Love challenge: Tobias "Frost" chameleon

"Hope is a good thing to have, but action sets your dreams in motion. If you want them to live find a way to free them, others aren't so lucky to have some kind of chance like that.'' She Stated.

Frost shook his head. "The crystal is living. If I try to get even my baby sister it would take me as well. The only thing that will free them now is time." He looked to her. "Mishia will stay young for twenty years. "

"Crystals huh?'' She thought, ''I have some knowledge about crystals.....a huge book about them. I'll be happy to show it to you, at my home later if you like.''

"No it won't help... I know everything about it and how it works. We mine it for a living.... The crystal is said to contain a power to keep those who use it alive but it comes at the cost of being imprisoned for twenty years." He leaned against a building "it's been ten since they were all imprisoned.

"Oh...i see.'' She said, ''Well at least you'll get to see them again in ten years....'' She trailed off.

"Ten years. Being a cold blooded lizard alone in this world." He looked to her. "I sometimes wish I wasn't cursed to live in sub zero climates.

"You don't have to be alone, your only alone if you isolate your self from others.'' she tilted her head.

"Or they avoid me. So far your th only one whose stayed by me so long" he said. "Come on hot chocolate's on me"

"Okay .'' She nodded and walked alongside him.

They made there way to small coffee shop that was very busy it seemed from the cold. Yoko looked up and down the the menus to see what kind of drinks there were.

Frost toned down the cooling. And looked at the menu. "I'll have an ice mocha. And whatever the little lady wants."

"A hot chocolate with whipped cream, powdered sugar, cinnamon, Carmel, chocolate, and a cherry please.''

The man behind the counter nodded. 
Frost smiled. "My someone has a sweet tooth" he said looking to her.

She blushed a bit putting her hands behind her back, ''And, so what if I have a sweet tooth.''

Frost chuckled. "I'm not saying it's bad. Just means your a sweet girl" he blushed himself. Trying to hide it in the blue scales

She glanced at him, her white muzzle turning pinkish, she tried to burry it in her scarf. "Thanks...''

He smiled handing her her hot chocolate. "Your welcome" he paid the man and took his ice coffee. "Maybe we can head to your place. I would like to check out that book you told me about" he wasn't trying to push anything but he had an idea.

''Okay,'' She took her hot coco and sipped on it, starting out the door. ''But well have to walk through the park.''

Frost smiled sipping his coffee. "What's so bad about the park?" He asked her "if anything we can just skate through."

''I didn't mean anything bad by it, I just thought it would be nice, and its better than taking the long way.'' She shrugged.

Frost smiled. "Why not" he said walking with her. Little did they know they were being watched.

They made there way through the park, the leaves falling gently from the cold. despise was summer kids were enjoying the ice on the ground gathering as much as they could to make small castles or forts, while others skated on the icy lake playing hockey or what not.

Yoko looked around her, sipping her drink in silence.

Frost looked to the kids smiling. It remind him of home the children playing in the snow and ice. He smiled the sound of a projectile heading for them. He grabbed a sharp icicle that almost hit him. "Faya... I told you to leave me alone"

A red chameleon stood next behind the two. "The crystal calls Toby. Mishia had escaped ten years ago."

"Sister...."

"She's looking for you Tobias

Yoko wouldn't see or hear faya. She would just see frost watching the children play. "You know there was a time in my village where the children were alowed to mold the crystals into pendents, and if two shared a piece that either ment love or eternal friendship"

Yoko sighed remembering when she was a child, she enjoyed watching others grow up happy and innocent unbeknownst of the true dangers that lie just before them, but there innocent eyes were masked by purity. Only a Childs eyes. But once you found the dangers the innocence would leave you through tears and sadness, and would unveil reality.
But she couldnt be sad about others, as long as they smiled she was happy.

Frost smiled looking to yoko. "Hey how much farther is it yoko?" He asked. "I know this is strange but I'm starting to get cold"

She looked at him and giggled, ''Not to far ahead, just a few more minutes.''
