Just an Update from myself.

Gonna start of by saying this is something I've wanted to talk about for a very long time but have never felt bothered enough to do it.

But here it is, to me, Roleplay on my part is dead. I've pretty much given up, Its extremely rare to completely impossible for me to even get a decent RP. Now I'm not calling myself a great RPer because I know for a fact that I'm not that good. But the fact remains that I have no motivation anymore. I don't wanna come to a RP place and not experience any fun or involvement in a good Roleplay. Thats not to say I'll be leaving but since this is only the ??? section where anyone can speak I just wanted to rant about this.


I've become tired and bored mostly. I haven't had fun in an RP in probably a year or so now. Although I usually remain simple in RP its hard for me to even find enjoyment out of the rare RP I do here, I'm please, nobody take offense to this, I am not singling anybody out as a bad RPer, I'm meerly stating that I have lost my drive and sense of fun.

I'm surprised I am the first to reply to this.

Let me start by saying that I can somewhat relate to this from my experiences with other hobbies.

SRN isn't exactly overflowing with Rp-related activity, so the scarcity is probably subconsciously forcing you to try and enjoy the RPs you can get into. This happens with a lot of hobbies, and after a while it tends to make them feel more like work than play. :c

I'm probably just stating the obvious here (blame the Adderall for that), but I more or less just wanted to say that your apathy is justifiable.

Here's hoping you find your RP spark again! 

Oh, goodie. That's something I've experienced before too, Punk. In fact I rarely ever have an RPing "spark" anymore, to call it that.

It's nice to have the occasional RP, but sometimes I just can't get in the mood. At all.

Unlike you, however, I usually consider myself as a much more serious RPer. The average roleplay I see is cringeworthingly unserious, and in general matches Sonic Colours levels when it comes to that.

There are scarce amounts of actual RPs that I find... okay.

Regarding roleplaying in general, I remember back when the site was starting to grow, when you could make a horrible character, recolor everything and get a beautiful roleplay from it all, and develop, in a nice little comfortable group. I remember when Darkness was a hedgehog; when he was feared by everyone. I remember when Sam was a tails recolour; when he met May and all this jazz. Y'know, the nostalgic crap. Hahah, even Mobius High was a hit. Everything was. There wasn't a single roleplay on the chatbox, it was all on the forum.

I'll have to agree with Punk on this, I really only come here now because I've been registered for so long really, just a habit. I do enjoy the company, which is why I guess I do come on.

But to second what Punk is saying, I find it hard to come up with good ideas and overall just ENJOY RPing.
