Haunted & Hunted

"No he's with me..." Liela said softly. "What even is that thing? I have never seen it before!" 

Azzar took a closer look at the tempest, scanning it from each and every angle. It didn't mind at all.

"Heard of lightning mages, the folks that can ruin people's days by making it rain?" Azzar asked and pointed at her. "This is what happens when you want more power and are willing to become one with an elemental. The union is, well, this." Of course, the ruining-people-days was a joke, as saying lighting twice in a sentebce would be redundant. Most people would still put two and two together.

"I don't ruin people's days." And the poor think took the bait, sounding for once like it actually cared.

" Then what is it that you do if it isnt ruining people's days?" Lillith started to rub Liela's back. Liela looked like she was about to cry. " Lillith..  please d-dont"

"I-I follow orders," the tempest said. "Making the world a better place, one dead monstrousity at a time." Oh, the irony. Then again, from a technical standpoint, all of them were monsters. Some more, some less.

"Make the world a better place... PFFT!!!" Lillith stopped rubing Liela's back and started to laugh falling to the floor."HA HA!!!"

The tempest was offended, but said nothing, figuring that anything else could also be used against it. It just stopped floating slightly above the ground and sat down, making its tiny legs even more noticeable. Beside it also sat the plant pot with the rod planted inside, in case she needed to let off excess eletricity that wss constantly building up inside it.

"I don't understand why this is funny," Azzar proclaimed. "You asked and it answered, even if the answer was very pathetic."

"Then I guess I'll just do my best helping my summoner," the tempest proclaimed. "Although I have go admit, I have no idea how. I'm no healer." Maggie searched Liela for the book.

"Then we'll just summon one," she said. "Big deal."

She quickly found a healer in the section with mages. Summon words were simple and the healer itself wore a white dress and a tiara, a stereotypical attire of a healer.

Maggie didn't even have to say anything; the healer knew exactly what to do and who to heal. She didn't even ask why there was a voidling, two demons and a lamia in the same room.

"Eh, I've seen weirder," She thought to herself.

Liela got up slowly. When she didn't feel pain she had a smile on her face." Oh thank you so much. I owe you on-are you wearing a tiara?" " She is and it's glorious!" Lillith was trying her best not to laugh.

When the healer finished what she was doing, she desummoned herself. "Well, that's a change," Maggie said. "Very effecient."

Tap. Tap. Tap.

"Maybe we should have told her to stay."

"Does this mean we'll continue where we left off?" Maggie asked, hoping Liela would help them take the book.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

"Absolutely not." Kit then turned her phone to the tempest. "Please open a portal and get us back to the house."

The tempest stood up and did just that.

"Oh please master!!! We had such a hard time getting this far!" Lillith was lying about the hard part but she really did want to convince Liela." Really?" " Yeah totally! Do you want all our efforts to be in vain?" Liela looked like she was thinking about it. Lillith was making signals to the others to help her.

"How about we vote?" Maggie asked and hold her arm up high. Azzar lifted his sleeve and so did the Devil. The tempest waited for Liela's output and she would then respond accordingly.

Lillith raised her hand. Liela looked around the room. "Hey, where is the voidwalker?" " Shebleft." Lillith looked nervous." Well OK sure butbif I see anyone get hurt we are leaving."

The next room was full of cobwebs and spider eggs. "Highly flamable," the Devil noted. "Just give the word and I'll make short work of all of this." Maggie wasn't comfortable with any of this, as the eggs and webs look far too big to be of those of reguar spiders.

Eyes that started staring at them from the ceiling only reinforced her fears.

"I don't think we should destroy the eggs.Judging by those eyes, it might belong to someone." Liela phased her hand through the webs. "Yeah we could just walkthrough without burning anything."

Around midway through the room, big spiders descended from the ceilling. They didn't attack them, but could still easily pounce them.

"Did I ever tell anyone that I'm scared of spiders?" Maggie said. "Well, I am." The spiders moved closer and she squirmed.

"What's wrong with spiders? They make the best traps and art." "Well let's just hope we don't get trapped. " liela said that looking a little scared.

Then, the room came to a sudden dead end. A large mass of webs and spider eggs was in the way. The devil responded by preparing a fireball and the spiders coiled in terror.

"Of course... Guess we don't have a choice now." "Shame. They are not going to like this." Lillith backed up keeping distance from the spiders.

Before the Devil could incinerate the biomass, an unusual spider crawled out of it. It had the lower body of a black widow with a red hourglassnon on its abdomen and the upper body of a woman. In addition, it had three pairs of thin, segmented arms and compound eyes.

It wasn't very happy to see them.

"OH MY GOSH YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!" Lillith went closer to the stranger. Liela reluctantly walked over to her." Oh hello there... I know you are mad but is there a way you could give us a space to walk through? "
