Into The Flames...

...Fire. So much fire...

Staring into the ruins of the large city... the future of Soleana? It couldn't be. The highways all collapsed, water replaced by molten lava, and unforgiving flames scaattered all over. The main noticeable aspects were the firey tornadoes which ravaged the ruins, and of course a huge torrent of lava in the centre. "...Whoah..." Looking around in amazement, the blue blur wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. "...Jeez..." He sighed deeply. How could everything have possibly been reduced to this?

The lavender cat stood on one of the roof tops that weren't swallow by the amber flames and glowing lava as she gaze with her eyes to the sight of what was left, left of Soleana. A sigh escaped her lips as she shook her head- what a terrible sight. The lavender cat stood there before glancing around and with a clip of her heels she was off, crossing the roofs around the ruins of this burning place. Once stopping she glance around. "....hm..." With a slight turn, she glance once more in search for others....

The hedgehog resisted the urges to dash off suddenly or turn back. Instead, he slowly wandered across the rooftop in which he stood atop of. In pure shock, awe and wonder of what happened... his emerald green eyes looked amber in the glow of the blinding fire. Already, he was sweating due to the intense heat. How anyone could possibly have survived was a mystery. Yet deep down, he felt like there was still a flicker of hope... lost in the endless, relentless hell known as the future Soleana. "..." He kept wandering with one goal; Find anyone that knew what caused this living nightmare...

The clipping of the heels The cat wore could be hear, faint but near. The lavender cat wasn't in much sweat, but was slightly affected by the heat due to how close the lava was. Her tail flicked in angry as she glance around before spotting a glimpse of blue from the distance, slowly walking- so it was most likely the cause of glimpse was because she turn her head in one quick turn before turning to look back at what she saw. Her tail sway calmly as she wasn't so angry at the events that happen and not seeing a soul around for the time being

For once.... She wasn't alone; even when she did like being alone, she didn't enjoy it that much as lacking of such comfort was needed in most times; this was one of them. She started to calmly walk now, as she wasn't jolting around to find someone else across this wasteland of flames and amber glows.

The blue hedgehog continued his 'stroll' through the wreckages... he gave his signature whistle as he advanced. He then halted suddenly. Were those... heels? No way... Turning his head towards the faint sound, ears flickering at each individual footstep, the now red hot hedgehog took a glance to the cat in the distance. "Is that... a survivor?" He asked himself.

Only one way to find out! Quickly dashing, and leaping over a lava pit, the speed demon covered the distance between them with ease. Landing oh so quietly behind her. No denying it. Survivor for definite. Seemed oddly familiar too... He tapped her on the shoulder, a bit too hard due to his dehydration. "Hey!"

The lavender cat notice how fast the hedgehog was before he was behind her and tap her shoulder. The cat made one quick spin around to look at the hedgehog's emerald eyes- those seem feeling... Only slightly to her memory. "Hello..." She spoke, looking at the hedgehog. At lest a survivor of this ruin place is good to see and speak to after wandering for so long.

Upon seeing the lavender cat's face, the hedgehog's eyes widened in surprise. "B-Blaze?! How did yo-Why are y-..." He was quite... visibly confused at how, one: She was alive. Two: She was actually HERE. Three: She wasn't even sweating. Then again... fire princess. The hedgehog slapped himself mentally, gazing at Blaze calmly on the outside. "So... you're alive and well, eh?"

He inhaled a bit of smoke, causing him to cough. He put one finger up, and turned away, hacking and spluttering, before looking back to Blaze rubbing his throat a bit. He sure as heck was thirsty. That smoke did NOT help in the slightest.

The lavender sighed, nodding. "Let's go for higher ground, as high as we can get. Maybe the smoke won't be so much the higher we can do." She glance around for a higher roof. "However, yes, I am very much alive. However, it's nice to know the world's great hero hasn't die ether." She glance away, back on search before spotting what she was looking for. "There." She points to one of the other roofs that seem to be out of the smoke area- or as best as she could see. "We can talk there, or see if there are any other survivors..."

With a brief nod, the hedgehog got that egotistical grin on his face, before saying: "Alright, see ya up there." And before Blaze could utter another word he had already charged a spindash and launched into the building. Inside, he sprinted rapidly up the stairs, ascending really quickly. After a minute, he was on the roof. "Heh heh..." He looked to see where Blaze was.

Blaze, with leaping motion, had been going up roof to roof to where she had pointed out. She landed with a clipped sound of her heels once she made it up the roof to see the blue blur- it wasn't a race to her, but it was good to get out of the area of all the smoke. She slowly walked to his side to glance around the place. "Hm... Seem clear..." She mutter to herself, not happy to see that it was only her and the blue blur at the moment... She let out a sigh and glance at sonic, as if checking to make sure he was in fine state, which to her it seem to be. With then glance out to the flaming wastelands. "...." She stay silent for the time being, letting her thoughts travel in the back of her memories to try to piece what had happen to cause such chaos...

He had the most smug expression ever when he discovered that he had beaten the cat, but the expression soon changed to seriousness, as he heard her words. "...Darn... this is terrible... all those people..." He let off a depressed sigh, before sleekly rubbing his 'eyebrows', and leaning against the chest height barricade which looked weak. Sonic was trying to hide the fact he was literally dying of thirst, failing miserably. He discretely rubbed his throat before looking at the lavender cat again. "Well... we have quite a view here. We can just scout for survivor-" He coughed again, more dryly this time.

The lavender cat let out a growled of annoyances. "However, we need to find a way to gain water, Hedgehog. Without it neither of us can survive this wasteland." She flicked her tail. "We have to scout out for water, and food if any live. Along the way we will take whom ever live pass the chaos with us." She sighed, shaking her head as she turn away from the view. She could tell the hedgehog was thirsty, but now the issue of such thing was starting to affect her. They can't go on much longer without water, and she knew this very well....

Sonic nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a plan. But where on Mobius are we gonna find water?" He asked, biting back another cough. Wow, the city definitely took the life out of you. "Eughh..." Sonic silently groaned. The heat was too much, even for him.

Blaze sighed. "We just need to see if anything higher than these buildings can help us find something that might be close to a cave, caves always have some water. However, I am unsure if there is any caves around..."

The hedgehog gave a slight shrug. "Eeeeh... doubt there'l be any caves in a firey city really. But yeah... getting higher up and away from all of these collapsing rocks, the fire and out of the darn heat would help. A lot..." He tapped his foot on the roof, putting a crack in it. "Jeez, this whole place is a wreck, isn't it, Blaze?" The blue blur peered around again, before crouching, and leaping high into he air, and homing atacking into a worn out ring monitor which stood atop a high up ledge. A little higher, and they'd be out of that hell. "Blaze, come up here! I think our luck just hit the roof. There's a cave right here! Talk about humungous!" He whistled at the sheer size of the cave which stood before him.

Blaze's ears perked, glancing. "Good find." She leaped up after the blue hedgehog, landing ever-so carefully as she glance to the cave. "Yes... I'm sure we can use this as a place to stay till we fully grasp on what is going on..." She mutter before walking straight into the cave, searching to see if she couldn't find some drinking source of the cave... If not, they will have to rest here for a bit before heading out to find another cave of similar size...

The blue blur simply nodded in response, before walking inside slowly. "Hopefully there WILL be water. First time I've actually wanted that. Heh heh..." He scratched his head, before advancing further inside. "Where'd be a good place to look first?"

The lavender cat glance to him. "Caves are normally form by water, so hopefully there is truly a little steam inside the cave itself, or at lest a big enough puddle of water for both of us." she started to form further back before her ears twitched. "Hm?" With a flicked of her wrist fire form in her head to give some light. "Hm... Sounds like there is some water..."

Sonic notices a pool of the stuff. In fact, it was unnaturally deep. "...Ya think that's good enough?" He remarks, before walking over to it. "There shouldn't be THIS much, should there?"

Blaze walked over, kneeling down. "Aa lest it's an underground water source.... Meaning there can be as much as we can have." She stood up, glancing to sonic. "Well, there's water, better drink up..." She glance to the entrances of the cave. "We can stay in here, however, we'll have to further out food..." She sighed.

Sonic scooped up some water using his hands, and drank quite a lot, fully hydrating himself. "Whoaah... that's good stuff." He finished up quite quickly, before looking around the cave. "If only there was edible stuff in here... ah well-"

The ground began to shake... what was that? "!?" Sonic looked around in awe, before dashing outside. "...Ho-oly... *ring!*"

It was Iblis.

Blaze ran after sonic, her hips clipping against the ground before stopping beside him. "That's..." She narrowed her eyes as she glares to the creature that was Iblis, lava and flames... The very creature, she assume, to have put this city into ruins. She glared coldly. "That's just great..." She mutter.

The hedgehog frowns. "...Who-... What..." He stares at the large creature made of magma and fire. "...Oh man..."

Blaze sighed, shaking her head a bit. " I in fact don't know what that thing is, but I know for a fact it's part of this cause of this chaos we're in now." Her tail flicked, her thoughts roaming in thoughts now. She leaped up higher to get a higher view, as if trying to further out of to judge about the set with a plan. "Hm..."

"If it's the cause of the chaos, then it's an enemy to me and everyone on Mobius! We're gonna stop that thing, one way or another!" He leaped upwards so he was on a much higher ledge. "I'm hydrated, and ready to kick some butt..." He said, full of ego as normal. ...Typical. That ego eventually would probably kill him.
