She wasn't actively malicious, she just avoided relationships and didn't really say much about herself. Made one wonder why she got herself inside such a thick shell.

She never saw a beam of energy like that, but it did shine brightly, which meant it had some light in it. By holding out her arm, she partially absorbed it, leaving behind a transparent, black husk.

"Hmph. Didn't think that would work."

Liela walked back to the room and laid on the bed. Or rather levitated above the bed since sge couldn't touch it. She looked up at the ceiling. She was thinking of ways to convince that hawk she was the real deal. Lillith in the other hand, stayed on the balcony. "Master, she is sleeping. Can I eat her soul now?"

She finds her downstairs, laying on the couch, reading a book. She gives Lillith one annoyed look and then keeps on reading.

Ayah showed her the cover of the book. It simply read 'THIEF.' "Not the best book I've ever read," she said. "But I can relate to it."

Ayah put down the book and begun speaking. "I was on a routine mission, easy stuff," she started. "All we had to do was to steal the shipment log and get out of there. What we didn't know was that the place was rigged to self-destruct. The entire complex came down on our heads..."
