Intelligence Report:

At 0535 UTC, Egg Army Outpost in [DATA EXPUNGED] intercepted a burst transmission from Space Colony Ark in orbit above United Federation territory. Egg Army installations, both covertly set up in Federation territory and in the far east continent confirmed the same transmission. Though the message was heavily garbled and faded with age, analysis highly suggests that transmission content was related to logs filed by one Gerald Robotnik, possibly in relation to Project Shadow, or the black creatures. [DATA EXPUNGED] is convinced that these are missing logs in relation to chaos energy research that lead to latent chaos powers being encoded into Project Shadow's DNA. As chaos energy research is still a high priority, it is imperative that this data be retrieved before interdiction by G.U.N. or any other non-Eggman affiliated organization.

Because of orbital position, Egg Army outpost in [DATA EXPUNGED] has been given the scramble order to intercept and investigate Ark colony. At 0703 UTC, Ark Colony's course will send it into into Oceanic territory. Orbital interception will occur at 0708 UTC.

Egg Major Markus Kensolve grunted a bit as he slowly felt the strain of escape velocity leaving the Egg Carrier as it powered into the blackness of space. In spite of the old ship's hasty retrofit for space-based operations, it settled into its orbit neatly and without trouble. Peering out the bridge's port windows, the Egg Major could see the distant glow of thrusters as the pair of Mako-Class gunships escorted them to the mission area. The shark-like warships settled into their vectors, pointing themselves towards a growing white mass in the distance. With minimal atmospheric blurring, the wide radiator panels that formed the mustache on the face of the Ark colony were in plain view. The echidna shook his head, and his cybernetic left eye glowed faintly red in response.

At the helm, the purple-colored Egg Pawn tapped a few keys on the console, and with a strange lurch, the ship's artificial gravity was activated. A tone sounded throughout the ship, and every Egg Soldier unlatched their safety harnesses and stepped into the unnatural tug of the artificial gravity. One particular squad of Egg Soldiers immediately started making their way towards the hangar. They shed their red, Eggman-inspired stripes and straps, revealing blue flight suits already zipped, buckled, and prepped. The soldier at the back, a Hyena, yawned and wiped the sleep from his eyes. The other two, a badger and a Tasmanian devil briefly glimpsed back at him before a passing bridge technician tossed the three of them each a sealed packet of something black and viscous. There was a tense moment as the three stared silently at the plastic pouches in hand before the devil spoke up.
"Well Spence, don't just sit there! Bottoms up!" The devil grinned. The hyena laughed nervously as he forced open the thick straw and with a face full of regret, began sipping the freeze-dried space coffee. The other two laughed, and after a moment of hype-up, both guzzled down the inky concoction, physically struggling not to cough it back up.

"Ngekt!" The devil held it down. "Holy shit, space coffee is the worst thing in the world." The devil clapped his hands and peered at his two squad mates. "Alright, no time to cough up our guts, boys. We're on the clock." The devil ushered them into the hangar bay. The doors to the Egg Carrier's hanger parted, revealing badniks and staff floating about in microgravity. Spencer, the hyena, glimpsed over at the sign plastered on the wall warning them of the gradual loss of artificial gravity as they bounded into the hangar and towards their eggmobiles.

((OOC: This RP is open, but I'm going to establish a few things.
1. This RP will take place in space. Respect that. I know most of the Sonic games treat space like its just a fancy background setting, but not in this RP. Spacesuits are required to survive in the vacuum. There is no up or down, and outside of ships and stations, there is no gravity rooting you to a surface.
2. This is supposed to be a small skirmish! Do not bring an entire battle fleet. 2 to 3 medium or small ships max.
3. I'll give about 24 hours for people to check in before we establish a posting order and get the show on the road. People may join after that, but they will be placed at the bottom of posting order.
That is all. Thank you.))

8,900 miles away from the Station A large warhip with two escort Corvettes float in the vastness of Space. The side of the larger ship has a word 'Konstantin'. The ship looked like a large Metallic Flower with 4 large metallic pedal like shapes enclosing the ship. Ready to open and bloom to show the true form of the vessel. The corvettes Shaped like two large mechanic Stingrays with 4 mechanized legs. Two on the top two on the bottom with each side of the ship sporting a long barreled particle Cannon guarding the larger ship from any attacks. Inside the larger ship crew members work there daily posts. Keeping things in tip top shape. ON the bridge a Robian Bird stand in the middle observing all the crew performing checks “ I must say the Countess has done a well job keeping everyone in line, if she keeps this up....”

,Before he can complete his sentence a Human female in a Grey uniform turn to the robian bird “ Duke Lothar We are receiving a strange message throughout of all communication lines. I will broadcast it on the bridge's PA system. “

After spending time listening to the message the Duke nods his head and walks over to the Radio Operator

“ Notify Countess Aturaburn And order our escort ships to prepare, If this is true. That Ark may have mysteries. Even lost technology that will benefit the CommonWealth. Prepare my Hippogriff For Launch. “

“ Yes Duke” the radio operator quickly turns to her station as the PA chimes in the commands the crew move to there battle stations and engineering move a 10 meter tall humanoid Mecha with a Large Bird Head into Bay 4 to load it onto a large transport fighter made to carry the machine.

The Moondance Incident Empty Re: The Moondance Incident

Cermina stood in the commander center of the structure, the vast network of information around the structure transmitted to each technician surrounding the female draconian as visuals of space and all around the ship filled the room. The large black and red scaled wingless dragon stood tall among her peers, shy of seven feet tall, the large muscular woman looked onward over her charging as she gave a soft huff of concern. Dressed in her green great coat and command hat, she watched the display of the Ark before them.
A beeping across the display showed an incoming message as Cermina hrmmed.
"So we are close yah, keep all scanners and systems on passive, let us not look like threat until we are target, den we hope dey are ready to fight." she snorted softly "have everyone prepare, dey shall be giving us the wagon of welcoming soon enough."

The darkness of the mechanical shell wrapped around the Tasmanian Devil was broken only by the illuminated instrument panel of his egg mobile. He shifted in his seat a little as he got a feel for the atmospherically sealed pilot suit he was wearing. With the press of a few buttons, the shell that had been wrapped around his egg mobile rattled to life.

REACTOR: ONLINE
SENSORS: ONLINE
WEAPONS: ONLINE
ALL SYSTEMS NOMINAL

A high-definition holographic projection flashed to life over the glass dome of the Egg Mobile. Satisfied with the results, the pilot opened the radio com and began peering at the diagnostic projected onto the user interface around him.

"This is Fullback-1, Dante Sellis doing pre-flight checks." He tugged on a few of the controls. Behind him, the thrusters on the back of his Death Egg Mecha flared and contracted as he tested the flight systems. Beside him in the hangar, his two squad members tested their own rides; a pair of Mark Two Death Egg Mecha went through similar tests, ensuring that there would be no problems mid mission.

"This is Fullback-2, Jean-Phillipe Marquette reporting all green." On Dante's Hud, the icon of the badger flashed on his IFF position indicator. His mecha was loaded with some sort of wing-like projections folded into the back. Technicians were already loading his rig with a large handheld laser weapon.

"This is Fullback-3, Spencer Vick! Are we done yet? Can we go?" The hyena's icon came up on the IFF position locator. His mecha had been fitted with some sort of booster that equipped it with a ridiculous amount of missile ordinance. In fact, much of Spencer's rig had been modified to carry as many missiles as they could reasonably cram onto the machine. This didn't surprise Dante in the least. Spencer loved to have as many explosives as he could for a fight.

"Command, this is Fullback squad, We are ready to launch. Standing by."

-------------------

"Captain, we've got something on scanners. We're not alone." The egg soldier at the console tapped the icon and began furiously typing, bringing up a diagnostic. Major Kensolve yielded to the ship's captain as she inquired more from her bridge staff.

"G.U.N.?" the sea-snake inquired.

"If it is, they aren't ships that I've seen before." the nameless staffer responded.

"This could get interesting." she replied bluntly, before turning to the echidna at the back of the bridge. "Kensolve, those are your men out there. It's your call."

"We're not backing down from this. There's too much riding on it." he folded his hands behind his back as he moved into a good viewing position on the bridge. "The order is to launch."

The Moondance Incident Empty Re: The Moondance Incident

Post by The Red Blur Sun Aug 28, 2016 12:11 am

((ooh, seems like a good time to debut a new character of mine, as well as Caen (because he's my main, after all), let's see how this turns out!))

The heavy, pneumatic doors hissed as they shut behind two figures, wearing white spacesuits, with large spherical helmets covering their faces. The two walked- well, floated- through the room, until they were in an area where one of them was assured that air was now being supplied. The same figure reached up to his head, taking off the helmet, revealing a red hedgehog, with deep blue eyes. His spines were partially tucked behind his back in the rather odd-feeling suit. He shook his head, muttering "that was one hell of a journey up here," before continuing on.

Caen was stood inside of a large carrier, owned by the military, known as the Guardians of the United Nations, otherwise known as G.U.N. He came to a large room, filled with people floating around, looking at computer monitors, and tapping away at keyboards attached to consoles in the room. Soon, one Mobian at a computer looked over at Caen's companion, and nodded. He lay a hand on Caen's shoulder "better brace yourself. They're turning the gravity on."
"Wait, gravity? WOAH!" Caen was surprised to find himself dropping a few inches and seemingly attaching to the ground, along with everyone else in the room.

When Caen's had adjusted to this new feeling of artificial gravity, he looked around, and saw, through a window pane, the vast blackness of space. In the very middle, he saw a blue sphere floating in the endless void. Mobius. "I... This is so cool!" He said, running up to the window and pressing himself to it.
"We're not here to sightsee," the Mobian behind Caen spoke "agent Raito requested your assistance with an odd energy spike coming from the space colony ARK. We only allowed her to contact you after noting your recent activities, and we believe you to be capable, should you have to engage enemies."
"Yeah, yeah. I know why I'm here." Caen replied, pulling himself away from the view, and following the Mobian out of the room, through another pneumatic door.

The next room was a massive hangar, with ships many times larger than Caen standing in neat rows, all kinds of models, painted with different colours. Each ship had a number painted in bright white on the back, counting up to number 5 before starting again on a different variety of ship. Nobody seemed to be getting ready to fly, however, several of the ships had humans and Mobians with all kinds of tools, fixing dents, welding holes shut, and the like.

Near the back of the room, a female fox stood in a spacesuit very similar to Caen's. Her fur was a bright white, with an equally white muzzle. A small amount of hair, that had light grey tips, partially covered her right eye. She was chatting with an engineer who seemed to be running maintenance tests on a sleek, red ship next to the pair. She stopped her conversation, and looked over at Caen as he approached "well, look who it is! Heya, Risky!" She shouted over to the hedgehog, waving,
"Been a while, Rai. How've you been?" Caen called back, soon being near enough to have a conversation without raising their voices.
"Nothing amazing, same old stuff as per usually, catching some crooks, the usual stuff, but the stuff I've heard about you! Exorcising demons, looking into potential terrorist activity... I don't know why you don't become an agent here."
"You and I both know that's not how I roll. Maybe someday, though," he looked over at the ships, scanning his eyes over the perfect paint jobs, and sleek plates of metal joined with extreme precision. "So, what did you need me to go all the way to space for?" He asked, looking back over at Raito.
"Well, you know about the energy signatures coming from the ARK. I've asked for backup so many times, but people are always doing other assignments. So, you and I are going to scout the area," she leaned against the ship beside her "say hello to the crimson hawk. These babies'll carry us there in no time."
He widened his eyes "I'm flying one of these?"
"you'll be fine. The controls are easy, trust me."
A drop of sweat rolled down Caen's head out of nervousness. He knew what he was coming for, but didn't realise he'd have to learn new technology so quickly. He hoped that Raito was correct in what she said.

Raito walked over to the front of one of the ships and flicked a small switch on the ship, making the cockpit open. After placing her spacesuit's helmet back on, and ensured that it was locked in place, she climbed up and sat in the small seat, pulling down the frame of metal and glass down around her. Caen followed suit, grunting as he climbed up the side of the ship with far less grace than Raito. As he pulled the cockpit's door down, the controls in front of him flickered to life, glowing a bright cyan colour. He could hear a voice echo through his helmet "Hey, Caen? Can you hear me?"
"Loud and clear," Caen replied, looking at the daunting array of controls in front of him, with a small steering wheel in the middle.
"Good. Now, you see the small lever next to the wheel? Move that uo to adjust the throttle. Pull the wheel toward you to pitch upwards, and push it forwards to pitch it down. Everything else should be pretty obvious." She explained to Caen. At this point, Caen noticed that a lot of the controls did have faint labels painted on the brightly lit buttons. He chuckled "this'll be fun," he muttered.

((I know it's not the greatest writing in the world, but hopefully that's a decent enough introduction. Is everyone okay with this?))

@Jaredthefox92: Not just Egg Army forces if you don't want to. Any organization that would have access to space and might benefit from stealing some research from ARK. Just obey the ground rules laid in the first post and bear in mind this is just supposed to be a small operation without people anticipating a huge exchange, so keep your forces small. You will also probably be posting after The Red Blur next round.

In the Fortress ship Lothar grabs a hold of a mobile handrail used in low gravity parts of the ship for quick travel to the Hanger, Which three Artemis Support Transports. Large transport craft with the engines attached to each wing allowing 360 degrees of tiltrotor functionality. It may be a large vessel, but with it side rapid fire Particle beam cannons and internal missile package it can fight well against enemy craft. The cargo hold is large enough to carry one Cuirassier unit into battle and any field repairs inside the hull. The pilot area seats two pilots each on different sides to each other, The pilots lay down and control the craft using a though controlled interface. And the separation of the two allows the craft to still operate if one is killed in battle. The two pilots wear a special suit to allow them to connect to the thought wave network.

The 3 craft are loading up one 10 meter tall Cuirassier while the other two are loading up two 8 meter tall units, The smaller units are Solider class Napir Cuirassier. A weird looking unit with its shield also acting as it's firearm Each carrying a pulse Rifle that shoots destructive energy rings in a rapid fire state to cause damage to enemy units. ON the left arm a hidden Beam saber is inside the arm, which in battle the lower part of the arm opens letting the beam expose itself cutting through enemies that oppose it. The pilots wearing specially designed pilot suits to allow them to escape there unit if damaged beyond repair. Each machine once the pilot hops into the cockpit the unit is loaded into the transport and moves to special railguns made to launch anything into battle.

The Duke then takes a hop towards the opened cockpit of his personal commander Cuirassier the Hippogriff. Upon getting into the cockpit. The hatch seals. Once the Hatch seals the back of the headrest opens and reveals 4 wires which connect to neck interfaces on the Duke. Lothar has a minor twitch before it stops three seconds later. With only his robotizied mind he moves the arms and legs of the ten meter monster he was in before a screen shows up with the words in green

MAIN SYSTEM... ENGAGING COMBAT MODE!

The Hippogriff is custom made for Lothar's battle style Each shield on each side sports rapid fire rail guns that fire small slugs like a machine gun. Each shield sporting 5 each. On the back end of the shields are port openings to open for two heat blades on each shield allowing cleaving into enemy units and defend from beam based melee weapons. The shields are attached to each arm with a turret with the speed to turn for Lothar to use the weapons at any time from the front or the back. The back of the Unit houses 20 individual Orbital Funnels controlled by Lothar's mind and act as an individual machine firing small particle beams. With the 20 moving like there part of a hive mentality they can do damage to forces as a group.

In case the shields are lost the legs house Beam sabers that will pop from hatches on each side of the upper leg and attach to the arms lower forearm quickly.

The armor on the commander unit is the CommonWealth's Selendium, a material produced on the Moon. A metal that is strong, lightweight and more durable than anyone from the Earth. Projectile weapons could only scratch the alloy and some explosive weapons cannot do much damage, but due to the metal fabrication time only Cuirassier Commanders and the ship they are on the Assault Fortresses are given this metal. While transports, the corvettes, and other units in the commonwealth are given Nano Laminated Armor. It is stronger than each metals, but only make it that vehicle and mek weapons cannot score decisive hits, but the armor shaves off over time and the weapons when there in short or close range can do normal damage to the armor.

" This Is the Duke. I will be leading this first Patrol. The Countess will continue her command. I am only hear as a observer and a Soldier. Let's see how Countess Aturaburn do well in this operation."

With that the transports launch into space each carrying there precious Cargo on board.

The radio goes off in Lothar's comm unit

" Duke. Please be Advise. Our radar has detected three fleets. Two look like Empire and G.U.N. forces. The third. We have no match from any of our data our covert agents on the mother planet have given us. "

" Understood. Relay the Message to the Countess while I continue our patrol." The duke switches his comms back to the patrol Team " Deploy near that debris and we will start our scout. Tranports take cover using the debris field and be prepare to act on the situation if problems occur"

"YES DUKE!" The team responds as the transports open there bottom hatches and detaches the 3 Cuirassiers. The meks fly off into the debris field dodging the remains of the colony and space junk as they move into position, The transports moving in to hide in the larger debris and await orders. Moving to minimal power to lower there heat signatures.

The Moondance Incident Empty Re: The Moondance Incident

Post by Wulfofsilver Sun Aug 28, 2016 3:56 pm

Despite the commotion that was about to rupture the silence of space, the bridge of the Assault Fortress drifted silently on its course towards the Ark-station, its missing still unknown as the large drakess sat at the command chair of the expansive command deck. Technicians tapped at their control terminals silently, holographic displays portrayed on metal platforms reacted to the gloved touch of each of the bridges control crew. Cermina Aturaburn however sat without such a device, her large command chair in perfect view of the wide-area command screen as she watched the plot displayed on it. Increasing numbers of red dots surrounded the Ark station, GUN, Empire, and third unknown types had begun to launch towards the derelict station.

Crimson eyes scanned the display as Mistress Cermina Aturaburn tapped a control on her arm rest, another holographic display popped up before her, showing she had a message from Lothar. Opening it, she read his report and gave a chuckle, tapping a series of buttons to submit her approval response to investigate and patrol the sector.
"Keep means of conflict low comrade, we want to make dis like old ways; let dem fire first shot, more reason for us to kill dem if dey do." She looked at the screen roster of the deployed vessels under Lothar's command, depicting the unit as Fleet Alpha on the chart, giving each symbol an 'A' atop their icon.
"Keep yourself prepared comrade, we cannot hope they are weaklings if dey are after same thing, I shall monitor advance, but be of the careful comrade, we know not of dere weapon capabilities." She tapped the channel to look at the map of the area as the Star-fortress slowly ventured towards the Ark unopposed...for now.

The Assault Fortress was an exceptional piece of moon technology; far away from the spawn of Mother Planet, the Assault Fortress had been produce within the grandiose shipyards of the Lunar surface. Unhindered by the same gravity aspects as the surface dwellers, construction of martian vessels took on a whole new method of production; and the Assault Fortress was one such achievement to the extreme. A mobile fortress, the AF was capable of inter-system travel, slower than most other vessels, it made up for its lack of speed with sheer firepower and Armour many layers thicker than even the largest battleship. Batteries of long ranger laser-weapons, missile bays, and plasma weapons littered the hull, hidden beneath the sleek, rounded exterior inside internal bays, ready to be deployed when threatened. Perhaps the most devastating of these weapons were the Trinity Alune Missiles, a mult-warheaded smart-missile that could track a target, and with special programming to identify between fighters and capital ships,  launch either a triple warhead cluster for faster objects, or slam its entire warhead into the hull of a frigate or larger ship. Four Astral Lancer Railguns acted as the second strongest weapon system on the fortress, capable of throwing a solid lump of tungsten beyond the speed of sound to great distance made accurate ship-killing weapons, each cannon held a place around the mid second, covering a directional ark, forward, back and both sides. Smaller weapons such as point defense systems, long range lasers, plasma cannons and standard missiles/torpedo, the Star fortress was a force to be reckoned with.

Within the fortress, hanger bays for vessels ranging from fighters to capital class sizes could be constructed, stored, repaired and deployed on a moments notice; most of the fabrication and armament were automated and continuously monitored by slave AI's to the station. Saving the space with automation, the crew were able to live in greater comfort in the upper echelons of the star fortress whole the lower segments held most of the fabrication and docking locations. With a crew of roughly 2,500 including combat, the Star Fortress could operate for years on its own; replicators and fabricators supply all the requirements a crew could need as well as offer substantial facilities to keep the two thousand, five hundred strong crew in peak condition and proper mental capacity.

On the bridge, Cermina sighed as she withdrew a flask from her coat, popping the top, she'd drink back the Lunar alcoholic drink, huffing with a delightful puff of response to the sharp tasting brew.

The Moondance Incident Empty Re: The Moondance Incident

Post by Storm Wave Mon Aug 29, 2016 9:23 am

"New contact, ma'am! Confirmed G.U.N. craft in vicinity of operations area and closing!"

"New Unknown contact at bearing -355, deploying craft! First Unknown is also deploying!"

"MULTIPLE-ENEMY-SIGNATURES-DETECTED. APPROACHING-ENGAGEMENT-ENVELOPE. THIS-UNIT-AWAITS-YOUR-INPUTS, CAPTAIN-MALAITA."

All at once, the Eggman ships were no longer alone. No mission was without its snags, but to have this many snags all at once was unprecedented. Captain Malaita's eyes narrowed venomously at the tactical display before her, speckled with red enemy, and blue unknown/neutral contacts. She could feel the emotionless, cybernetic eye of the Egg Major boring into her from behind. She barely even turned to glimpse at him as she gave her orders.

"Battlestations!" She hissed. "Prep for engagement and prepare to cover our forces approaching the Ark! If any of those craft get within fifty kilometers of the colony or our troops, I want them blasted to dust!" The captain stood up in her seat, letting her commanding presence wash over the bridge crew. Though she was slender, her elapidian body put her at least a head higher than most Mobians, and her naturally predatory gaze was more than enough to give pause to even the largest of her peers. All, except Egg Major Kensolve, it would seem. She caught his glare out of the corner of her eye. His expression was neither aggrandizing nor admonishing. No, it was more like... appraising. The older echidna was watching the snake with some sort of critical interest, as if he was judging her performance. For a brief moment, Captain Malaita felt like the fish that had drawn the attention of a shark. She quickly brushed the notion off and pulled the brim of her peaked cap down over here eyes.

"Comms, tell the retrieval team they need to get on-station and after the data ASAP. Relay them the navigational data. We're probably going to let Kensolve's boys off their leashes soon, and I want to be sure we have a head start on getting those files."

----------

Egg Mobiles glinted through space as small glittering dots. Behind them, a pair of Big Arms units kept rear guard. Ahead in a wide, upward V-formation, three large sets of vernier thrusters lit the path towards Space Colony Ark. They kept tight formation, except for one, which seemed to be.. dancing gleefully in the microgravity.

"Oh boy oh boy oh boy OH BOY!" The Mark II Death Egg Robot, strapped with a large booster backpack and clutching an oversized bazooka, twirled in a near flawlessly-executed aileron roll, RCS thrusters puffing happily as it spun through space. Inside the cockpit, the radio clicked and buzzed as the squad leader delivered his reprimand.

"SPENCE! Quit @#%!ing around! We're in Indian country!" Dante barked over the comms channel.

"I know! Isn't it great!" The hyena gleefully replied as he maneuvered the large mech to face his squad leader. "Enemy contacts! And I was worried I wouldn't get to shoot something today!" A scoff came from the other end of the line as Jean-Phillipe cut in.

"Of course. Just make sure you're firing at them and not us." The badger shifted the controls and brought the scope of his laser weapon to the robot's glittering optical sensors. "They threw a lot of prototype equipment our way, and I'd rather not have the damages come out of our mission payment."

"Tch!" Dante scoffed. "Bastard's better pay us. There wasn't this much hazard involved when we took the damned mission anyway." He turned the red mono-eyed visor of his Death Egg robot towards the direction of the enemy contacts ahead. Some sort of vaguely defined ship drifted in the distance. The devil tried his best to get the sensors to zoom in further, but the target identification computer was still just as puzzled as they were. Just what the hell were they facing anyway? A squawk over the radio wrestled him from his thoughts.

"Hey! Keep this channel clear!" The comms officer barked from the ship behind. "We're relaying you the navigational data for the mission. From this point onward, only use the radio for essential communications. Idle chatter will not be tolerated!"

Dante shrugged to himself before issuing his response. "This is fullback-1, aknowledging." He killed the radio feed
"You tight-ass!" he muttered to himself. Relay points flickered to life on his heads-up display. Before them, the petal-like radiators of the Ark spread wide. The computer flashed a bright red warning about approaching debris as the formation grew closer to the half-destroyed colony. The devil tilted his head, cracking his neck under his helmet as they drew closer to their objective. "Command, this is Fullback-1. We are approaching waypoint marker. Entering mission area."

The Moondance Incident Empty Re: The Moondance Incident

Halfway through the Debris field of the Ark The AI on Lothar Machine detects the units coming off the radar and responds with

" Enemy units detected to the Northwest... Number of targets... three."

The three Cuirassiers land on what remains of a 1st Generation G.U.N ship.

" It seems that the Empire is already moving its troops towards the Ark. For now we must use the Debris field as Cover and only strike when we need to." Lothar pauses after his order as one of the Artemis transports comms in.

"Duke. We are giving you the latest information on the Debris field. This will allow you to move in to the Ark with high speed, low drag. Hopefully this path gets you to the Ark first."

The Cockpit's Dome monitor will change from the outside view to the map the Transport crews has devised.

"We received the Information. Continue monitoring the Radar and notify us about the GUN fighter we detected and that Unknown Ship heading into the Mission Area" With that message the 3 meks engage there thrusters and take the route.

On there route the Debris field is made up of various rocks that separated from the ARK decades ago Along with remains of generation 1 G.U.N guard robots and debris that were broken off from the main structure. The 3 units fly through what looks like the remains of a docking bay with a large hole big enough for the Cuirassiers to fit through and observe. The outside view shows the ark Was close, but still far for them. One of the Napir cockpit's open for the pilot to move towards an observation deck. Switching on the Image enhancement system to allow him to zoom in like he was using binoculars.

" We are Near the colony Duke, but I see those Empire machines moving as fast as possible. Each with their own different arsenel of weapons. " After his check he returns to the cockpit and closes the hatch.

" Remember. We are letting the enemy make the first move. Keep yourself out of sight ,but prepare to engage if they see you. " Lothar notifies the scout team as they activate the weapons of there large robots and lies in wait.

Meanwhile, on the Assault fortress. On Deck 2 Two Dropships are preping for boarding the ARK when ordered. Each ship has teams of twelve soldiers. 10 are Infantry wearing a fully sealed suit of combat armor, While the last two on each team is in a Power Armor Suit. As of the moment the dropships are loading up the power armor the infantry are checking there weapons and stay on stand by inside the dropships. Waiting for the order to move into the station at a moment's notice.

The Moondance Incident Empty Re: The Moondance Incident

Cermina t'sked as she studied the plot's changing colors. The red encroaching everywhere around the station, and their troops still not fully prepared for boarding actions. The AS was still too far away to be considered a combat asset just yet as she watched the images displayed from her forces Helmet cameras mounted on each robots hull. Intent on seeing every inch of what they were seeking and the enemies movements. Knowing what their 'prey' may do if they begin a shoot out and how to react; being so far away upset the Mistress, unlike her comrade Duke, she had to sit and wait, her own arsenal far too powerful to be any use when trying to salvage the derelict station before them as the Ark glinted off the sun just behind their fortress, casing a glow along the rim and illuminating the edges of the station; the Assault fortress's own silhouette eclipsing along the Arks outer hull.

"Keep maneuvers close comrades, watch corners and keep together. Don't want of the mistakes happening with prize so close." she ordered through the coms, watching the crew load into the drop ships as the hanger's were cleared. "I want drop ships on standby, and prep the fighters of space, I want our drop ships to be escorted, get one wing ready for patrol around the fortress just to be sure."

Klaxons wailed in the lower reaches of the Constantine as several Achelois class fighters slowly slid across rails along the lower hangers, not too far below the waiting, prepping dropships above as pilots quickly gathered their equipment and rushed to their fighters cockpit., the fighters needing only a partial amount of space to prep and ready as automated arms attach munitions to internal bays they boosted their brilliant engines and took off. The "Coffin System", a method of flight with the use of just the pilots mind to fly a craft without the need for clunky controls and a response almost several times faster as the pilots literally went into a subconscious state to connect on a deeper level with the very craft they sat in; merging with it and making it a very extension of their body. With a rush of blue trails, a wing of seven launched from their berths into the cold depths of space before pulling around and flying about; patrolling the Fortress's perimeter slowly, watching the universe around their home as several more wings were readying for the call to be launched when the boarding attack was given the green by the initial patrol team.

"Keep cool comrades, let us wait and see what the other side does here."

The Moondance Incident Empty Re: The Moondance Incident

((yeah, I'll get on it later. I'll update this post. Sorry for the wait Razz))

(EDIT:here we are. Still probably not the best writing, but it should improve soon. I'm never good with beginnings Razz)

All people-human and Mobian alike- moved away from the rest of the ships with great speed, as a loud alarm sounded. As soon as the last person left the area, a large airlock opened in front of Caen and Raito, showing them the seemingly endless black depths, with balls of white light sprinkled here and there.

Caen just sat there, staring in awe. Every single time he saw the space that surrounded everyone on the station, his breath was simply taken away.
"Caen, we'll have plenty of time for that once the mission is complete," Raito spoke through the radio.
Caen shook his head "right you are, " he reached forwards, pulling a small lever upwards slowly. Blue light began to fill the thrusters on the back of his ship as it slowly, but surely, drifted towards space.
Raito was a bit more... Heavy handed in her approach, lifting the lever much faster, and practically taking off at full speed. Caen shook his head "and people call me reckless,"

"what's wrong, Risky? Afraid of crashing?" Raito taunted, laughing rather loudly, almost in an obnoxious fashion.

"n-no! Not at all!" Caen replied, stuttering slightly. He moved the lever further upwards, struggling to keep control on the vehicle as it left the station. The entire ship rocked upwards and downwards as Caen got used to the odd handling. A laugh could be heard from over the radio.

"Havin' a little trouble, there?" Raito asked as she turned around and pulled up beside Caen. "Look, you gotta make tiny adjustments, like-"

Raito was cut off when something new appeared on her radar. "We got company. Most likely the Egg army. You need to get good, quick. The lock-on for these ships won't work if you're shaking that much."
"R-right. I... Think I have the hang of it, now." Caen said, laying his thumbs on the the top of the handles fixed to the steering. The buttons that were situated there had the words "cannon" and "missile" printed on them. Each of these buttons would either the two particle cannons attached to the underside of the ship, or the missile launchers attached to the sides of the ship. Not the most offensively capable ship available, yes, however, these ships were built for speed, so Raito hoped that they could slip past any potential hostiles and go straight onto the ARK.

"Right. Let's go," Caen said, turning up the throttle to near full-speed. This sense of speed made the hedgehog crack a smile. Raito trailed along behind him, scanning the black depths for any of the potential foes dead ahead.
