with red incandescence for a moment before its burned-off bits flaked away, leaving a perfectly circular piece left behind. It actually made for a rather nice target! Spencer put his robot's feet on the circular space junk and gave it a good, hard shove with both legs, sending it towards the enemy suit. Once it was a fair distance away, he shot one of his bazooka rounds at it. He smirked at his own craftsmanship as it exploded into a cloud of shrapnel, heading right for the enemy suit! Remarkably little exploding on either side, which filled him with a bit of remorse. That is, until he turned to look at the Eggmobiles trying to make the final burn towards the hangar array ahead.
That's when he saw them.... A whole FLEET of shiny enemy contacts in the distance! A gleeful squeak escaped the hyena's throat as he made them. The unknowns were trying to make their way to the hangar too! So many of them... So many. Spencer's eyes glazed over for a moment as he kicked his thrusters into full burn and made towards the unknown fleet. He chuckled at first. Then he laughed. Then, as he thumbed a few controls on his console, his laugh grew to a mad cackle.
Spencer's Mark II Robot embedded itself hard on a large piece of space debris as he planted himself. The whole mech seemed to unfold as missile doors on each shoulder, throughout the booster, and in every limb flapped open. A laser target designator traced the heyna's eager eye movements as he glanced at as many of the enemy fighters and transports as he could manage. Each glance rewarded him with a hexagonal target designation as a missile locked onto each target.

They streaked through space on trails of vapor, Their tiny torch-motors pushing them well past the speed of sound as each of the Forty-Four (!!!) missiles snaked towards the fleet of small craft, seeking out their targets like a school of sharks seeking the scent of fresh blood.

As the Dagger's fighters bore down on the Eggman vessel, she responded, her Laser CIWS turrets snapping smartly into the paths of oncoming fighters and slashing at them with lightspeed beams of pure laser radiance. Turrets followed each corrected course as the fighters tried to dodge, sending more and more strobing, pulsing beams sweeping and lashing away at the attacking fighter wings. The carrier was glowing like a 70's Prog Rock concert as she tried to swat the attacking fighters. Better yet, as the carrier's wings spread, more weapons became available. The main guns on her wings swiveled around to point at the Dagger as it fired at the three ships. Four of the carrier's twelve main guns returned fire on the Star Dagger's flickering shields, intent on delivering a harsh concentrated blow to its aft section.
One of the Gunships took a harsh hit to its starboard side. It listed, still battle ready, but three of its eight guns had been disabled by the hit. It carefully corkscrewed, trying to spread the damage and bring its remaining guns to bear on the Dagger. Upon getting into position, it too sent a salvo of five silvery gauss shots at the massive ship, hoping to push the enemy ship's shields beyond their operational limit. The second gunship was busy ducking cannon fire. Only able to get half its guns on target, if fired four more hastily-aimed shots at the enemy ship before trying to duck under the firing arcs of the Dagger's main guns.
"Captain, our Boarding fleet reports its under attack. Fullback is interdicting, but they're going to need support." The coms officer reported. Captain Malaita gave a wave of her hand.
"C2, Launch the fighters now! Send two wings to support our boarding parties, then launch the rest in defense of our fleet ships!" She shouted her order.
"Ma'am, there's.... something else." Sensors spoke up.
"What is it?" The sea snake demanded.
"Sweeps picked up anomalous heat signatures in the area." the officer explained. "Anomalous, as in, Not attached to anything we picked up visually. At first I thought it was a problem with the sensors, but one of them veered off after our boarding party."
The captain hissed through her teeth. "Stealth ships... This just keeps getting more annoying." she muttered. "HELM! Change of course! We're moving to support out boarding party! It'll take the Dagger some time to correct its course and pursue, but at the very least we can pull it into the frenzy with the Moonflower's forces. No point in us hogging this battle!"

Re: The Moondance Incident
The Napir would move to evade the caster attack as the weapon fires. Shredding through the shoulder armor. The armor though durable was not made for an extremely close engagement.
" This one is skilled in close range combat. Switching to Medium range combat"
The Napir raises its pulse rifle shield and starts laying a volley. Unlike the first blast the rings are smaller and staying the same size to prevent enemies from going through them.
"Duke... They went through my rings!" The 2nd Napir pilot responded when he previously Engaged the heavily missiled egg mech and missed entirely. Seeing the debris pushed towards him he does a quick left dash with his thrusters before he was blinded by the explosion of the bazooka that impacted on the debris.
"Remember pilot. Keep the adjustment to focused rings. This is not trying to stun them. This is to eliminate them not to stun. Change your weapon setting to armed and not to stun. Assist the
Chevalier-Sergent. I'll handle the missile boy." The duke responds back.
, As the twenty pods along with the Hippogriff moves to the target the unit spawn multiple missiles towards the group. The transports open the anti-missile laser system and star firing a spread of lasers hoping to take down as many missiles as they could even though they were far from the combat zone the missiles were also targeting them.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Hippogriff moves into close range of the bazooka welding mech. It's rapid fire rail guns and pods open fire towards missiles targeting the unit with the pods acting like a first line shield. 5 pods were lost in the attack, but the remaining 15 managed to stop it before spreading out.
"So you wish to attack my men? Let's see if your ready to fight a master." The pods move in sporadic formation. Firing there lasers targeting the egg mech. During the time Lothar's hippogriff one of the shields on the arm rotates 180 degrees as it protrudes two large blades. A red glow coming from them as they are super heated. It then charges forward. His focus is to attempt to disarm the egg mech. Either by damaging the bazooka beyond repair or literally disarming him.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The missile bombardment would give some few decent hits to the 3 transports. The vehicle is still functional, but the pilots knew they must keep moving and continue to assist the scout forces, The barrage hit the Napr owned by the Chevalier. Unlike the Chevalier-Sergent and the Duke. The pilot was trained well to pilot the machine, but was still new to many engagements. One missile hit the lower left leg, blowing off the foot in the process.
, As for the Chevalier-Sergent. She quickly dashed to the debris field as the missiles hit what remains of a building and a school bus. The Chevalier-Sergent knew her focus was on the one with the beam caster.
" Rookie. Your all right down there? "
" I lost the left foot, but I can still fight. " The Chevalier responded back.
"Focus on the 3rd egg mek... I will focus my attention to the ace with the large gun and beam sword weapons." the Chevalier-Sergent beam saber arm opens once more, as the machine she rains down a volley of the energy rings attempting to damage the mech or remove that gun that hit the shoulder.
(I'll leave silver to respond to the post about the ship coming towards them.)
Re: The Moondance Incident
The situation around the Ark was becoming intense, focusing her attention Cermina Aturaburn gazed over to the battle now erupting between the Empire and her own forces. Miren's attack on the assualting egg-mek that had produce the missile storm against their transports had been a stupid mistake, but it was some grace to the transport pilots that a larger threat was now taken care of as the pilot parryed with the now attacking mek with the same severity the Gargoyle pilot had against her foe as the Achelois danced with the Empire's craft.
Elsewhere, the transports braced for boarding; they had survived the first volley with minimal damage as they ventured forth towards the Ark, close to docking and deploying to assist Lord Lothar in his assault.
"Mistress, we're detecting a larger vessel from the Empire's fleet approaching the convoy. It is on a direct intercept course, seems our interjection has been noticed."
"Hrmph, dey think big ship scare us? Nyet, dey will only have a loss under belt." She smirked as she looked at the plot, seeing the larger ship ebb slowly towards the ark's conflict zone.
"Prepare the Selíni apergía comrades, let us see what happens when dey get involved with Constantine."
--
Anita sighed as the transports drifted towards the Ark steadily, the Brown owl had been worried when the first volley hit that they would take a more considerable loss, but the only damage was done to ship three and it was still serviceable. Ark loomed up ahead as the fighters bank around the transports in an escort pattern, waiting for the oncoming foe to engage once more as klaxons once again wailed. "Damnit, here they come!" Anita shouted as the fighters dispersed, going towards the missiles and unloading their slug-throwers into them, knocking out as many as they could while a good chunk made it past their screen towards the transports. Flares and CIWS came to life as every defense measure flickered to life. Lasers dotted the sky as energy shields bellowed and washed away from the impacts as the transports wailed under fire. Transport 3, the one that had been hit earlier listed once again as several missiles struck her, venting atmosphere before another explosion ripped into her rear. Troops unaware were instantly vaporized as a single mangled exo-suit drifted from the rear before the pressure doors sealed shut. "Casualties." Anita whispered as the numbers read on her plot; twelve dead, one exo suit destroyed "bastards." She muttered as the flak systems and shields rippled back to life to defend the craft, still making a breadline towards Ark as thrusters boosted the vessels faster, making their way towards their designated drop off point and the safety of the arks interior. "ETA 30 seconds!" Anita announced over the coms "Drop your socks and grab your throttles, we're going in hot."
--
Miren glowed with the idea of a personal fight as she soared towards the Mark II that assaulted the transports. When the casualties popped up from the transports coms, the Gargoyle had even more fevour to silence this little creature as her weapon systems gleamed to life.
"The blood of my comrades shall be on your hands, you shall return blood for blood." she barked as her stealth field went down and her fighter craft uploaded onto the unsuspecting robot. Laser banks came to life as blue and green lasers flashed across space while a pair of missiles launch, then a second pair, straight vertical towards the robots top side as the Gargoyle would make a dive towards the attacker. As the first two missiles streaked close, they'd explode, launching a dozen micro-missiles each, barreling towards the attacking meck.
