Glimmer Foxes

The Glimmer Foxes are a silver-furred species of fox which fur glimmers and shines in the moonlight. Typically they have blue eyes, rarely seen with any other coloured eyes.

It is unknown where this species came from, nor why their fur reacts with the moonlight. They lived in large clans in hidden areas of the world. Mountain towns to cave villages to hidden grottos in the mass forests. Out of site. The Glimmers were known for being great users of magic. They gather their power from moonlight and are able to do great things with them. They could defend themselves, forming shields of pure energy, they could create projectiles and use them against their enemies, and could even heal those around them.

It is rumored in their culture that once, there was a time when their powers were so strong that they were able to change their forms, grow more tails, sprout horns, and in some cases even wings, or even just shape shift to alter their appearance completely. This brought about the idea that they were a sub-species of Kitsune, but it was found that they are not..

Nowadays, the Glimmers rend to be unaware of their history, myths and in some cases, powers, as generation after generation they began to drift away from the clan life and moved to cities amongst the regulars of the world. Magic is rarely practiced now, and the secrets of the Glimmer's strange reaction to moonlight was never discovered.
